I have a DC power H.O. alt and big 3 done with a kinetik hc1400 up front and a hc600 right next to amp with 4 awg connecting to my SAX-1200d and yeah my voltage is fine MOST of the time but it seems like on CERTAIN random songs with a perfect note my voltage still gets awfully close to 12v occasionally.. HOW many batts you guys running and on how many watts rms you pushin? Since Im thinking about upgrading to an Xcon 18 > over my current 18 ssd, I will most likely be upgrading my amp to a 2000rms amp or something close to 2k like AQ/AP/Hifonics and Im wondering if adding a battery or 3 will help make a difference because Im NOT upgrading alts again.... 1200rms seems w…

My sister is looking to add a sub and amp to her 07 charger. She came to me and I showed her a few things. Prices are too high. I'm trying to get her into a single 12" ia lethal injection or fi Q possibly icon. So we're looking at around 1000 watts rms. showed her the sundown 1000.. Too much ($289). What do you guys recommend in the $150 or so range for an amp? Is something of fair quality able to be had new for this price or is used the route I'm going to need to take? guys i was wondering about a system that has say 10 amps & a couple of processors if the remote wire voltage from a typical deck will be sufficient or safe to turn on all of these or will a relay be needed to help boost the turn out voltage ? what is usually the voltage out from a deck ? what voltage is required for amps or processors to turn on ?

hey everyone. im planning on buying one 12" BTL within the next 2 weeks along with a Crunch GP3000D-PRO and running it at 1ohm load. going to be putting them in my 2000 honda crv ex when i get back to the states from iraq here. i was wondering if there is going to be any need for me to upgrade my electrical system/add a battery or any other electrical things i will need to do? if yes, can you please list them for me because i simply have no idea. i do not know how much the alternator is putting out now either. i have tried researching and cannot find the stock one anywhere. any help would be appreciated thanks

i was playing around with my headunit(pioneer 860mp) and switched some things that made it hit the hardest of ever!!! but i took my magnum out and looked at the coil and it looked brand new un harmed!!!(even with me turning the gain a little higher than the head units voltage) i have a bx1500d i think that i want to step up to a bx1800d or an audiobahn 1800dt will i notice it? audiobahn vs hifonics amp wise or is tunsumi a good amp?

well first i have a 1200 watts concept amp. i have a 2 gauge wiring to run but i am afried that it is too large for the entrence of the amp? would 4 gauge be enough? or just try my best to get the 2 gauge in?

Few days ago i went to pick up my suv from my aunts house since ive had it there stored for few months. On my way back i notice my “RE XXX” tweeters stopped playing, so i thought for some reason they got damaged not knowing why when they were playing fine before vehicle being stored. I removed them and tested them just incase a wire was pinched and they didn’t play so I tossed them. I was thinking... Deep cycles (ie. Yellow Top) are meant to discharge quite a bit over a long period of time, but starting batteries (ie. Red Top) are meant to discharge large amounts of current over a short period of time, like the starter. Now for our application, car audio, unless playing with the engine off for extended periods of time, wouldn't starting batteries be better? Music is quite dynamic, and as such, starting batteries would be better able to provide the bursts of current. Now I understand that purpose built batteries such as Kinetiks and Powermasters probably have high current in mind, but when using other batteries like Optimas, would a Red Top work bet…

Hey guys, I recently got my 1/0 gauge wire in the mail the other day, I am prepping it up with the clamps and getting the right sizes, and I look on the website and I see that I need a fused wire. I looked at the big 3 post and it says I should get the factory sized fuse. Can I get some pictures or some detailed information about the setup involved into this? I looked into the Big 3 post and nothing is explained into detail.....Only what it is. Any information would greatly help. Thanks, -Curt

I've always been a fan of getting an Alpine H701 with a W505, but I am scared that with the H701 being discontinued I may never find one. So I'd like to find some more options for what is available and capable of 3-way processing. Also would be nice to have a collaborative list here for those to reference to.

I've narrowed my choice down to these choices. Mechman 270 DC Power 270 XP I was wondering if the extra 35-40 amps at idle is worth the extra $150. I'm only running one AQ2200D, and I don't have an endless pile of money. I'm almost certain what the responses will be, so I think I'm leaning towards the Mechman. Let me know!

I am currently running an alpine 7995, at this point it is the cleanest deck I have ever heard. Has anyone heard one of the new Panasonics with 106 db S/N and 5V preouts, or does anyone have any other decks they would recommend?

I bought my Alpine CDE 9881 from a pawn shop for 50 bucks back when I had my old car and I recently got a nissan maxima. One thing I rly hate, this headunit has no aux in front or USB and most important, it doesnt work with a steering wheel adaptor. I have had a few people offer me $65 for it (is that a decent price?) and I think I might sell it and get something a little better. I know crutchfield is usually over priced but their headunits seems fairly priced, especially since they give you all the install stuff and save me around 30 bucks. I'm not going to do much with this headunit, just listen to music on my ipod. Idk how to tune, etc. I'm also running a passive setup…

Hi Guys, Are the Audioque amps ( 2200, 3500 ) good amps or not ? I what thinking maybe someone out there has tested one the website numbers look good.

throw out some budget amps thatll do around 2500w rms @ 1 ohm daily, will run @ .5 or whatever if its stable daily...its for my 15" mts...i have 4. i know the power acoustik a3000db is rated at 2300w and doesnt even do that, but i heard they are .7 ohm stable daily, does anyone know what these amps are capable of? hifonics? help!

I thought I would post this here since replies elsewhere were slim. I've seen a couple of US Acoustic amps around at a reasonable price and was wondering what people thought about these amps. I know Zed made the first batch of the USX line and them US Acoustics took the plans and had them made in Korea (Pretty chitty if you ask me). I've google this line and people seenm to be happy with them (quality and build), but I thought I would ask around here since it seems that people have a better perspective on the car audio world on this forum. I am putting one in my dash and have been looking at dei and sony. Can't find many companies that make a plain monitor w/o all the buttons on them. Eclipse has a nice one but not shipping till may or june and clarion's are nice but has buttons on them. I was looking at farenheit but I heard they are not good quality and customer service in near zero, and this was from one of their dealers.
