hello all i know i don't post much but i need some help, i have a 94 supra and i think it's time to upgrade the audio system. first let me say space is limited, i want to use a 5 channel amp because that's all it seem like i have room for. i will be using polk component speakers zx350.4 and they are 6 1/2, i also need some input on some bass speakers i don't want anything bigger than 10" i have a box to go in the stock location. any info will be appreciated. thanks.....

i have recently installed a subwoofer in my car, its a hertz hx250 d wich delivers 450Wrms in 2 ohm. It is driven by a Audison SR 1D mono amplifier wich delivers 460 wrms in 2 ohm. i just discovered that adjusting this shit was easier said than dine. So i wonder if anyone might help me along with tips and advises. Kay.

looking to run 2 XXX 6500's on to T3 audio tsns 15's in a flat wall in my car for super street 1-2 class i have heard that the 6500 is a beast but also sucks current any body got any suggestions? will be powered by kinetik 16v's (12 to 18 batteries)

Hey guy! I'm upgrading my electrical system, and I want to know what size pulley should I get for a 250amp alt going into a 2002 ford expedition xlt. ok so last night and all day today everythings been great. setup has been beatin pretty good. ok so i went to my ol' lady's house today and had no problems what so ever on the way. my car set for 4-5 hours. i go to leave and my car wouldnt start. thought it might be a loose batt terminal checked that didnt work. my voltage meter said 12.8 turn the key and it would go to 0.0 then to 9.0 and back to 12.8. ended up using a jump box to get it started and voltage went right up to like 15.3 with the headlights on. if i turned my volume up over 1/4 up the stereo would shut off ,lights would dim ,and voltage would drop to like 9.0 ...hit the highway and i could turn it bout 1/2 w…

Ok well right now i have a pair of Polk db651's in my front doors, and my stock bose speakers in the back (they barely put out any sound at all that i can hear). I have a sony gt620ip (not the best but its what i have). Now the question is... Will my front speakers get more power from the h/u if i disconnect the back two speakers?

I have a 2008 yukon with a stock alt...if i were to add a second alt,say a dc xp 280...can i leave my stock alt running the stock battery...then have my dc alt powering 3 xs3400...

I'll start by listing all the equipment used in the vehicle (2008 Dodge Caliber) and say that all of this has been installed and working fine for months until tonight. Starting up front, we have a 230amp DC alt, hooked to a factory replacement Duralast battery under the hood and the big 3 in 1/0. There's a fused power wire running from said under hood Duralast to Kinetik 1400 in the back near the amplifier, then on to the amplifier which is a Hifonics bxi1606D wired to 1 ohm. This amp is powering a pair of D4 Skar VVX12s. I have a AQ1200d with the clipping indicator on the gain knob, and I noticed that the light blinks earlier than it did before. For example, on a certain song the volume on the HU would be 22 without any clipping. Now at 22 on the same song, it blinks, so I bring it down to 21 and no blinks. I noticed this happened a couple months before also, and it feels like the power of the system is depleting. Is this a sign the electrical is giving out? Right now, I'm running a 150a alternator, big 3, d34 yellowtop for the front only, and 1400rms for the total of the amps.

I traded a friend for this beefy mechman 270 amp alternator for my truck. It just looks so much better... What do yall think?

so i called to see how much everything was gonna cost plus the 3yr warranty and they said they were all sold out but the website said they werent....anyways they said they should have some more in a couple of weeks,i knew that was gonna happen with them having that price on that x889....now i dont know if i should wait to see if they get more or if i should just pay the extra $50 that the closest other store has it at.....but then again the 8445 is around that same price so i dont know now,dammitt everytime i make a decision something happends....grrrrrr LOL

I currently have a Kenwood Excelon 891 hu and have been happy until now. I'm looking for another clean 24 bit dac, cd, mp3 player. This one is under warrenty getting fixed and thinking about another. I just want a clean sounding quality cd player that can play ipod and sirius. I want sound quality over anything. Any suggestions I'm at a loss on where to go what brand and such. Thinking about Alpine 9887, what do you guys think?

I have a Sundown Audio SAE-1200 amp running 2 SA15s. I'm having a problem getting sound out of my subwoofers. At first I had a Pioneer 4100 DVD when this first started happening. The Subs would cut in and out, then finally stayed off but the amp stayed on. So i had my local shop check the voltage and they said no power was going through my rca's. So I had a different cd player and installed it. After I installed it everything was working fine again. Then today the subs started going in and out. ive already got the big 3 all done in 1/0 with terminals soldered and all the goods, but im gonna install the alt soon and i was wondering if its necessary to double up on the 1/0 or no? and it says in the paperwork to add another ground from the closest ear on the alt to the frame..is that necessary too or just a good idea?

Hello Im knew to the forum and a newbie and need some help. I got all wires connected besides 3 on the Scosche harness(orange with black line saying dimmer ground)(black with silver line saying amplifier grond)(all black saying chassis ground) 2 on the Pioneer harness(blue with a white line silver spots with a tag saying system remote control)(black with silver spots,seems to be twice as long as the others) Do I twist all 3 wires from the Scosche harness to gether and hook it to the 1 long black with silver spots wire from the Pioneer harness? k, i got a question, im getting ready to order my amp(s) and im considering getting 2 bxi 1608d, which would give 1100w RMS at 2 ohms http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12211_...+BXi+1608D.html i have the dual1 on the BLs, i was told i could only wire each at .5 or 2 ohms, or join them together and get 1 or 4 ohms? so i decided to take the "Easier" way and choose 2 amps, 1 per sub i am confused as to which would be the correct way f wiring these so the correct way to wire this would be option 2 since its a 2ohm load, but it says the woofer is 4ohms(crutchfield) but then the rockford has the 2ohm woofer at 1 ohm anf both diagrams are the same? so wat ohms would a dual1 be…

Just ordered the alpine and i know i can not use video with my iphone 5 like an older iphone but i had an idea tho im not sure if it will work. What if i get the lighning digital av adapter from apple (HDMI for mirroring onto your tv) and then I get a HDMI to RCA adaptor and hook that up to the video in, sounds like it would work what do you guys think.
