i need some advice on how to build a buss bar for my setup. my batteries are side by side and that is the only way i can mount them. i need the bars to stay as close to the batteries as possible (cant go by box). my battery rack is adjustable so normally they sit below the back seats and for shows i can raise them up.

I am currently running 2ohm kicker cvr's on a zx750.1 amp i recently blew one of the subs. so i purchesed two kicker CVX's 12"s 2ohms I was wondering how i should wire these two to the amp I kow the amp is under rated for these subs but i plan to get a better amp later on. I would asume the kicker 750.1 amp be good enough I dont need to push the VCX's to the max Becuse they are right behind the seats in a single cab 09 F150.

Saw some people unsure of how to do this in the Hop figured it'd be really quick to make a how to on this. It's very simple to do but sometimes pictures make all the difference...Since I've cleared my cache/cookies I haven't received an error from this site Step 1: Goto chrome options - Select History Step 2: Select "Clear All Browsing Data" Step 3: Check Empty the Cache Check Delete Cookies Select Clear Browsing data and you're done.

I am building a small sub box for my 2001 S10 ext cab ZR2 using a shallow mount MB Quart driver. I'll be mounting on the rear wall of the cab. Anyway I pulled off that rear wall panel and discovered there is a cavity where I should be able to do some good in terms of sound deadening and wondered if using regular spray foam found at home depot will actually do some good? Is it dense enough to stop sound or should I be thinking about another solution? Mind you I'm just looking to have it better than it was to cut down on road noise since I've got that area opened up...not looking to spend a lot of money or have to order more products in.

Not that newbie’s are dumb. But there have been a lot of posts on here lately that if they read the pinned thread about them. It would make the post end a lot sooner or not even start Some of those threads are what is my tuning frequency? I like reading book and proving if they are wrong or right. So one I like is a book by old colony sound labs called loud speaker cook book. It’s a good book on the general subject of box tuning. And hay you may learn a thing or two about alignments. More then what a box calculator will teach you. Another subject is what components should I buy? I do not know because it is better to listen to them yourself. I for one prefer a…

Hey guys I have never installed HIDs before and I was hoping someone here could help me. I looked up what kind a 94 toyota 4runner needs and they say Its 9004 so I ordered a hi/low kit from ddm tuning. I figured out most of the shit of the install pretty Simple theres just one plug I can't seem to find a place for. I am guessing it's what tells the lights to go on and off from the switch. Here's a pic of the plug in the instructions that don't come with it that you have to go to their website for say it should just be hanging loose somewhere, but i can't seem to find it. Link to download instructuons Where would I find this? Is this even the right plug for it? Any help …

ok so my buddy has a mazda6 with the bose system. he wanted me to help him out with his install. he found a diy for the car. basically what we did was take the signal from the factory subwoofer in the rear spare tire well and hooked that up to some rca's for the signal. the factory plug had 4 wires, 2 for signal, 1 for power (remote) and 1 for ground. i chopped the rca cables like the diy said and i soldered the wires behind the shielding to the designated wires. when we hooked up the rcas to the amp it worked and we were stoked, but when he turned the car on, there was a slight humming in the subs. i turned up the lpf and it was playing higher frequencies too. whenever…

So just recently my subwoofer and Amplifier started cutting out. What I mean is the speaker will play for a few seconds at the normal loud volume I play it at regularly then the sub starts making a weird noise, the amp light dims, and the speaker basically just stops playing. Any ideas what it could be? Maybe a short behind the speaker wiring? Just wanted to see If I could make this troubleshooting faster cause it's a pain getting that speaker out behind the seats of my single cab truck. I have a Sundown SA-10 wired @ 2 ohms Diablo Audio Technology 1000.1 About 1.25 Cu. Ft. Box tuned to 34 hz

Hello, I would need some help on wiring two amps. I have Sundown 50.4 for fronts and backs, and will order Sundown 125.2 for 2 8'' subs in the back. I need wiring info on which things to buy to wire those two amps. I was looking at knukoncepts and wasn't sure which items to grab to have complete parts. This kit seems good for the 50.4 and I should have enough power wire to run it to the amps 4 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit and then I got info that I should run distribution block to split the power wire between the two amps ? If so which distribution wire would be a good one ? I don't think I would need another amp kit but just additional rca's, another ground wire, c…

Hey, I am thinking of building my 1st sealed sub enclosure for two 8" Orphans from Sound Splinter. I am planning to put it in the trunk of my car (Focus zx3). The trunk measures ~ 41 wide and 30" deep. I believe a single orphan needs 0.186 cu ft (0.178cuft + .08cu ft displacement of the sub) so im assuming (correct me if im wrong) two orphans would need 2x as much, .372cu ft. What I know for certain is that the box needs to be at least 6" deep and be able to fit 2 amps on top (1 mono channel for the orphans and one amp for the speakers). And I would like to be able to easily remove the enclosure when i need a bit of extra space in my trunk, so would something lik…

I recently have taken out my Fi Q and put in another sub to test/listen to before sale. During the uninstallation of my Q I fussed with my amp / tightened conections/took rcas out but not power or ground wire/ lifted it off the amp rack exc. Upon reinstalltion of my Fi sub when volume gets high, the sub seems to be skipping out on hitting its notes/ skips. I was thinking off the bat that it was my rcas gone bad, as it has happened before. Another side of me thinks that its my electrical, maybe one of my batteries is dead and is only kept charged by the rear battery. I have a horrible but operating set up -to regular starting battery 4 gauge to battery in back which i…

Hello all, as the title says I have some USB problems. What I mean is I had put songs on 2 separate drives and only a small portion actually play through my HU. I tried searching through the drive from my HU and pick a song that wasn't playing and it won't play. But when I plug the USB into my computer or Xbox it shows and plays every single song. I have also tried putting songs on in sections and every single song works, but when I put all the sections together it doesn't play them all. My friends usb's play all the songs no problems. So maybe my computer is a POS and won't put them all on? Idk, does anyone have any tips or advice?

Hey Guys, I am new to this forum and throught I would try to contribute. If anyone is looking for reapir manuals, owner manuals or service manuals for virtually any type of car, there is a FREE ebook at the address below. I asked him could I download and share it, but he said he prefers to have people come to the website. The site itself isn't the best, Sometimes there are annoying ads and surveys. The ebook is only a couple of pages, but it gives a list of places online where you can find almost any service and repair manuals, even for very old models and trucks. I would highly recommend to download it and keep it on your computer. Website - 1000’s of Free Car Van a…

  23. Not sure if this was posted yet, but I thought I might put together a little guide on how to determine where a song peaks. Go to http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and download for your applicable OS. Install it and everything open it up... Drag and drop your song from Itunes, etc. You should end up with something like this.. Select a portion of the song you want to anylize or you can do CTRL+A to select the entire song. Go to Analyze then to plot spectrum, you may get an error "Too much audio was selected. Only the first XXX.X seconds of audio will be analyzed. That's fine just click, OK. This window will then pop up, on the lower left of your screen change t…
