I have just finished receiving my impedance curve measurements for my setup design between 20hz-80hz. Here shortly, the graph will be posted here and in a few hrs, me and a buddy are gonna take a trip to an isolated area where we will be measuring output and efficiency and comparing those numbers with the SAZ1500D as i've always wanted to know if the AQ outperforms the Sundown since it's rated to do more power but only at a higher voltage. As of right now, - Impedance curve ranges from 1.76 ohms to 21.6 ohms. DCR is 0.7 ohms So... i will NOT have any measurements below 1.76 ohms and depending on heat buildup, i'm still hoping to pull some numbers out of the AQ below 2.0 o…

Hello all, Would you mind giving wiring advice for my Pontiac G6? Here is what I currently have: 1 yellow top in engine bay, no rear battery yet. Big 3 done with knuconcept 1/0 1 run of power wire to trunk I am grounding off frame in trunk, but when I tested the impedance I got a low # (don't remember exact #) Standard alt I will be running 2 Xcons 12s D1, with most likely a BC3500. I have a BC2000 for now. These will be trunk mounted with fold down seats. I will be buying a amp for the component speakers, not sure what yet? I ordered a ssd15 and it should be coming in in about a week. What amp should i choose? I have been looking at the soundstream rubicon 1600d, the powerbass xax1200d, and the lanzar opti1400d. These are all on amazon for under $230 with shipping. Its weird how the least powerful is the most expencive and the most powerfull is the least expencive. But something about the lanzar has been grabbing my attention. If there are any other amplifiers in this like class and price range could you help me out and give a reccomendation?

I need help running the power wires and the RCA wires through my Buick. I've done other cars but in my Buick everything seems sealed off really well. First where would be the best location to run the power wire through the firewall. Second how would I run the RCA and remote wire behind the head unit. Behind the head unit seems sealed off.

I'm looking for an aftermarket processor for my factory system. I've been looking at the JL Clean sweep, MTX Bass ResQ, RF 360.2, and finally the AudioControl. I need a Processor that can handle possibly active set up, 2-4 Channels for mids and highs and lastly a subwoofer output. I like the Clean sweep and 360.2 so i can get a good feel for automatically Eqing ( I know it's not the best but it's a start ). The car is a 2011 Ford mustang With factory everything and stock system. This seems like such a simple question, but I can't find the answer. What are the advantages and disadvantages between two different amps that put out the same out of power but at different resistances? Mainly looking for answers on a more technical level, like which will put less strain on my electrical system or which is thermally/mechanically better for the subwoofer. I have a Fi SSD 10, D2 and copper coil, and I'm looking for a 1000w amp to power it.

anyone ever had experience with hifonics? i've heard a lot of trash talking and underrating, but still even if it's underrated, it would be only pushing around 1000 or so... that's still a good deal for only 180$ but if these amps just absolutely suck, is there any amp someone could suggest in the 250$ range that would produce about 1000 watts rms? thanks a lot

I am going to be running a Pioneer 80prs with front and rear RCA output for my front stage. I am going to have two amplifiers for my front stage. How do I go about my lack of RCA signal ? I'm insatalling a entire system in my 2000 honda accord. I have the following components so far: Jl audio 300/4 sundown saz-1500d 2 jl audio 12w6v2d4's focal 165 v2's mb quart psc216 The only thing i need now is a head unit. I really want the avh-p4300dvd but i don't need a dvd player and i'm worried the car may get broken into for the headunit as it's not detachable. I could tint the windows but that's adding to the cost. I would be willing to get a single din unit but i don't see any nice ones out there. Now I've pretty much maxed out the weight in batteries I feel comfortable putting in the 300 considering this is my daily rig atm. I've never run this crazy of an amount of power before so do you guys think I can get away with 2 340 amp alternators, and 5 group 31 agm batteries? With the leviathan and the 2 12ks that should be around 1800amps at 13.8v. Obviously I won't get 14.7 with no drop, but I just don't want to be dropping into the 11s. As long as I'm at 12.0 and up I feel safe. Since you guys have ran that much power and know that electrical isn't completely black and white, you guys should have a general idea. I have currently a 250 amp fuse on my wire from alt to battery, would upgrading to a 300 amp fuse help or hurt in anyway? Does a bigger fuse give me more amp current to the battery (off a 180 amp alt)?

So I have a Alpine ute52bt that is cutting out whwn I turn it up. I first thought it was a connection So it was checked. Tried to move the ground from factory to bear metal to battery and it still cuts out once I start to turn up the volume. do you guys have any other ideas? Sorry for the short post. My set up is the deck listed. A pair of i65c and a pair of infinitys in the rear. Nothing follows.

chit fudge chit driving home from school today, music playing next thing i know my truck starts randomly slowing down and my ABS light is blinking. THen i see my voltage meter is droping lower than usualy with the beat. I turn the system off and everything is good. Turn it back on and same problem. Im pretty sure my alternator just died on me. how this relates to the ABS randomly comming on i dont know. Glad my 4 year old battery had the life in her to get me home, Hopefully it can get me to the parts store to have my battery and alternator tested. Ok, im pretty sure I have this right but I would like some confirmation to be sure. This is basically what my electrical will be.. the few things that can vary will be battery location, in the picture im going to add at the bottom I put the 2nd battery at the bottom(back).. easy to understand. the vehicle will be a Tahoe which has a 2nd battery tray.. should i use that 2nd tray or just keep it in the back close to the amps? That is one thing i wasnt 100% on, also Ill have a Kinetik HC2000 and a Kinetik HC1800 ... do i want the bigger of the 2 in the back? Also will someone look at my fusing in my picture to make sure that is correct also before i go buy all these damn fus…

I drew out a little wiring diagram(yes i know it's crappy cause it's offa ms paint) for connecting RCA jacks off the HU for my planned system. In the front, the RE XXX woofer will be run off of a 2 channel amp and the tweets will be run off of two channels of the 4 channel amp. The rear midbass(Adire Koda 6.5) will be run off of the rear channel of the 4 channel amp. Crossover duty will be done by the HU(plan to get an Eclipse) and the 4 channel amp. Does that look right? or do i need something extra?

so i got: optima yellowtop under the hood kinetik hc2400 on the back iraggi 240/165 amp alternator it was running fine for about a week since i installed it, my voltages were: 14.2@idle, 13.4v w/ engine off this morning it was running fine too so when i was leaving this afternoon, i noticed the battery gauge was pretty low i checked the voltage and it was only 12.7 while the car is idling and system is off so i turned my car off and checked the voltage, it was 12.8 so i disconnected my powerwire that runs to the back battery and the amps after about half hour driving i checked the voltage, while idle it was 12.3 when it was off it was 12.5 what do you guys think? did my …
