Picking up one from a friend as part of a great package deal in a few days and i am trying to get a little feedback from anyone who is familiar with them. It should suffice for now until i have time and $$$ to build something better. I'm picking up the amp, a Rockford T210d2 sub, a sealed box thats basically useless but still, and a 0 awg wire kit for 350 dollars. Basically i just wanna know if the amp or the sub are the weaker link and which i should replace first. and also if you guys think that it will run an icon 12 ok until i get my sundown? and then hopefully an Xcon insides look fairly beefy

I have a question if anyone can help answer it. this is the problem i'm having. i have 2 of the fi 18 bl's. i'm running them with 2 of the mtx 7801d amps. 1 per sub. this is the part that gets weird. i have all thing hooked up but not the remote wire to the amps yet. the subs start freaking out. when the gains and the db boost on the amps are turned all down the subs still move a little without signal from the deck yet. as soon as you start to increase the gains the subs do it again. like i said NO signal from the deck. i have to use the db boost on the amps, because as soon as i hook up the bass knob the subs freak out. i'm kind of lost. when i have hooked up the remote …

Used to have a Hifonics 2000bxi and when I ran that full tilt it would only get luke warm. Now that I've upgraded to my mb quart 2000.1d, running it at even 3/4 tilt makes it get really toasty. To the point where it hurts to leave your hand on it for more than 4 seconds. Voltage never dips below 13.5v full tilt and I have it tuned on my DMM for 2000w (does 2200w i hear?) The amp is directly grounded to my rear batt and all the connections are snug and tight. The amp is also mounted right by my seat openings so it has pretty decent air flow. Anyone elses discus series amp run toasty like mine?

Hey all. The topic pretty much states it all. I've got a 225 amp EA alt and 13.6 idle voltage isn't cutting it. If anyone knows of a VCM or way to simply increase voltage I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I want to make 2 buss bars, one for ground and one for positive. I'd like to mount them to opposite sides of the same piece of wood. No pieces of metal will touch, so would this be ok?

I have two sundown Sa-12s on a saz-1500d v.3 and a stock alt and battery. I'm probably in my car for an hour a day and i don't always have it turned up. Someone told me i can wire it at 1 ohm but to set the gain down. I have the big three so would this even be safe and if so what would i set the gain too?

So awhile ago I had a battery isolator installed on my tahoe and I'd like to remove it...It's bolted onto the plastic fuse housing, as in inside the fuse housing there's nuts securing the bolts... Any idea how to get to those nuts so I can remove it and put a fuse holder there instead? Thanks

I currently have one d2 ohm rl-p 18 and a saz1000d in my lincoln towncar, but i am about to get an izuzu rodeo due to me getting it for free and because my lincoln gets 10 mpgs. lol. but what i want to know is if i get one more d2 ohm 18 and one more saz1000d, could i strap the amps and power the 18's at 2 ohms? im confused with the strapping thing. thanks.

can i run my speaker wire and rca cables in the same door jam or do i need to run them seperate. power wire is seperate from rcas but does speaker wire matter or not another questions trying to wire up my apline 6.5 coaxils how do i know which one is the postive and which one is negative or does it matter

im running 0 gauge, from redtop, to a kicker 1500. which the battery terminals are 2 i believe. more or less, am i gonna be using power if i use gauge reducers?

Hey guys,I'm purchasing a few things for my 2003 GTI and I was wondering how much of a difference (quality wise) a head unit would be. I was suggested Alpine CDA 9887, but was wondering if it would really improve the sound, or should I just stick with something cheaper, since I am in school and kind of strapped for cash to get a head unit with all that stuff. What I plan to purchase: Helix HXS 136 Esprit Sundown SAX-125.2 Fi Q12 Diamond audio D3 800.1 or Sundown SAZ1500D(used) Cheers!

So I am trying to figure out which LOC is best. I know about the 3SIXTY, CleanSweep, and new MS-8. I'm not really looking for anything that complicated. I want to retain my factory steering wheel functions, sat. radio, bluetooth func. etc. I really believe in the modo, K.I.S.S.=Keep It Simple Stupid. Because of this I was dead set on the Audio Control LC6iBUT just found out about the re-Q5. Now I'm unsure which is best, and more importantly best for me. 1st the re-Q5 is just a bit more than the LC6i but still with-in my budget. I had one question and maybe a manufacturer can answer this, why is it that eq's have boost circuits instead of just reducing the overpowering frequencies? If your boost the frequency voltage, doesn't that create an undesireable risk of clipping in the system?

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the forum, I've been lurking for awhile trying to learn as much as I can. Anyways, I've had a 15" Memphis sub and a Memphis Power Reference P200.2 two channel amp for awhile. Lately my sub started to sound like it was fixing to go. I found someone selling two Memphis 12s in a box on Craigslist. I went and met the guy and hooked up the speakers, and they sounded good, so I paid the guy and started to get on my way. The speaker wires this guy had for the 12s were crimped and part of the metal was exposed. I went to push the box the rest of the way into my Explorer, and like an idiot, I let the exposed metal on the speaker wires make contact. Smok…

Well yesterday i bought a Eclipse avn5500 for 25 bucks. Well after a quick call to eclipse to make sure it wasnt stolen i got bored and decided to hook it up in my truck. Well after I booted it up it said insert map disk.. well that's where i am stuck I am finding them on ebay for about 100 bucks any body have a spare floating around? Also what is the opinions of this H/u?
