  2. Just curious about this amp, I found it online, but not many reviews. It's also in the SSA store. Looks sick, but no reviews there either. Anyone heard one, seen one, smelled one, etc. lol.

Yet again, i have a question. I am wanting to add more mids and highs to my setup, do i need a 2 or 4 channel amp to push em? Ive never done it before, never seen a reason honestly, but now i do. Also, 5 or so years ago i did a brake job for someone and they paid me with an amp. it works, but idk if it will work for mids and highs or not. any help would be appreciated. So i have a Power Acoustik Bamf series amplifier that i bought two or so months ago. When i hooked it up for the first time in my first car it worked fine. I took it out about a month later and havent used it up until today. Now heres my problem. My remote wire will not turn on my amplifier. My power and my grounds are good. the power ground and remote wires all read out to around 13.5 with the car at idle and a little over 12 when in accessory. What i dont understand is why my amplifier will not turn on even though the remote connection is good. Oh yeah the fuses are not blown either. any help would be appreciated.

  5. So looking for some info about amplifier and efficiency. I have a xcon dual 1ohm 10" so i can run at either .5ohm or 2ohm What i would like to know is 1500w @ .5ohm or 1500w @ 2ohm the 2ohm amplifier would be drawing more power to make its wattage because of the higher resistance correct ?

well i was driving all of a sudden the bass stopped i looked back to see all 4 subs "sucked" in so i shut down the power. (switched) remote The amp stayed on with subs still sucked in so i ripped out the speaker leads and the subs released, i then disconnected all power after i let the amp cool down reconnected power and tested with a dmm. results show 0 ac voltage and so i tried dc and got -93 volts wtf! any thoughts as to whats going on as the protection hasn't even tripped yet the fan doesn't fully engage now either. and there is definitely power coming from speaker terminals as it arced when testing(high power).

I've been searching the past few days for a ~2000w RMS amplifier around the $200 price range. Here's a couple amps I'm torn between: Audiopipe AP1800D - rated at 1800w rms @ 1ohm --- 180-200$ Hifonics HiFi2000D - Rated at 2000w rms @ 1 ohm --- 200-230$ Quantum Audio QA4000D - Rated at 2000w rms @ 1 ohm --- 220-240$ These are not top of the line amps no doubt, but which of these three would most likely put out the cleanest signal, do close to rated power and most efficiently? And any other ideas on other amps around this price range around 2kw rms? (No more than $250)

Im looking for suggestions on powering a single Morel Ultimo 10" 4 ohm subwoofer, preferably 2 channel that will give me sufficient power at 4 ohms bridged. that seems to me like the most cost efficient and effective way to go. My budget would be in the 300 to 600 dollar range. so far i have been looking at the ARC ks 300.2 Any suggestions will be helpful.

Just getting ideas for the next system. I want two 15's max depth of box is 26" and max width is 34-36". Height can vary. I am thinking of icons (I want my next subs to be from ssa) And am just trying to find good amplifier options. I would like something less expensive than the 2000D, but if it comes to it, that is just what i will get. Any good amplifiers that will put 2000wrms out at one or two ohms?

For some reason the fuse on my sundown 125.2 amplifier keeps popping. I do not even get to turn the car on before they pop. Once I go to insert one fuse it pops directly on contact. Can this be because all 3 fuses have to be connected without power going to them (i know that sounds stupid because of the whole current draw thing but I though I would just throw it out there). The fuse connected 18" away from the amp does not pop but the one connected to the 125.2 does. This leads me to believe that the problem lies somewhere else down the line. I checked the power and ground and they are not touching, they are also inputed correctly. The ground is also secured firmly. No …

So when trying to calculate your voltage, do you use ur ideal ohm load or the actual ohm load measured with a dmm? also say your amp does 1500 watts @ 1ohm, will it still be putting out that much or close to after impedance rises (say to 1.4ohm)?

i was reading the tutorial and i see where i did a few things wrong, mainly setting the gain where i usually listen to my music n stuff. what i wanna ask is as far as using the test tone to set it i NEVER play cd's in my radio i always use my mp3 player via aux port. it plays WAY louder then my cd's do so should i set it that way or only do it by cd? next as far as setting up the bass boost before setting the gain i see it says use the center of 45hz( thats the center on my amp) do i use a 45 hz test tone too or still use the 50? also WTF do i set "Q" at?

My amplifier keeps getting EXTREMELY HOT and going into protection mode after 30-45 minutes of listening to music. I bought a 4.4 Farad capacitor to help fix the problem but it keeps happening.. Any suggestions? I have a Acura RSX 2003 with 4 Pioneer TS-A1604C 6.5 Speakers, Boss PH4.600 Phantom 2400 Watt Mosfet 4-Channel Bridgeable Amplifier, and a 4.4 Farad Capacitor. I am very sure I installed everything correctly because it sounds very good but after 30-45 minutes It goes into protection mode. Also, I forgot to mention I have a radio JVC KDX50BT which has a integrated parametric. That is why I didn't have to buy a separate one. I don't know if this is of any importan…

Looking at alot of the unsolved FixYa problems - I can see alot of "My amplifier is going into protect mode - How do I fix it?" There is no catch all or simple answer. Troubleshooting steps must be taken to determine what is causing the problem. It is one of 3 things.... 1. Impedence under rated value or Thermal Protection. 2. Short to ground in wiring. 3. Internal Component Failure. One of the more confusing things with a car stereo can be when the amplifier goes into protection mode. One minute it's working and the next minute it's not. Here's a brief troubleshooting method that will hopefully help you if your amplifiers ever go into protection. 1. Try to determine the …

Im also running it at 0.5 ohm. Im thinking its blown but im not sure. BTW it can handle 0.5 ohm no problem.....

  20. Audioque is already aware of this so while i wait for shipping delays, i wanna know if u guys can think of how this happened before i have to wait a week before they tell me. I have 2 AQ2200ds strapped together. The power light was always on on both amps so no reverse wiring there. They never went into protect. Voltage sitting at 13.5v Gain half way, subsonic all the way down, lpf at 110hz. Preout voltage 4v, preout maxed out on head unit, Sub output is turned on, bass is on +3 boosted at 80hz. I was on the phone with AW and everything was verified that everything was hooked up 100%. Even the resistance on the terminals read 1.4ohms so everything was perfect. Turned on th…

I had a Memphis 16-PR1.500.1 given to me a few days ago.I was told it was cutting in and out,so I hooked it up 4 days ago.The first 2 days no issues, went out yesterday started my car no output from the amp.I pop the trunk amp is on fan running, not in protect then out of nowhere it starts playing.May play two days may play 5 minutes, then it stops again,so I hit it with my hand it instantly goes back to playing! So I'm thinking something has gotten loose on the internals somewhere. Was curious as to what some of you thought about it.

  22. I have a Autotek MM1400.1D and Autotek MM75.4 in my truck. I leave my truck parked for a few days at a time at school. The 1400 goes into protect mode when I turn my truck on after its been sitting for a few days (I leave the radio on all the time), but when I turn my radio off then on again everything is okay. I can turn the truck off and on after the amplifier is off of protect, and it turns on like normal. What could be the cause of this?

Amplifier: Rockford Fosgate T-1000bd Recently whenever I turn on my amplifier, regardless of the vehicle running or any input signal from he head unit, just subwoofer on solely, my subwoofer proceeds to violently shit itself. The noise is absolutely terrible. It's just a one pitch note (pitch varies) and is always extremely loud. This has actually been going on for a while. The noise will happen very sporadically and for different lengths of time. I can go a week without the amplifier doing this or I can go one solid month with the noise every time I turn on the amp, no break. It will also go away for months at a time and then come back with a vengeance. I've figured out…
