Okay s i just got out of the sub thread and decided to go with a single maw-15 setup in my G6. Currently Im using an Orion 600D On two maw-15's which is horrible because i believe they are only getting abot 175/200 watts to each sub. if that. So Im looking for a mono-block amp that will give my maw-15 around 500-600 watts continuous. It's been broken in so I'm sure i can push it to 600 watts. thanks in advance ~MadroX

Hey everyone! im new to the forum, but i decided since i purchased my amp from ssa that this would be the forum id make my account on. ive got a sundown saz-1000d pushing 2 alpine type r 10"s at 1ohm along with a 3.5 farad cap. in a 1993 ford tempo I got bored one day and decided to do the big 3 upgrade with some JL 4 awg i had lying around in my room. for some reason i feel unsure about the wire i have going from the engine to the chassis, and was wondering if it'd be ok running a wire from the alternator cage to the chassis instead? if doing this is it still ok to leave the stock engine to chassis wire? is this even possible? or will i just run into electrical problems…

Well, I have been watcking egay for another 275 board, I have been seeing them quite often but never had the money. Well guess what, found another. so as it is stated i have light dimming. i recently well a few hours ago installed a newish alternator for my 2000 toyota camry the alternator is from a totaled/damaged 2003 toyota highlander which is 130amps rather then the stop 80 amp alternator that came with the camry. so car i did the "big 2 upgrade" which consists of batt + to alt +', batt - to strut tower and the new alternator when i turn the up to where i normally put it with the old one well 5 notchs up the lights dim but if im calculations are correct the newish alt should have enough power to power the subs and the rest of the car no problem. but that is not that case. since the amp gain is less the half way …

When connecting the batt under the hood to the batt in the back does a fuse need to be used in the power wire or can you just connect front batt to the rear batt?

hey firstly im new here so hello everyone as the title states i have a problem firstly my set up 0guage from batt to 80a fuse to 10a fuse to head unit and a 2guage to a distro block powering 3 amps (through 4 guage wire) 1 4 channel and 2 2 channels then 4 guage to another distro then 2guage to a hole that used to house a clip for the trim in the side of the boot (metal is thin, maybe this is the problem?). the remote from the HU goes into a 2 channel then piggybacks from there to the other 2 amps. I have ordered 2 Fi BL 12's Dual 2 ohm coils, with the Pchamfer, Flatwind, and daily option. The box is being built this week. I'm deciding on an amp to power them. Currently I have a Kenwood 9152D (supposed to be 900 RMS @ 2 ohms and 900 RMS @ 1 Ohm) So I thought perhaps getting another 9152 and strapping them together but that would under power the subs cause I know i'm not hitting 14.4 volts The 3 amps I've narrowed my interest to are Kicker ZX2500.1 (2500 RMS @ 2 ohms) supposed to be underrated MTX TA92001 (2000 RMS @ 2 ohms, 3000 RMS @ 1 ohm) dunno if this one is underrated? I am starting to debate what amp I should go with, Rockford Fosgate t40001bd, Autotek MM4000, or IA40.1. I have a JVC Kw-NX7000 in my 05 Camry. I recently bought a jvc ks bta-200 bluetooth adapter. It works great but now I'm getting interference when I listen to radio, mostly AM. the bluetooth unit is in the glove box and I have the mic mounted on the steering column. What can I do to shield the car's antenna wire from interference?

so I just got the eclipse AVN 6620 installed and I have one major problem, WHITE NOISE!! The deck emits a constant white noise no matter what the volume. Its not volume influenced. I can have the volume on 0 or 80 and its still the same constant white noise. Me and my installer have tried everything from changing the grounds, rca's, ect... The only thing that stops it is unplugging the rca's from the headunit. Any ideas to stop this??? Is it a bad unit you think??? please help! thanks Eddie

I installed an Avital Avistart 4400 today and I'm having a simple problem. I am just using the alarm features, so I did not hook up anything for remote start. Upon testing the unit, when I ope the door, it activates and the display on the remote shows door intrusion. I cannot get this to stop even after disarming the system. Do I have to have the remote start hooked up so it will read an ignition cycle and reset the alarm so my LED stops blinking and remote shows normal status? Thanks in advance.

im doin a classic car, and was thinking of mounting the amp in the front of the car.. under the dash hangin upside down (ofcourse on a well attached base) not trying to save money on wiriing or anything, just wouldnt mind having it up front, and i have hydraulics in the trunk so in case there is ever an oil leak i wont have to worry about it.. also, would it get too hot under a seat? any disadvantage to running longer speaker wire? i wouldnt think so.. and what gauge speaker wire is best for say a 12 ft run? sundown 1000 is the amp btw....

I'm currently in the process of redoing my sound stage. I'm going to replace my Alpine, the front Kickers with either Focal or Rainbow components (rear fill will stay Kicker 6x9s), and most likely 2 Mach 5 15's on a Sundown SAE-1000D. I figured an in-dash T.V. head unit would help pull the chicks , not to mention I could put my XBox in my car http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1168044601606 It seems like a good in-dash video head unit, and the store near me has it for $400, hence why I'm thinking of getting it. Does anybody have any experience with these?

Are there really any half decent HU's these days? Originally I was gonna go with a Kenwood eXcelon KVT-696. But I don't need a DVD player. I would have had this system done by now but I lost my job back in Jan and just found one.
