I got the wiring already so would a 2nd run benefit me? I'm running a 240a alt, xs power d3400 up front, big 3 and 2 kitneik hc2400s in the back. Soundqubed 4500. I just hear many different things and not sure if it would be worth my time. Thanks guys

Hey all.Im going to be getting an AQ2200 amp soon and I was told I need to get another battery.I kinda figured I would need another battery but Im worried my alternator wont be able to keep up.As it is right now my head lights and other lights dimm when I have my music up with a autotek 1500 watt amp.My car is a 1977 Oldsmoblie Delta 88.The alternator is a remanufactured one and I have no clue how many amps it is putting out.I know the alternator isn't that old.So my question is if I put another battery and a AQ2200 amp in will the alternator handle it or will I need another one or what?I haven't done the big 3 yet as im not enterly sure of what it consists of but I know …

Ok so I tried using the search engine (not working for me). But what is the specific duty of the gain on the amp? How should I adjust it? I heard I am supposed to match the volts with my head unit preout volts? I bump the system daily. Also if you need more info on my setup its in my sig.

I have a BL 15 D2 running at 2000W (bridged) 4ohm on my US 2000x currently. Would hooking up each coil to each channel yielding 1000W at 2ohm to each coil make any difference? I would say no because 4ohm is more efficient? Thanks

Got a super old school 40x4 sony from a buddy of a mine and he said it worked. Spent all day running all the wires, got it hooked up and the power light comes on.. But there is something wrong, the only way I can describe it is a very loud thumping every second or so.. I have 2 sets of rca's ran and I think that could be the problem is me not having them set up right. On the back of my head unit I have the rca's hooked up to the sub amp fine. Then I have 2 pre-outs one set for the front and one set for the rear, well on the amp there is a,b,c,d and I'm not sure how this should be set up.. And the 2 sets of rca's are different idk if that makes a difference. Is this amp bl…

I've seen that some amps have a wired remote controller and my question is what does it do. Does it control the gain or bass boost because both of these are controlled by knobs on the amp so whats the point of having the remote? I don't know if this was posted before but i couldn't find anything on it.

Hey guys... It's me again... This time wondering if I should pick this one up... Can get the JL Audio 300/2 for about $175.. I would be using it for my front stage... I would also like to get some recommendations for the front stage.... I will be removing the rear deck speakers to make subwoofer sound easier to travel into the cabin... Should I pull the trigger or are there other options out there? I have 4 amps that interest me and are within a reasonable price range... I don't think I want to be that close to the $300 mark... So help me out again guys... I just threw a reference Soundstream in there, although I know its over my apparent budget...lol

Ok, so after doing the voltage setting of the gain, I figured I need around 50 volts for the saz2500d running at 1 ohm. Currently at 40 till I get the inside done with bracing. Problem is, when I turn volume up to 29-30, after 10-15 seconds the circuit breaker up front for the positive run of 0 gauge trips. Then the amp goes into protect mode. Am I drawing that much current that I need to run another run of 0 gauge? Have a 31m diehard platinum in the rear, all 0 gauge, and a 270 mechman. Big 3 in 0 gauge and all frame grounds. Amp ground is only 16" or so to frame.

Well, I'm upgrading, and had plans to keep existing power wire, but think i might stress the capacity of the wire. What I have: 20' of Knu KLMX 1/0AWG to second battery (trunk) [Fused @ 250A] 5' of Knu KLMX 1/0AWG from second battery to amps (distro. block in between) What I'm putting in: Soundstream RUB1.2500D [250A] Soundstream RUB2.600 [60A] Soundstream RUB2.250 [30A] Now, I've read that KLMX is capable of 250A loads, and Kolossus 300A+. Would the KLMX I have be enough to run the amps, if I upgrade the inline to 300A, and run 250,60,30 ANL in the distribution block. Hey guys I was just wondering what what ppl would choose! either 2 - batcap 2000 bnib or 1 XS d5100 and 1 xs d3100 bnib The batcaps will be about $536shipped The xs will be about $650shipped. when bridging a 2 channel amp do i need to have y adapters @ the hu as well as the amp inputs or do i just wire the rca's as normal? thanks in advance

So I have some free time coming up so I figured I would look into running a big 3 just to see if it makes any difference. Few questions... Is welding wire better for the big 3? Does the big three make any difference performance wise? I understand it helps with the dimming of the lights which will be good. If the big 3 works out I am thinking about getting maybe an optima yellow top for under the hood. Slowly trying to build up electrical.

ive read people saying to use the fuse rating to get a idea of how much rms power a amp will give you, can someone explain this to me? is there a formula to multiply or something to get an idea of this?

im having trouble finding out which battery i need. ive got an 18" BTL, sundown saz3000d, ad244 HO alternator(underrated for 200 amps), and a 8.5 cu. ft. box. so what battery do i need to replace my stock one with? or at least how many cold cranking amps am i looking for? not wanting to spend more then $300 on it (hopefully) but will do what is necessary to get this beast going. thanks steven

How much wire should i purchase from knukonceptz for the big 3? and should i get the 0 gauge or will the 4 gauge be just as good? I have a 12" fi bl on a sundown saz 1500d in a 2 cuft box tuned to 35.5hz. thanks

Hello, I have a older Blaupunkt Arizona head unit and has volume issues. All by itself left side channel goes silent. Also, if I adjust the volume dial it doesn't respond very well, it will start to run away in the increasing direction, I have to hit the mute button to get it to stop. I bought another new faceplate thinking that might be the problem, no effect. Still does these annoying things. Anything I can do myself? Unit not worth taking in and paying more than what it is worth. I'm an aircraft mechanic, so I can use a multi-meter and have good mechanical skills. Thanks in advance,

Hey guys, The system in my 2011 Ram is driving me crazy... Here is what is going on. At high volumes the draw from the amplifiers is kicking my trucks ass. The dash lights are dimming, the voltage drop is causing my HID lights to kick on and off, and I'm pretty sure that the PCM is trying to compensate by increasing the voltage regulation from the alternator. The voltage regulator is controlled by the PCM. It is not built into the alternator. When it is playing loud, it seems like the PCM is kicking the voltage up to about 15.5v according the my Bel radar detector voltage display and the HI VOLT warning it keeps flashing and beeping at me. I'm going to buy my gf some components because the speakers in her car sound really crappy and bugs the hell out of me. I need some suggestions on some good sounding 4 channel amplifiers that can be purchased for less than 300. Can either be a authorized dealer or ebay. Any help would be appreciated.

This may be a stupid question but this amp is a month old and i noticed the other day when i hooked up my new sa-10s that i had music coming through my subs. My lpf was at 120ish so i dialed it back to 80. Should there be music coming through at 120? especially on a mono amp? IM worried somthing is wrong with the amp as i have never noticed that before on my other amp which is exactly the same only from different vendor.

i was wondering since you guys have a bit of experiance, but i have a ford windstar 1996 with a Alpine 9816, was was wondering should i upgrade? cause the am getting attracted to the NEW sony's with Tilt and the Kenwoods with Tilt. would it matter if i changed? make a difference in quality or sound? if so any recommendations on a good HU with tilt.
