I currently have a Mechman 270a in my 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 and it's going through belts like crazy. I have checked pulley alignment, tension, and have done everything I can think of to solve it. This only happens when the alternator is under a load when I play my beats. I have roughly 600 amps of draw with nearly 12,000 watts of battery reserve. It does the squealing the worse at idle, and actually tears these belts at higher engine speeds. I use the good Gates belts, but they don't last more than a few weeks. I bought a singer alternator from a guy and it was for my trailblazer the alternator fits but my plug on the alt is a 2 pin and the alt I bought has the four pin plug what should I do

Lately my cars "radio" fuses have been blowing not the fuse on the hu but the cars radio fuse. First time the fuse blew when I first turned the car on.. Which was weird since I never had a fuse go out on me since I had the hu a year or so now. So I went and pick up more fuses (8amp Volvos standard) put one in worked fine at idle went down the road turned the hu volume up half way and just as the bass hit the fuse popped!. So the next day I took the hu out looked around checked ground power etc nothing was wrong ( besides a big mess Of wires and rcas) placed another fuse in with the hu out and banged on it for 20mins zero problems. $450 amp budget, which way would you go? so as it is stated i have light dimming. i recently well a few hours ago installed a newish alternator for my 2000 toyota camry the alternator is from a totaled/damaged 2003 toyota highlander which is 130amps rather then the stop 80 amp alternator that came with the camry. so car i did the "big 2 upgrade" which consists of batt + to alt +', batt - to strut tower and the new alternator when i turn the up to where i normally put it with the old one well 5 notchs up the lights dim but if im calculations are correct the newish alt should have enough power to power the subs and the rest of the car no problem. but that is not that case. since the amp gain is less the half way …

So me, the gf and the little one are going on a trip next week and I wanna get my DVD working in my truck so the little one can watch DVD's. Now, I wanna bypass the parking system feature on it so the little one can watch a movie or 2 on the highway. I know this is illegal but its only for this trip. We usually use the gf's vehicle but hers in the shop for warranty work. Whats the easiest way to bypass this?

Looking to buy a saz 2500 and just seeing what you guys think i should do about electrical to power the amp. It'll be pushing a sp4 reconed by psi audio, they told me that it will be 2500 rms or better. ill be running the amp at .5 ohm. For electrical so far i have the big 3, a 350 amp alternator by bnr parts (junk by the way) looking for a 270 amp alt by mechman and a xs power d3400 under the hood with all 1/0 gauge. Hey everyone, I just got my o scope and decided to tune my system. First i did the door speakers since they are ran off the HU, and found I have a max volume of 31/50, all the sine waves looked good, went smooth as butter.... then i went to the sub amp, brz1200d, and i have the weirdest thing showing up on the scope. a picture will be below, or a link. i have eliminated the rca's, hu, and almost all factors with this. even with no signal going to it, and just the amp on, no rca's connected, no bass knob, and i still get a feedback.... please help me figure out why this is happening, i dont want to bump my sub till this is figured out.

I tried searching but search feature doesn't really like small words like Big 3. I've seen it a lot where people say you can leave the stock alternator/ground cables connected, but does disconnecting them have any effect? I ask because I would rather just cap the stock cables off for a cleaner install.

Hey guys, Ive searched and searched for threads and information regarding how to strap your amps and how to wire the sub appropriate but nothing is very clear and I dont want a mistake on my hands... so heres what I have going on, I am strapping two APSM-1500s with a dual 2 ohm sub. how do i need do i need to run speaker wire between the amps? and should I wire my subwoofer down to 4 ohm if Im trying to get a 2 ohm load from the amps? I appreciate the help

I hooked my amplifier after having it sit in my room for a couple months up to my car today and the protection light came on for a split second, then the green light came on after 15 secs or so of no light at all. It was hella wierd. I tryed it again, and now the red light blinks for a split second but then no lights at all. I can hear the amp turn on, but it has no light or power. I opened it up and didnt see any physical problems with the board (blown fuses, smell, etc...) Any ideas what it might be? Im positive it has nothing to do with RCA's or speaker wire. i have been looking into going into after market for my car alarm and i have looked at reviews and a lot of them point out the Viper 5901. I know with the viper alarms you have to have them installed by a professional installer in order to retain the warranty. I am just looking for an alarm that will notifiy me if my vehcile is getting broken into etc, shock sensors are a plus as well as other cool features but if there are better out there for the price then let me know. Thanks in advance, just looking to get something that i could run outside and catch the person in the act and or call the cops etc.

I'm in the market for new alternators and I was talking to a guy about the Mechman 370a units. he was telling me they would never put out advertised amperage and they wouldn't even turn on at idle speed. I think its bs, but do any of you have experience with these alts?

My amplifier keeps getting EXTREMELY HOT and going into protection mode after 30-45 minutes of listening to music. I bought a 4.4 Farad capacitor to help fix the problem but it keeps happening.. So Found this on WoofersETC today and was wondering on opinions. I am going to get the Soundqubed Q4-120 but from what I've read in the last few months Focal is VERY VERY good but expensive. I will be installing a 270amp Alternator and looking to put either 2 Xs D3100's or maybe something else i guess some like the Xp 3000's for daily ? I will be powering 2 Sundown Saz 3000d's at a final ohm load of 2ohm's (Each amp will see 1ohm load) didn't know if ohm load made a difference but none the less. Just looking what would work best and make me not have to worry about frying my amps or having the chance of heating these amps up big time from huge voltage drops etc. I might be looking at throwing up a diehard platinum 31m in the front if it will fit as well as doing the big 3. I'm changing my T600-2 running 2 P3's to a T1000_4ad. Unfortunately I have to bridge them seperately and must use two different gain controls. I wish it had a master, slave control but there independant and want to know how to balance the gain between the two subs. I don't want one sub hitting harder than the other.
