Just ordered the alpine and i know i can not use video with my iphone 5 like an older iphone but i had an idea tho im not sure if it will work. What if i get the lighning digital av adapter from apple (HDMI for mirroring onto your tv) and then I get a HDMI to RCA adaptor and hook that up to the video in, sounds like it would work what do you guys think.

I'm in a quandary. I need to make a quick decision on amp. Equipment I have is 220 amp alt, big three done, two hc 2400. Subs are two fi ssd dual 2, box tuned to 45 Hz. I plan on competing in s3 and trying to decide which amp to get before pre-order ends. Would you go with the saz-2500 or the saz-3500. All info and suggestions appreciative.

ok im currently running sum cheap o wiring and id like to know what is the best route to upgrade it im running a 130 amp alt upped from a 60 amp. Big 3 is done with some good 4ga scraps i rounded up at the shop with copper ring terminals crimped on. I am running a RE audio dts 1500.1 amp battery is unfortunately stock till i go pick up my yellow top this sunday. Should i just get a quality O.F.C. amp wiring kit? Should I just order some welding lead and build my own? If I do either of these do i need to get 4ga or thicker like 2 or 0ga? Ok so when its warm out my amp turns on just fine... Now that its been cold out my amp doesnt turn on.. No prot. Light. No lights at all.. The HU remote wire is reading less than 1 volt... I hooked up the remote wire to the red wire on the cd player... The amp turned on but it was making weird noises when I turned the car off.... Is the remote wire on the HU goin out?

Hey anybody out there running one of these i had the DTS-1000.1 and it beat hard probably too much for my cvr 12 (rated at 400 rms) i had it ran peralel at 2 ohms since it was a dual 4 sub supposedly the amp was puttin out 560 @ 2 ohms. this i had to RMA the 1000.1 because it rattled and got back a 1500.1 becuz of the price drop since i origonally boutght the 100 in sept of this year id like to know from anybody running one of these thanks >>.....D sorry about the double post my interweb died lol

I'm swapping out my clarion 785usb for a nexus 7 tablet (source) with a pair of 2x4 mini dsp for processing. This set up is a 3way + sub. What i would like to do is set the tablet volume to max and then run a volume control potentiometer to control the master volume out of the source (tablet). Additionally, i would like to control the subwoofer level semi-independently. What i mean is that the master volume would control all the channel (including the subwoofer) but a secondary volume control will be used between the minidsp and subwoofer amplifier. I set my sub amp gains with my hu eq flat. It sounds ok, but I seem to be wanting a little more. Is it bad or potentially harmful to tune the eq on my head unit with the amp gains set as is, or is it wise to reset the gains after messing with the eq? I learned my lesson the hard way about bass boost by frying my last sub. My sub and amp are matched as far as RMS goes, so I dont want to take any chances and risk damaging my sub. Advice? And how reliable/accurate is the clipping light on an amp sub remote?

My amp blew today:( so now i'm in the market for a new amp asap! I figured i'm just going to re do all the electrical because i was just using two o reilly batterys (not the best idea, i know) I'm running the 2 sa15s still in my Jimmy. I'm thinking I might run 2 xs power d1200's (unless you guys have other suggestions) I'm not really positive on my battery budget until I get the amp bought. Okay, my buddy just received his fi bl 18's. he has 2 of them running off an audiopipe 3000. They are both D1 ohm. Would i wire them in a series for them to be running @ 1 ohm from the amp or would i wire them parallel. AND after i figure that out how would i wire them in series and how would i wire them in parallel.

Hey guys i have a question about using a second battery. i have a 95 Caddi stock alt. iterstate battery up front. i have done the BIG 3 using 4ga. The amps im running are the R/F P-400.4 at 4ohm each chanel and the R/F T500.1bdcp at 2ohm on two 4ohm svc 12" Dcons. i have been looking at the XS battery's. As the title states, I've got one of these HU's coming. It's BNIB, never used, never opened. It wasn't really a planned purchase, the seller posted it up on EBAY and when I threw in my max bid it was at $32. After a few other bids went on it It came to $104.50 and that's what I won it at! I just bought a couple of SA E10's with Dual 4ohm coils and they will be going in a sealed enclosure. What class D amp would you recommend for around $100? I prefer this route so there are no electrical issues with my son's older car. I also have the option of running some old school amps (Lanzar Opti 100-1ohm stable, Lanzar Plus 100-1/2 ohm stable, Lanzar 240-2 ohm stable) I don't like the idea of using my old amps because I don't want them stolen as they are not easily replaceable. So I just placed an order for the new Crescendo Mezzo components and I was wondering how to wire them up once I receive them. I have a 2 channel Kicker ZR1000 (I got it for $30 and it works perfect ) that I will use to power them. The only problem is that I'm not sure what to put the crossover module at. The options are bypass, lowpass and hipass. I used the hipass for the coaxials, but I'm not sure if that would be used for the components, since it has the crossover box. Also, I'm going to keep my stock head unit. I have 2 Crescendo BC2ks (strapped) and the kicker ZR1000. What should I use to connect the RCAs up to?
