I'm in a quandary. I need to make a quick decision on amp. Equipment I have is 220 amp alt, big three done, two hc 2400. Subs are two fi ssd dual 2, box tuned to 45 Hz. I plan on competing in s3 and trying to decide which amp to get before pre-order ends. Would you go with the saz-2500 or the saz-3500. All info and suggestions appreciative.

I saw a discussion about this a long while ago on some audio site and can't find it again. I just wanted to know if there are any substancial advantages to running power wire directly from the alt to the back battery bank. For example: I have 4 runs of 1/0 running from front to back, 2+ and 2-. Right now, both + are running back from the + on my front battery. Would it be advantagous to run one run back from the + on the front battery, and the other from the + on the alt to the back battery bank? Advantages, disadvantages, not matter? My electrical will consist of 2+ and 2- runs of 1/0 from front to back, big 3 in 1/0, one 290 amd DC alt (2 in the future), g34 YellowTop u…

Hey Guys! Alpine has came out with a new PDX series! They look pucking sexy as ever Few Copy and Pastes from their website. Power Management Processor PDX amps incorporate Alpine’s new Power Management circuit. The Power Management Processor controls all aspects of amplifier performance, monitoring voltage, temperature and output to ensure uninterrupted power output for non-stop listening. If the amp gets too hot, the Thermal Protection circuit kicks in and gradually decreases output power until it cools down. Once cool, the power output automatically increases back to the previous level. If the circuit detects a Low Battery condition, it will gradually decrease power …

I was thinking about trying to put in 2 ssa fcons when they come out. I think they said they would be 600watts rms a piece. I drive '97 corolla with stock alt and a run-of-the-mill battery. The stock alternator is 70-80 amps i believe. 1200w would most likely be too much for the electric even with the big 3 and a new battery? I cant find any specific h/o alternators for my car. Not to mention that I probably couldn't afford to buy an expensive one and have it put in. I may just stick with dcons if this is the case.

My price range is nothing higher than $230. I have a list of my choices, so im politely asking if you guys could give me your 2cents on which amp(s) would be my best choice. I have a Alpine CDA-9884. I got this in January, and used it until about 2 weeks ago. I got a different vehicle, and now have the hu in my 1998 dodge ram 1500. its been in for about a week. now the issue: when i have the hu on the CD player or iPod, music is only played out of the speakers in the back doors. The truck is a quad cab. On the harness, the factory hu had a black ground, i was told to clamp that with the Alpine black. And the blue/black from the Alpine i clamped with the blue/black from the truck harness. I left the reg blue by its self since i dont have a remote wire ran for an amp right now. I hope i did that right. My questions is basically why is it on th…

I just recently purchased a Sundown SAZ 1500d amp and I was lookin thru the manual and I noticed something in it that if I'm running 1 sub that I should run the -wire to the positive and the +wire from the sub to the negative terminal on the amp for the speakers. Is this a error or this is the way I'm supposed to do it ?

Yesterday while I was driving, my amps cut off and today I found out is was my saz1500 causing a short in my remote wire. I pulled it out and looked at the inside and it looks to be some solder in between my remote and ground terminal touching. I've email dbr but I probably won't get a response today because it's Sunday. I was thinking I could just remove the solder but my question is what would cause this to happen and would it happen again?

this may be a dumb question but i figured id give it a shot... im so tired of having my old iraggi alt (ford 3g) sitting around so is there any way possible to make this alt fit my '02 5.4 f150? it currently has a ford 6g alt. i checked and yess the plug is the same on both alts. but the bolt pattern is different. i wish i had a extra $250 siting around so i could pick up a nice used alt. for my truck but i dont and i cant get rid of this alt. so can it be done??

I have one SAZ 1500v.2 and I also have one Crunch GP3000d-Pro. I need to power 2 FI Q's and was gonna run the Crunch amp but appearance wise two matching SAZ1500's would look much better. The subs are Dual 1's so I would have to run the Sundowns at .5ohm to get a 1 ohm load but I would be easy with the gain knob and also will have the electrical to back them up. Anyone see a problem with this other than warranty issues. Curious what to do. I know both will do work but Im sorta torn. Im thinking the 2 Sundowns may sound cleaner but at .5 maybe not? My trucks interior is all black, lol

I have a quick question concerning the Alpine 9886 headunit. I know it`s not the best to use dynamic bass features such as bass boost, but what about the bass feature that lets your widen your bass (Q0,Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4)? I notice the bass gets noticeably louder when I bring it up the scale towards Q4 but also less accurate, is toying with this feature when playing really loud bad for my woofer or am I good to go?

Hey I got an amp that says its minimum impedance bridged is 4 ohms, and will produce 1000w at 4 ohms bridged. Ive been running 2 dual 4 ohm subs to make the 4 ohms bridged mode, but due to power limitations I want to take out one of the subs so I can get more power to push a single sub. Since the amp does 1000w bridged at 4 ohms, would it be safe to assume that if I wired a single sub to run at 8 ohms, it would produce 500w rms bridged? Edit: by power limitations I mean I'm running my stock 80 amp alternator, no spare battery and no big 3. so my subs have to split somewhere around 400 watts, id rather just push one at 400 watts than 2 at 200.

So as of now, I plan on getting 4 alpine type s component speakers, tweeters and cross overs, *I may also add two 6x9 kicker coaxial speakers* Anyways I was wondering, out of these head units, which would be the best for sq to power the speakers and which one is the most reliable. http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/fh-p8000bt.aspx http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/ptid-8940nt.aspx http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/kenwooddpx503.aspx http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/adb340mp.aspx http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/vm9311.aspx

Help if you can, PG is ignoring my emails. I am running my PG M44 bridged to 155@4ohms x 2 to power my front stage; however, the only way I could figure out how to do this is to use RCA Y splitters and run the left RCA to both inputs on one side of the amp and the right to both inputs on the other side. Isn't there a better way to turn the M44 into a 2 channel amp? If/when I go active it will be just running my mids...

I have a 2006 Corolla Type S. My alternator is 70 amps. I have a Batcap 800 as kinda like a 2nd battery for my JBL GTO 1201.1 II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms. My system dims a lil bit but not too badly at night. I had a pair of Kicker CVX 12s powered off this amp and one blew and I sold the other one. I also had a pair of Orion HP12s and one blew and I still have the other one. The reason the HP blew though was I was playing Trap or Die by Young Jeezy with my iPods Bass Booste on to make the song hit harder like an idiot lol (I know not to do that ever again). One question I have is could not my electrical system actually be damaging to sub setups? In my…
