Looking for a good Amp to run just a pair of pioneer TS-D17020C component speakers? I don't want to spend more than $400

ive got some knu concept 1/0 guage wire and i was planning on running it up to the engine battery cuz i figured that would be one of the best grounds i could find but its about 7-10 feet away from my amp and ive been looking around and i read that really long amp grounds were a bad idea? is it true?

Just wanted a couple of suggestions of what amp i shoud put on my highs. I had a kenwood 301T on it but it blew on me so i had to take it out and now my highs sounding like str8 a**. I have two pioneer 5 1/4s, two kenwood excelon tweeters, and two eclipse 6X9s. Help a brotha out.

Ok so let me get this straight........so 1 ohm basically is the max power of the sub...but when u go to 2 ohms its cut in half because its spread out to 2 motors but overall pretty much matching the same power as the 1ohm???and 4ohms basically overall matching the same power as the others if each ohm was combined???/ Im real confused someone explain it!!!!!Also what you think is better a 2ohm BL or 1ohm..

I was planning on upgradingg my electrical by replacing my main batt. I was thinking about a batt along the lines of a d6500. Max amps are about 3900 and ah is about 80. Should my stock alt, 110 amps, be able to charge the d6500 without a problem? Im just looking for a theoretical answer. Thanks for the help

could anyone help me with what electrical upgrades i have to make to my stock mustang to run these? and if i need extra batteries in the trunk, how do i hook those up? to anyone that can help me with this, thank you.

Im building a sealed enclosure for my 2 15" Obsidians that's gonna be about 4 Cu Ft. after displacement. I plan on using my Hifonics Zeus 2000 which has a subsonic filter on it which for my ported enclosure I set about 5 Hz under my Box tuning. There's no option to turn the Subsonic filter off so I'm wondering what exactly I should set it at when using it for a sealed enclosure. Sorry if this lacks detail I'm unsure how/what to base setting it off of so I'm not sure what else to include.

Alright, I just put a new Fi Btl 18 in my 97 dodge ram 2500. It is diesel and has a h/o alternator and duel batteries. I was using a power acustik OVN1 5500D amp. It is connected to a battery with zero gauge wire for both the positive and ground. The gain was only turned up about half way with the BTL running at 1 Ohm. I did not listen to it all that loud, however one day the bass cut out and then the amp started to smoke. I immediately shut off the radio and felt the amp. It was cool to the touch. The amp was only in for a week and had only been used maybe three times.... When I got home I turned the radio back on and the LED indicator came on but no power is coming out …

So I have a Bad Deka Intimidator which Looks brand new but won't take a charge or go any higher than aprox 4v, what could I do if anything.. OR are there any places that will fix batteries if you can lol.

i just got word that i might be able to get one of the new jbl amps (bpx1100.1 or bpx2200.1) for cheap.....like manufacturer cost cheap....worth thinking about, i've heard very little about these amps, and if i do decide to go this route it will be replacing my hifonics 1500 to power a xxx15 :boxin:

Which one of these will be more powerful? I have two scv4k's going on three tridents but I have a feeling I'll need/want more power for those.

Would I fry the amp if I have the Big 3, stock alt, and a 2nd battery if I ran a saz-1500D at 1 ohm for daily?

Presently I own two Coustic 505DR's, three Coustic 510DR's and one Soundstream Rubicon 702. All pretty sweet old school amplifiers (if I do say so myself ). However, I'm very seriously contemplating selling them all and picking up three or four Rockford Fosgate T3002's. I'm wanting to compete in IASCA 0-600w class. With the RF's, I would have potential power of well over 2kw, yet still remain in the 0-600w bracket. With my current amps, I would be pushing the limit of 600w with even two of them, and I wouldn't have much more actual total power output than that 600w. Plus the RF amps are 1ohm/channel stable, were as the Coustics are not.....so the RF's really have fut…

should i set the amp and hu to match each other? ive heard of bypassing the amp's low pass crossover if thats even possible. any help would be appreciated.

Hi Im trying to replace my factory battery with an XS Power one. The one and only battery (according to the XS website) I can upgrade to is the D4800. However, I contacted them to verify this and they told me it would be recommended to make some measurements just to verify this. I went ahead and made some approximate measurements (since I did not want to deal with removing all this wires at 11pm) The measurements I got were the following: Height: ~8" Length: ~12" Width: ~71/2 These seem to match the dimensions from the D4800. I just installed the digital knukonceptz distribution block and connected a line for the ground so the digital display can work. My question is how long should the display stay on? Its been about 15min and its still on.

My setup is in my sig. I have everything set right on the amp and all the wires have solid connections, but no matter what I put the gain at and what volume I listen at, the amp will go into protect sometimes and then come out of it. I'm wired to 1 ohm @ 1000w. I don't get it. Could I have damaged my amp when the brahma blew? I had bass boost on with the brahma and didn't know it until I went and checked the levels when I hooked up the icon. I turned all that off so it's not on anymore. Any thoughts? If I forgot some info that you need, let me know.

i still got my fi bl 15" sitting in my room waiting to be installed into my 04 chevy colorado. my box is 3.9 ft^3 tuned @ 32 hz. i finally decided to go with sundown amps over rockford because i can get them cheaper. but i cant decide between the saz1500 or the sae1200. i can get the saz1500 $570 and the sae1200 for $350. i talked to jacob (sundown audio owner) and he said that the saz1500 is actually 1800 at 1 ohm and the sae1200 is actually 1500 at 1 ohm. will the bl be able to handle the saz1500? or should i just stick with the sae1200...plus its cheaper . im actually leaning towards the saz1500 but im afraid that it will be too much for my bl since im gonna be playin…

I've been doin a little research so stop me if i'm wrong. I need an EQ, large band, so that when i setup my amps, i can get the amplitude on as many frequencies as possible to their max potential without clipping because the output power on all frequencies is not the same... Ok, so, i found out that graphic vs parametric... parametric eq is better for this because of it's larger bandwidth. So, this is the only thing i have came up with, let me know what u think if it'll work for me or anything else you can think of- Audiocontrol DQS - it has 30band but do not know if it's graphic or parametric... Promised pics of my D7's when I got them. These are quick shots. I will get some better ones once I get some more time. These are the finest amps I have ever seen or touched in my life. They put the Zap's to shame really bad. Each one weigh roughly 20 lbs. and the build quality along with the crossover's and list of features and options are unmatched by any amp. I have not heard them yet but I can be pretty sure with the statement that these amps will go toe to toe with anything. DAMN! they look good. I am so happy I chose these over the Zapco's.
