I know you're not supposed to run more than one REM wire from the single one off of the head unit, but I'm kind of (read: really, really) crunched for time at the moment - it would just be a small component amp and the subwoofer amp.

I emailed Dom, but have not heard back yet, just wondering because I thought I would go digging again for someone to make me one, if you guys have any suggestions or insight on this feel free the motor is the 104.992 3.2L I-6 DOHC 24v

Can anyone compare em to the 8053? I have the option of buying the 8053 right now but i need to make sure it has a RCA input for my Omnifi. Plus wanna make sure whether there is much of a difference between this unit and the new one. Plus the new one matches with my dash better.

Ok, heres the deal. I have my Orion 4004 underneath my 2500D and it gets hot. How hot? Very hot. Hot enough to burn your hand. Hot enough to send it into protection after listening to it for 30 minutes. The components are bridged on it at 4 ohms. Many people have told me that it shouldn't be getting this hot. I think tomorrow I'm going to rewire it to only use 2 channels which will suck as far as power goes. I may also try to throw my planet audio vx3002 on it and see if it does the same thing. I was just wondering what most 1kw + amps do max power at and remain stable according to manufacturer at. If your 1 ohm stable amp can go to .5 ohm stable with some modding lets classify it is as doing max power at 1 ohm for the sake of this thread. Feel free to post what amp you have, what resistance it does max power at, and what rms power at that resistance is.

Well this is what happened. I have had this amp for about a year and its worked fine but i thought i would be different and i changed the shift phase knob on it from the end it was on to the other end b/c i thought it would allow for the subsonic filter to shut off for lower resonance but i was wrong. I believe it ended up blowing 2 cubes in my amp and now i need to get i repaired but i dont know where or how and even if i can repair it. It was a great amp and id like to keep it. Is there anyone out there that can help or might even know what i did really to make it blow? Help would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

just wondering, I was looking for images for a banner and I found HU's on their site, they resemble on the outside like the first run of RF HU's for a few years ago, anyway here is a pic of the top end unit: B)

so my friend buys this amp and takes it to our local shop, and is told it's a memphis that'll do 1000watts (don't know if thats rms or peak) but anyways this amp is freakin huge...gotta be like 2 feet x 9" x 2.5", and weighs like 20-30lbs....i dont have any pics of it but it has a shiny brushed finish, and no logos, or numbers on it..the top of it has a bunch of little slits that go all the way across it....but no logos...also the terminals look like 2 amps put together...2 channels on each side, 1 power, ground and rem on each side, and a filter on each side.....and its not 2 amps put together, i looked all over it and it's just 1 big amp......anybody know anything about…

basicly when i hook up the 12v source it cuts on without the rem connection and stays on, even if i conncet the rem. i'll recheck it in the morn, cuz its rainin, but yea.

i just found out this sub has a subsonic filter set with chips tuned at certain frequencies. i dont know what mine is but apparently it's affecting my lowend responce from my subs. an installer told me spl competitors use these chips to keep from blowing their subs when usu=ing ported encloseurs. he said my amps sounds like the filter is set at 40hz-nedds to be set at 25hz. i listen to mostly metal but i like the ability to get low with certain synthetic beats(808). im using a dqx as my sound processor- i have my pmf set at 20 and my mid/low at 90 i just cant think of anything else to cure my lowend blues. im using 2 idq12's in a sealed 1.8 cubic box in the back of a 2003…

Poppin Sound (help) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ok.. my system was working great... i had this old deformed amp (classonic) and i connected it.. and conected my SW pre amp RCA from my headunit to it.. and it didnt work... then i took off the RCA's from it connectted it to my Amp that am generally using with my sub.. and it didnt work.. then i cutted the RCA's and i changed the polarity of the wires +ve with -Ve and vice versa .. and the AMP and subwoofer worked.. but when i changed the setting of the woofer in the HU to REVERSE.. i hear this POPPIN sound n the sub go above its X max for a sec. even when i tyurn the vol…

Has anyone ever done this? I'm going to be making custom door panels and would like to incorporate the HU into the drivers side door. I am looking for a unit that will be compatible with this mounting scheme.

welp guys... I was lookin at the batcap 800 for my friends Integra Couple of reasons im considering this over a group 51 Yellow Top it has WAY MORE CCA Its lighter and it costs the same Also, its black, so it doesnt draw attention like a Yellow Top would Only problem i can see is RC, the stocker is 70m The Yellow top is 75m But Batcap doesnt list any sort of RC on the 800

Ok i have decided to say screw it and just buy something big, and worry abou tmoney later ...only because i realize i am going to piss the money away on little stuff anyway so i might as well buy something big now.. Ok so the viper was 332 on ebay, but ikesound is not relisting it, so it is 377 from their main site...Big diffrence huh ... should i set the amp and hu to match each other? ive heard of bypassing the amp's low pass crossover if thats even possible. any help would be appreciated.

I drew out a little wiring diagram(yes i know it's crappy cause it's offa ms paint) for connecting RCA jacks off the HU for my planned system. In the front, the RE XXX woofer will be run off of a 2 channel amp and the tweets will be run off of two channels of the 4 channel amp. The rear midbass(Adire Koda 6.5) will be run off of the rear channel of the 4 channel amp. Crossover duty will be done by the HU(plan to get an Eclipse) and the 4 channel amp. Does that look right? or do i need something extra?

Well I once again thought an update was in order. A few interesting developments. Recently won an amplifier naming contest for **Zed Audio**. I named the new 6 channel amplifier 'LEVIATHAN' This contest awards me $100USD towards a Zed Audio Amplifier, and another 'free amplifier of Stephen's choice (from other manufacturing at the Zed Audio factory). I need an amp that puts out 40-80x2 for my mb quart components. My budget is around 100. I've seen some cheap clarion amps on ebay. Do you guys have any suggestions? What do you think about this memphis amp? Would be nice if i can extract 70x2 out of it. But it is refurbed... Any suggestions would help guys.
