Thanks. now onto pics. its a vulcan VI by hifonics. pretty old school amp. now from what i understand its a 2 channel amp. so im assuming that the red/black are power and ground and the one set of wires are marked - and + so im assumeing the orange is remote and the other set is the other channel? if so which is positive and which is negative? anyway thanks to danssoslow im sure ill put it to use. ohh haven't had a chance to hook it up but will tommorrow for sure. thanks Dustin.

Has anyone here heard of it or used it? It seems a bit old but IDC much about that. As long as it works. What do you guys think of it? does it put out near rated power? Don't these have a lot of current draw, and are power hungry? LMK because I think I just found a HECK of a deal on this amp... Powering a Fi BTL, wired at 1 ohm but will most likely have the gain alll the way down. looks a little different than the 5082 I've seen... He called it the 582hx, no google searches came up...

hey guys and girls, I've been looking around for a H/O alternator for my 03 VW Golf GTI. I was speaking to a representative from Kinetik's about power cells that I will be needing to power my soon to be Sundown Audio 3000 amp. The representative told me that the higher than amperage from the alternator, the more power will be drained from the engine. He was also telling me that it is a big enough drain since I drive a 4 cyl car. Soon after I spoke to a representative from Ohio Alternators and he told me that the loss of horsepower would only be be a maximum of 5 from the engine with a 200 amp alternator at full power. first off is it better to stick w/ the same brand when dealin w/ amps for a system? i plan on purchasing the pioneer premier ts-c720prs comps powered by the zed audio gladius burr brown. i have a 10w7 (for testing purposes) and my friend says if i go w/ the gladius for comps i should get another zed for the sub. so now im thinkin bout doin two ppi art series amps thx in advance

So I recently traded a Kicker 350.4 for two Tang Band W6-1721 drivers and now I have a question. I have never thought of this before and don't remember seeing it done, but on a four channel 2 ohm stable amp could you run two channels at 4 ohms and the other two at 2 ohms? I want to have the Tang Bands up front with my Tantric 6.5 components and in the rear doors have a second set of Tantrics.

Ive been focusing on subwoofer amps mostly other than speaker amps. Are there different type of amps made specificly for speakers but not subwoofers. can someone send me a link or a name of a rockford fosgate amp for just speakers?

I'm getting my fully loaded Fi BTL N2 18'' soon. I'm still not sure what amp to get without overpowering or under powering the BTL. Do you think 1 Rockford t2500bdcp would be too much for it (it put out 2500watts at 1ohm and 2 ohm)?? Or also im thinking about getting 2 rockford T1000bdcp's (which puts out 1000watts at 1ohm or 2ohm) and hooking up one amp on each coil on the BTL. Let me know what you guys think Thank you

so my friend traded some stuff and got a sealed 10" menphis sub and a jensin amp. before he traded it i had the guy install it in his car to mak sure everything worked, which it all did and sounded fine. so he traded and after running wires in my friends car and plugged everything in the power light turns on, but when tested with my DMM there is no output in the speaker terminals... here is a googled page i found on the amp... could the rca's be bad? im pretty sure they are wired right deck is an alpine CDE-102 need any other info just ask... im lost haha

what are some good high output alternators for a 2010 nissan altima. I dont want to do any electrical damage with an aq2200d and two bl 12's so i finally decided to buy a ho alternator around 300amps

Ive heard good things about their amps, and I love the volt meter on the air models. Are the specs accurate on these, and are they good quality? They are dirt cheap, 134$ for the t700 with shipping to AK added on amazon. I was thinking of getting the t700 to put on the Dcons if it would be better then the soundstream rubicon 2.600 that I currently have. Couldn't find any actual reviews on them though. Thought I'd ask for your opinions, lot of smart people here. Thanks guys.

I've been reading and reading and I guess I haven't really seen it explained in a way that I understand 100% so I must ask. Let's say I have a dual 1 ohm sub, If I wire it in series to a pair of strapped amps each amp will be seeing a 1 ohm load right? When I wire it I simply sire in series to the 1st amp and just run the RCA to the slave amp?

I just hooked up a rf t40001bd amp in my car, the amp is ran by 3 stinger sp1000 batteries and a 250 amp alt. I played it for a good 40 minutes I than went out to listen to it again and pop the amp smoked and the fuse discolored (but never popped... not sure wat else Im scared to put another amp in... Any help would be appreciated

I have 60' (40' clear/silver, 20' blue) of Monster 400 Series 1/0. I need another 100' (40'clear/silver, 60') blue though. So I was wandering if I should bother hunting like crazy for more Monster, which I have been doing, or sell it all and get some Knu Fleks 1/0. Basically, should I hunt for another 100' of Monster 400, or say screw it and get 160' Knu Fleks?

So I have two zv4 18s d2s...original plans was to strap afew 2ks on them at 2 ohms but ran across and almost forgot about the 4601ds which are 0.5 stable...I know the opti7001ds do rated i had a popcorn 6k "Same amp". I'm new to this site and had a couple of qestions about the Sundown saz3000d. I have 2 digital design 9515's dual 2's and I was wondering what would be a good amp to place with them? Right now I have 2 audiobahn 2300 hct but I am not satisfied and I was thinking of putting 2 saz3000d's in replace of them. I already know I need to upgrade my charging system. Any suggestions? Dana

I am wondering what sized wire is sufficient to run from my amplifier to my subwoofer. It will be about 6 feet long and delivering approximately 1750-2000 watts rms.

So I'm going to buy a new car but before I do I want to finish buying everything i need for my system (alt+batts) my current car has probably 70amp alt and I'm wondering if it would be ok to hook up everything without a ho alt until I can get the new car really my concern is with ruining the batts (5 duracell amg 105ah g31) I'm getting a CTEK battary charger so could I just charge them every now an then or would it be to much strain on the batts? First question: What is a "float charge"? I've heard the term a few times, but never what it means. Second: How do you maintain a "float charge"?
