I wanted to take a bit of your time if you dont mind cause i need some help. The only difference is your making about 19,000 more watts compared to what i have LOL sad to say im having voltage drop, sub bass cuttin off when im at idle and when driving at night it tends to cut off when im bumpin it decently loud. I have a 2001 blazer with the oem alternator 1 optima redtop battery and the big 3 upgrade using 1/0 oxygen free tsunami compotition power cable. The problom im having is that when I have the car with the engine on and I play music decently loud I notice that the voltage drops to about 12 volts. I was hoping you guys could help me out. So here is my setup in the back of my crew cab: You can follow the blue 4ga OFC and see the power inputs for the amp. My question is in regards to the ground. Right now the 100.4 (on the left) is grounded to the bolt you can see through the carpet almost under that amp. The 1000D is not hooked up yet, but I don't really think a run of 4ga to that same bolt is a good enough ground. Do you guys agree? I was originally planning to put a bolt through the floor right under the 1000D and ground both there, but the fuel tank is directly below that amp. I have 4ga OFC as well as some spare 1/0 CCA. ok so i finally get my SeXXX in the mail, haha so i got me alil box ready so i hook it up, want to hear it better so i take a drive and crank it up a bit, as i'm increasing the power click, it cuts off, so i go check it out and all 3 fuses are blown...so i check my connections it's all good, i go back to my amp open it up, and the piece that holds the fuses in parallel i believe one of the pieces was off so it was all running through one piece instead of being regulated between 2 pieces... I paid 120 bux for the car audio people to fix this and now what it breaks a month later, and i haven'ty even had any subs to play it with for a while anyways...i would go back up ther…

what does everything think of these? i had the 1500 watt version early in the year running 4 ohm on an old school eclipse 12, never ran hot, had no issues with it and i loved the small size of it but people either love it or hate it. i only ask because audiopipe came out with a new 2000 watt model and it looks promising as does most AP products due to cost/watt ratio. looking to actually compete this next year in street stock and street trunk. I'm working with a budget of about $400 for an amp. If you follow my build log you'll see I'm gonna be running an aq 2200 to an 18 btl at 1 ohm. My car has a 135 amp alt but I'm pretty sure ill need some batts. I have room for 2 large batteries but I'm unsure of what kind. Would 2 of the everstart maxx batts from walmart work? Or do I have to use a deep cycle battery? Also do I have to replace my batt under the hood? Also do I have to match my batteries in the trunk with my main battery? Big 3 will be done all wire will be 1/0 also. ok ok so my very 1st amp was an alpine 1507 yea hot shit right, but i neva got to hook it up cuz my bro sold it, cuz i neva paid him back... but the guy he sold it to is selling it again.. and ha i'm buying it back for get this 80$ and the amp dam near cost 300$ soooooo, now i got a jbl 1200 and an alpine 1507.. for those that dont know thats 1200 watts+ about 1500 watts totalling at about 2800watts RMS but i only have one sub, and i need a new alt now that can pull about 300amps...

I've been looking for a big 5000 or 6000 watt amp kit. Do they even sell any kits like that, or do I need to buy all the wires and cables ect. separate? I'm running an Atomic AT-5000.1D I'm looking to buy one of the best amp kits to run with this amp. Basically because, I paid all this money for this amp so I don't want to get a cheap amp kit. Hi all, I will be using the Alpine Imprint Module with my Alpine iDA-x305S. My Question is, will I have to use the disc and mic tuning kit (KTX-H100) for tuning or when I plug the unit in; will it unlock all the tuning features of the imprint and I can tune it manually? because that's what I would prefer.. thanks.

I am doing some minor repairs to a Kicker ZR-1000 that I picked up cheap. Does anybody know if it is possible to jump across the docking port and run it full range just to check it out or is there some sort of circut on those modules necessary for for the amp to operate? It seems simple enough, but I'm guessing this may not be possible. I know the owners manual says not to even power it up without a module.

I've decided that I need to address the stock 12 speaker Sony system in my 2010 Fusion Sport. I can't believe that in a top of the line package you are only allotted options to change "treble & bass". I honestly got better sound in my 99 Ranger with a $50 component set and a pair of 6" mids, with a 5 year old Pioneer HU's eq. That being said, I DO use and have decided to retain Sync & Steering wheel controls. The only alterations I have in mind (for now) are signal processing. I have all green led lights in my truck and i know that a lot of companys make amps with blue lighted logos but i want a green lighted logo. I need an amp that is 600 rms at 4 ohms. For my FI x12. Or if any one knows of one thats closer to 1000rms at 4 ohms but still cheap that would be great. I know my budget is really low but its about 150... Thanks for any help

Well I don't know if I'm growing up, or just really wanting some better sound, but I'm really wanting a nice sq front stage. Unfortunately I can only adjust the placement of the speakers in the door panels for now, but maybe down the road I'll be able to do some more custom fabrication. This is an 01 tahoe if it makes a difference btw. I am running a set of realm audio 6.5 components off an eclipse ea4000 as my front stage at the moment. Ok so i have a brz2400 that is rated to do 2400rms at 1 ohm. my question is about the fusing of the amp, it has no internal fuses, jus the one under the hood for the power wire. so with that said, would it be required to externally fuse the amp? and how would i go about doing this? what would be the correct size fuses? how many? where to put them? etc........ also what would be a good fuse to put under the hood for the amp power cable? there is a 150 in the holder right now and it is zero gauge cable, is that good enough? if not, what would be a recommended size for that with my amp? i am building my system for 2 12 xcons in my tc and i want to do it right the first ti…

I had a Memphis 16-PR1.500.1 given to me a few days ago.I was told it was cutting in and out,so I hooked it up 4 days ago.The first 2 days no issues,went out yesterday started my car no output from the amp.I pop the trunk amp is on fan running,not in protect then out of nowhere it starts playing.May play two days may play 5 minutes,then it stops again,so I hit it with my hand it instantly goes back to playing! So I'm thinking something has gotten loose on the internals somewhere.Was curious as to what some of you thought about it.

I have a tc-loc2 hooked up to a hifonics brx1100.d running at 2 ohms to a re sex v2 12" in a 2 cu ft 32hz box. The amp is rated at 800 rms at 2 ohms and and the sub is rated at 750 rms. I have the gains on the LOC all the way up and the gains on the amp at about 6/8ths, now that is partly because I set the gains with the remote at 50%. Anyways is it alright if the amp gains are maxed out because if I turn the loc gains down I will probably have to. thanks

ive made posts before about a kicker 2500.1, mtx ta92001 and hifonics xxv amps, but im not sold on them.For a while ive been trying to put together a setup and i think i got it. probably going to go with 2 15" BLs. And ive seen an american bass VFL 200.1 rated 3000 watts @13.8 volts, so I was like sweet, and i would like to know how much this amp runs for (price).and ill have all new electrical to back this amp up. I have been looking at 2 DIN head units on and off for a few months now. I will be using a external processor so on board processing is of no concern to me. My budget is flexible but I couldn't see spending over $600ish for a HU with the features I need. Well, I got a new car yesterday and I am in the process of making the exhaust more quiet, but I am trying to figure out what I should get system-wise, as I have pretty much been out of the loop for a year or so. The system is going in a 2002 Trans Am WS.6 (cammed, full exhaust, 12 bolt rear, a few suspension mods, etc.) HU: I am looking at the Pioneer DEH-P880PRS with the iPod adapter for my iPod. I will also record by video. So on this next run I plan on running my amps not strapped. I know how to gain set with a DMM. Xovers I typically do by ear. My plan of attack is to DD-1 both amps, check output voltage of both amps and match to the one with less output. Now I'm not worried about setting the LPF on the amps since I can do that via the HU. My only area of concern is the SSF. I'm a little fuzzy on gain matching with the SSF. Do you play your selected tone of choice (lets use 30hz in this example) continue to turn the filter up until you see a dip in output voltage? Then repeat on the second amp. Hey I wanted to know if I could get some help for a friend. His car is a 98 Toyota Avalon and he recently bought a 250amp mechman alternator. I was re wiring some amps back up in my jeep today and everything was working fine, including the headunit. I took it out to change the remote wire and put it back in, only to find out it won't turn on at all, completely blank display. I have a Pioneer DEH-1200mp, relatively new. No blown fuses, not under the dash, not on the back of the headunit, nor under the hood. I didn't smell any burnt smell from the headunit.... I really don't see how it could have fried either.
