I'm getting 2 12" kicker L7s wired to 1 ohm. I have an amp just sitting around and its a planet audio ac2500.1m. I'm thinking I will run the subs at 4 ohm. Any suggestions? I really don't have money to get a 1 ohm amp at this time. thanks guys

guys i was wondering about a system that has say 10 amps & a couple of processors if the remote wire voltage from a typical deck will be sufficient or safe to turn on all of these or will a relay be needed to help boost the turn out voltage ? what is usually the voltage out from a deck ? what voltage is required for amps or processors to turn on ?

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this. Im sure this is a very basic and easy process but have never done it before. I am wanting to run a battery to my amp and need to know the best way to do it. I have seen people with a battery in their car connected to their amp; would you do this rather than running your amp off of your cars main battery? or is what im seeing more like an extra power source? Answers are greatly appriciated ! Thanks.

I went to reinstall my 1500d, but after only glancing at what side the power and ground are on I mixed them up. Ive heard the 1500d has internal fuses, but after seeing the protect light I took it out and didnt see any fuses on the inside. Am I out of luck and blew my amp? I tried switching the wires to the correct sides, but I dont get a light period that way.

This may be a stupid question but this amp is a month old and i noticed the other day when i hooked up my new sa-10s that i had music coming through my subs. My lpf was at 120ish so i dialed it back to 80. Should there be music coming through at 120? especially on a mono amp? IM worried somthing is wrong with the amp as i have never noticed that before on my other amp which is exactly the same only from different vendor.

I think my remote wire port is going out on my amp. Is this an easy fix? I have it rigged right now with a switch but would like to actually get it fixed. I need help guys

hello all been awhile .. i have a question about alts i have 3 alts 2 for system the other powers the van. its a mecury/toyota van. yes mecury /toyota they called it mercury villager but made by toyota. im using chevy small case alts..they charge fine i only use the one wire off of them the sence wire. i dont use the dummy light wire.. now i was told that buy doing this alt.it would not draw power with sence wire connected to audio batterys . ive had many people argue the fact it does not draw power.. ook well this eve i was standing by my van and could here a slight wine.. i opened hood and related it to the alt sound was clearly from alt . second the alt is warm just s…

I have been frustrated trying to track down the background noise on my headunit. Here is what I have: Headunit - Pioneer 9400bh Amp 1 - Kenwood 150.2 Amp 2 - Kicker 500.1 #1 The pioneer when playing a 0 bit track has pink noise from usb and cd. Kenwood amp is powering my front stage and the pioneer is for the back. Fader front and rear both produce the noise with and without both rcas. #2 So I reattached the original headunit and there is no noise with the 0 bit track cd. It is hooked up to just the rear speakers. I have changed the grounds on both amps, changed the ground on the headunit, done the pico fuse fix (wire wrap). I am at my wits end, please tell me if buying…

Hey guys... I'm about to do the big 3 in my pontaic g8 and the batter is in the truck.. The alt positive is no problem but I'm trying to work out the engine block ground..... What are my options without putting the wire under the car..... Can I ground the block to the chassis and double up on the chassis grounding points near the battery?

I've decided that I need to address the stock 12 speaker Sony system in my 2010 Fusion Sport. I can't believe that in a top of the line package you are only allotted options to change "treble & bass". I honestly got better sound in my 99 Ranger with a $50 component set and a pair of 6" mids, with a 5 year old Pioneer HU's eq. So I finished installing my 2 12" GCONS/Kicker ZX1000.1/LC2i/DC-Creations Sealed Enclosure into my 2012 GLI and I have a couple of questions for some of you more experienced guys. My car had a factory subwoofer (fender audio system) so I tapped into the subwoofer speaker wires for the line-out signal. The low frequency bass sounds GREAT but the higher frequencies are weak, almost like they're dropping off. Since the factory subwoofer was hitting all these higher bass notes before I disconnected it, the factory head unit/amp MUST be sending the full range signal back to the input of the LC2i, no? Im looking to wire two audiopipe AP.1500's strapped at 4ohms to my f2f Fi bl12 so that each amp sees 2ohms untill I get my second sub. I can't find a diagram that explains it though. I understand how to bridge the rca's but I don't get how to wire the sub. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks
