Im building a sealed enclosure for my 2 15" Obsidians that's gonna be about 4 Cu Ft. after displacement. I plan on using my Hifonics Zeus 2000 which has a subsonic filter on it which for my ported enclosure I set about 5 Hz under my Box tuning. There's no option to turn the Subsonic filter off so I'm wondering what exactly I should set it at when using it for a sealed enclosure. Sorry if this lacks detail I'm unsure how/what to base setting it off of so I'm not sure what else to include.

Alright, I just put a new Fi Btl 18 in my 97 dodge ram 2500. It is diesel and has a h/o alternator and duel batteries. I was using a power acustik OVN1 5500D amp. It is connected to a battery with zero gauge wire for both the positive and ground. The gain was only turned up about half way with the BTL running at 1 Ohm. I did not listen to it all that loud, however one day the bass cut out and then the amp started to smoke. I immediately shut off the radio and felt the amp. It was cool to the touch. The amp was only in for a week and had only been used maybe three times.... When I got home I turned the radio back on and the LED indicator came on but no power is coming out …

So I have a Bad Deka Intimidator which Looks brand new but won't take a charge or go any higher than aprox 4v, what could I do if anything.. OR are there any places that will fix batteries if you can lol.

Which one of these will be more powerful? I have two scv4k's going on three tridents but I have a feeling I'll need/want more power for those.

Hi Im trying to replace my factory battery with an XS Power one. The one and only battery (according to the XS website) I can upgrade to is the D4800. However, I contacted them to verify this and they told me it would be recommended to make some measurements just to verify this. I went ahead and made some approximate measurements (since I did not want to deal with removing all this wires at 11pm) The measurements I got were the following: Height: ~8" Length: ~12" Width: ~71/2 These seem to match the dimensions from the D4800. I just installed the digital knukonceptz distribution block and connected a line for the ground so the digital display can work. My question is how long should the display stay on? Its been about 15min and its still on.

Hi Guys, I just installed my front stage a few days ago and now I have a nice problem. The amp I am using for my frontstage is a Memphis 16-ST300. When I'm on the road, it happens really often that the front stage stops for a second or two and then it gets back. During this time, the sub amp which is a Memphis 16-ST1000D doesn't even stops. My setup is in my sig. I have everything set right on the amp and all the wires have solid connections, but no matter what I put the gain at and what volume I listen at, the amp will go into protect sometimes and then come out of it. I'm wired to 1 ohm @ 1000w. I don't get it. Could I have damaged my amp when the brahma blew? I had bass boost on with the brahma and didn't know it until I went and checked the levels when I hooked up the icon. I turned all that off so it's not on anymore. Any thoughts? If I forgot some info that you need, let me know.

i still got my fi bl 15" sitting in my room waiting to be installed into my 04 chevy colorado. my box is 3.9 ft^3 tuned @ 32 hz. i finally decided to go with sundown amps over rockford because i can get them cheaper. but i cant decide between the saz1500 or the sae1200. i can get the saz1500 $570 and the sae1200 for $350. i talked to jacob (sundown audio owner) and he said that the saz1500 is actually 1800 at 1 ohm and the sae1200 is actually 1500 at 1 ohm. will the bl be able to handle the saz1500? or should i just stick with the sae1200...plus its cheaper . im actually leaning towards the saz1500 but im afraid that it will be too much for my bl since im gonna be playin…

I'm curious as to what difference I should except to see switching amps. Currently I have some shitty old soundstream amp, MAYBE giving my SSD 18" 300w. I'm not even sure on that. I'm going to be switching it out for a SAE-1000d. What kind of output difference should I be expecting ? I'm sure overall sound quality will be better, as my current amp is garbage.... But will there be more SPL ? That's what I'm curious about.

Alrighty! So after installing a cd player in my girlfriend's car some of the dash lights dont turn on. The door open, brights, blinker, etc. (square lights for some warning or another) all work, but not the lights that light up the speedo, tach, or temp. gauge. I had the - terminal disconnected while doing all this wiring, BUT i may have effed up when i tied two wires into one. Reason for doing that was the wiring diagram i was looking at said that they both were for illumination, so i figured they both needed to be plugged in to the CD player's illumination light. Ive had a sundown sae 1200 v2 for going on 4 years now. Its been ran in two systems/cars both at 1 ohm. I installed it those two times set it and left it(set it differently). Been going strong until today. My car is a Buick lesabre with a stock 130a alt. My battery is under backseat and power n ground are ran from battery to amp; literally 2-3 ft long runs. My voltage has always been decent; mid 13s is about the lowest I see on hard drops. Today on my way home from work beating all the way here; 15-20 minutes. So i want to upgrade. But not immediately. like. May not upgrade for a whiiile. But have chance to get a bigger amp. so total hypothetical. I currently have an AQ1200 in my truck with full 4 gauge wires off stock alt and batt. could I, run an 2k amp off of this set up. Never goin over like, probably quarter gain to half. (prollly long time before that amp would clip) 2k amp being a db drive okur 2k. I know anything above 1.5k comes with 1/0 inputs. But could i run it off of the 4 gauge til i can upgrade the rest of the set up is my basic question. Any of your guys' vast knowledge would be great!! thanks in advance!

So. my hifonics brutus bxi1208d is causing distortion, it doesn't start up instantly but as it gets going it starts to CLIP hard, the clipping light isn't going off or anything, im assuming its the heat? its about 100 degrees Fahrenheit. i have an Kinetik Hc 600, 4 gauge wire, stock alt. i get what i'd payed for right?

Just got a Fluke 87 ture rms multimeter My link I don't know if it is accurate or what but i read the owners manual and am mind boggled. how do I tell the voltage readout on this thing? It says ac voltage=2.5 but i know thats not right. any ideas?? Thanks Matt Cusack
