Anyone familiar with these amps? I have 3 of them and I am trying to figure out what the switch on the bottom actually does. It has an "H" and "L" which I thought would be high/low pass filter, but it doesn't seem to make an audible difference. Also, Is the Remote and ACC relay on these amps known to go bad?

Hello everyone. Had questions about how to tune my amplifier. I dont want to start slammin the BL and have it go out on me. Let me say first I have done my Big 3. Running 1gauge to rear battery. 4 gauge to amps. I have a good idea on how to set my amp gains. I read the HOW-TO here on the forum. What I need is how to tune this knobs on my JL AUDIO amp that I havent a clue what they are. First would be my infrasonic frequency(hz) knob. It goes from 15 to 60HZ. Also there is a on and off switch for that. Second, there is a Parametric EQ setting marked "Q". This setting can be tuned from 0.5-4.3. I belive its the bandwidth control. Anybody know for sure? What should I set my…

I was looking around today and found this amp at a local store. My friend has been looking for an amp that could run good power at two ohms mono or a 2 channel that could run 1 ohm stereo and I was wondering if this amp had any guts to it or if anyone could find some specs on it. I figured this might be a good old school amp. If you need some other pictures I can post them too. Thanks Kader

Does anyone know the stats behind this ancient Sony XM-235 amplifier? I got it for free in a garage sale package deal with some other stuff. I found some manuals on-line but you have to buy them all. They all have pictures of the manuals front cover with a lot of stats but i can never make out the numbers or words because the resolution is so bad. Thanks for your help.

So I've been pondering the idea for a while, but now I've started to putting it in real sense. I would like to take all my audio/video source into one media source. Now, I'm aware of people placing "Carputer"s into their vehicle, I guess in a sense, this is what I would like to do, but not 100%. I would still like to keep a 7" DVD unit as the headunit and the brains of my vehicle. Currently, I have the Pioneer 4300DVD, but I also have my eye on the Clarion NX702. Either system supports many ways to go about extending its media source. So currently, I've been using my ipod for the most of my music, and music videos. Then I would use the the cd/dvd slot for watching movies…

Here is the situation, I am looking into buying some 100wrms component speakers. I found this amp (Alpine MRH-F255) in my friends trunk and he said I could have it. After searching the internet i found out that it is running 35X4rms along with a subwoofer channel. Does anyone know how I would go about bridging this amp into a 2 channel (if its even possible). This amp is running a wire harness for its speaker outputs and so I have absolutely no idea on how I would bridge it... And if I cant bridge it, would 35 watts sound better than just the head unit to power the speakers (most likely Alpine spr-17s or sps-600c)? My second question is if i do deside to use the amp, I kn…

Anyone had any experience with these amps? Im looking for sq amps but it must be able to fit under the seat of my 07 frontier. This amp seems to fit the bill pretty well as far as size and with the class g/h design should be pretty clean sounding. It will be bridged to a pair of HAT CLARUS 6.5 components. Passive for now.

I tried searching on two sites and couldnt find it, but what does running at full tilt mean? Like blaring the volume all the way almost (3/4ths give or take) or turning the phase all the way to 180 or whatever? I dont know why I thought so, but I've always thought it was turning hte phase up...

Hey guys, i'm looking for 1/0 gauge wire for a big 3 upgrade. I was researching some wire and it seems that 1/0 is pretty damn expensive. I stumbled across this brand knukonceptz which was the cheapest, and i had to post something to get feedback, because i noticed in their description that their wires are made up of 90% aluminum and 10% copper. Now for an amplfier i wouldn't care, but i'm pretty sure for a big three upgrade i'm looking for least resistance, and that wire is basically all aluminum. I'm not trying to bash the company, but would you guys recommend this wire for a big three upgrade, or should i go off looking for something that has pure copper threading in i…
