Having a small issue with the 9884. The H/U automatically decreases the treble (noticeably) above 25 on the volume setting. Same problem when using the tuner/xm unit to which I have the gain at maximum on the xm or else it's too low. How can I turn this automatic function off? My old Cda-9827 used to crank the volume way higher with NO problem. Now I can only reach 90% of its limits before it starts changing the balance and sounds like chit. Pisssing me off

I have two sundown Sa-12s on a saz-1500d v.3 and a stock alt and battery. I'm probably in my car for an hour a day and i don't always have it turned up. Someone told me i can wire it at 1 ohm but to set the gain down. I have the big three so would this even be safe and if so what would i set the gain too?

i need 2 batterys that will replace 4 hc2000's any help plz

Has anyone used Odyssey brand batteries in their setups, and if so, how do they compare to other brands as far as disharge and keeping voltage up?

Does the SPL FX1-4000D amp do rated power? Or does anyone have experience with it?

Lately its been real hot here...over 100 several times. I park my Tahoe outside in the heat and usualy only drive it on the weekends. I have an SAZ1500D. After its been sitting for a few days ill hop in there and the bass seems to be all the way up.(As if the gain knob is all the way up). Ill unplug the cable at the knob and nothing changes, I'll go to the back and disconnect it at the amp and it lowers itself back down allowing me to control it again. Real strange to me and it has only started happening since this damn heat has hit. Any idea's? I would like to think its something wrong with the knob/wire but who knows. im running 0 gauge, from redtop, to a kicker 1500. which the battery terminals are 2 i believe. more or less, am i gonna be using power if i use gauge reducers?

So i have 2 Earthquake PH5000/d1 amps running 4 FI SSD 15s. I have found a low popping noise in the speakers from 1 of the amps. When i unplug the RCA cables from it it gets louder. I tried switching the 2 amps and it stays on that one amp. I also have an audiocontrol in dash epicenter that can measure dbs. One night after i built the box i went for a test drive i was hitting 158 on it. the next day and since then i have not been able to hit above 155. Today i was outside messing with it and I unhooked the speaker wires from the amp that is popping and the subs on the other amp got louder. That was while the truck was running and music playing. Well yesterday i bought a Eclipse avn5500 for 25 bucks. Well after a quick call to eclipse to make sure it wasnt stolen i got bored and decided to hook it up in my truck. Well after I booted it up it said insert map disk.. well that's where i am stuck I am finding them on ebay for about 100 bucks any body have a spare floating around? Also what is the opinions of this H/u?

Again am using a US amp MD.3D. I have a HO alternator from Nations and a kenetik HC 2000. Would this be enough to supply this amp with the needed power. Am wanting to run 2 15" subs, 1000 watts a piece. Thanks in advance for the response.

I have a JL 500/1 amp going to 2 memphis 10s. When we first installed every thing sounded great and plently of power. After a few days the amp went down on power and under cold start up it makes a buzzing or hissing noise from the amp. When the subs hit it goes away for a second , but it comes right back. at first it was making the noise for a few minites ,but know it is like 5 minintes after the start up. Does any body know what the noise is or why it doesn't have the power it used to??

Does the SAZ-3000 accept a hifonics remote gain knob cord? If not then where can I get one? any place like Fry's or radio shack have them? or adapters?

If I run 0 guage fron front batt to rear batt, then connect two amps to rear batt whats the best way....1} run single power wire to distro block fron rear batt 2} run an individual wire from each amp to the batt? Second part whats the best for grounding rear batt? run a ground back to front batt or ground to chassis or both? Also same question on grounding my amps ,to the rear batt or on the frame?

Hello SSA I am wanting to know what are the subwoofer settings on the head units supposed to be set at? I am trying to get the most possible but I'm assuming if they are turned up all the way up I'll be clipping? no really sure where to set them at. Anyone please help lol

so my buddys had his amp unhooked for a couple months and today i went over to his house and just reconected the power wire and fuzes because thats all that he had unhooked and when we crunk the car and turned the system on his subs just let out what sounded like a 40 hz tone and nothing else his door speakers were playing the song but his subs were just going non stop the system in question is a power acoustic 820 2ohm mono ampand two memphis tens white and black i havent seen the back of the so i dont know exactly what they are someone help me please

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the forum, I've been lurking for awhile trying to learn as much as I can. Anyways, I've had a 15" Memphis sub and a Memphis Power Reference P200.2 two channel amp for awhile. Lately my sub started to sound like it was fixing to go. I found someone selling two Memphis 12s in a box on Craigslist. I went and met the guy and hooked up the speakers, and they sounded good, so I paid the guy and started to get on my way. The speaker wires this guy had for the 12s were crimped and part of the metal was exposed. I went to push the box the rest of the way into my Explorer, and like an idiot, I let the exposed metal on the speaker wires make contact. Smok…

Know thats not that much but really just want something better than running them off the head unit. So what do you guys think?

So awhile ago I had a battery isolator installed on my tahoe and I'd like to remove it...It's bolted onto the plastic fuse housing, as in inside the fuse housing there's nuts securing the bolts... Any idea how to get to those nuts so I can remove it and put a fuse holder there instead? Thanks

Does anyone have any experience with these? Or the line. I used to run The old SPL's SPL160s and the Rubi 1002. Did very well with them. I know epsilon owns them now. Do they do rated, Efficient, Will they run at .67 or .5 Ohm? any and all help is appreciated. Price wise and Numbers they look good but after Carrying and running American Bass and Power bass Amplifiers it's kinda hard to deviate.

k, i got a question, im getting ready to order my amp(s) and im considering getting 2 bxi 1608d, which would give 1100w RMS at 2 ohms http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12211_...+BXi+1608D.html i have the dual1 on the BLs, i was told i could only wire each at .5 or 2 ohms, or join them together and get 1 or 4 ohms? so i decided to take the "Easier" way and choose 2 amps, 1 per sub i am confused as to which would be the correct way f wiring these so the correct way to wire this would be option 2 since its a 2ohm load, but it says the woofer is 4ohms(crutchfield) but then the rockford has the 2ohm woofer at 1 ohm anf both diagrams are the same? so wat ohms would a dual1 be…
