Hey guys. I have no experience with either sub and I would like some feedback from those who actually have had personal experience with both subs instead of just guessing from specs. Which will be louder on 1400 watts rms amp? This will be a sealed box of 2 cubes with 2 lbs of polyfil. Usable frequency 30hz/24db - 80hz/24db. Personally when I look at the specs I am guessing the performance might be on par with the Xcon being a tad louder, but Fi is around 32 lbs and Xcon is around 47 lbs, so in terms of weight Fi is a better option, but is the extra weight of Xcon worth it if it is in fact that much louder? This is for a daily driver. Thanks

Here is the ssa 15" xcon in a infinite baffle setup, it is a temporary setup so it doesn't look nice, this was to just see how it would do in infinite baffle, to just let you know it is only getting roughly 200-250watts of power. Oh, and by the way, this inst the guy who actually uses this account, im the friend hes next door looking for mdf. video 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtWSgJyrHDU video 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOTSggsL7SU video 3 - Outside - were outside the house in this one.. not that interesting. and im the one talking, not the owner of this account. he told me to post em up here while he was outside. so again, this is just something we did in…

Please don't bash me for this. I want to know why my ssa xcon sucks at any frequency's above 60hz. I know they are mainly meant for deep bass, but every other sub ive ever owned could hit the 60-100hz range well, even my last 1000rms 15" i used to have. I know this sub is not those subs, but why is a sub that meant for SQ not able to hit those frequency's I really like the fill in there, even that some of you may think its pointless or dumb. also to add is that better component speakers would help but it would take like 6 8" woofers to get the feel i wan't and thats way way to much money for me.

Well guys, after a very loooooong wait...its finally over! And let me tell you, I have not even heard this thing yet and Im already creaming my panties. Here are some pictures, and when I have it installed hopefully a little bit later today I will update with pics. For those of you who already own an SSA subwoofer this will be nothing new for you (but probably brings back some great memories!). For those sitting on a fence trying to decide which way to go??? .... I have to say as far as shipping goes, SSA gets an SSA+. Holy shit you guys do this right! You guys even included a living room table! My son playing in the box. …

I will be using one of these subs as a temporary sub setup till I get my electrical right, money right and subwoofer choices down to run my Sundown SAZ-2000D @ 1ohm. I have a 2003 Saturn Ion, stock alternator and stock battery so far and just took out my 3-12" Kicker CVX's in 5.9ft^3 @ 25.94Hz. As you can tell I love the lows (my priority in any system I have), I listen to: a lot of chopped and screwed music plus r&b, rap and old school. I will be building a new enclosure anywhere from 3-3.75ft^3 for the Kicker CVX 15" and 3.25ft^3 for the Sundown Z15. The price difference is $50 (Sundown more pricey), Im not worried about customer service (dont plan on blowing neithe…

hey guys i was wondering if yall could help me out on my goal. I want to get to 150 on music daily/ground pounder or as close as i can get to 150 with the amount of space and power i have. To start off with i have a 275 amp Ohio generator alternator, most likely i am going to buy 1 or 2 xs d3100 batteries. Thats what my electrical is going to consist of. So for the amp i am go to buy a saz-3500. Now for subs i would have a budget of $700-$800 and i have about 8ft^3 to work with and thats after port and bracing displacements. I would also like to tune my box between 32-34hz as i listen to mainly nothing but rap music. let me know what yall guys have in mind.

I have a 4000 watt hifonics brutus amp, and im have trouble deciding which subs i should get. i have been thinking about getting 1 18btl but i have herd that getting just one 18 btl is not a good idea. why is that not a good idea? if its not a good idea what subs should i look into, i have a trail blazer so space is pretty much unlimited, and im looking to spend no more than 750 for sub(s). Or have i herd wrong is one 18btl the way to go, i just want to bump really hard im not looking to enter into competitions and such just for my everyday driving, ha and maybe to show off a little. any and all help is appreciated.

Im currently running alpine PDX series amps with One Alpine Type R 15. It's nice but not really as loud as I like it. The amps are PDX 1000-1 and PDX-100-4, The sub right now is in a 2 cubic foot box sealed. My question is, will i be able to fit 1 18 inch ascendant audio havoc in my trunk? I will be running the Sundown 1500 for this sub. Any thoughts or better suggestions would be great. Im not dead locked on the 18, I could also consider 2 15's in the havoc series. As you can see I have a 2002 lincoln ls, no spare tire or any trunk material in the car, So the entire trunk can be used. Will the 18 inch havoc be able to perform in this tight space?

I've been trying to figure out what to do with my 18 XXX. I finally decided on a 4-5 cube sealed box, depending on how large an area I can fit in my trunk, but the 4-5 cubes are the definite range. I was going to go just sealed, but love low end & was wondering if I could do passive radiators w/ the xxx. Corey don't kill me for makin this post, just figured it'd help! By the way, if any of you end up not liking me one bit, blame Corey A., he's the one who told me to come here. Anyway, thanks for any help or any insight in this idea.

ok i was lookin at the atomic extinction level event 24 inch subs and it says that they have the cone area of 3 15 inch subs so if i bought four of them would that sound as though i had 12 15 inch subs. they are 2k rms so i would have them hooked up with that. astro van so plenty of room to utilize. or are they too big. would the cones flex and through off the linearety causing the cone to flex and unwated heat and distortion to set in. or would i just be better off to go with the four fully loaded btl 18's with around 3k rms per sub. i like rap so thats what will be played through them and pretty often. please give me some feedback after viewing this thread cause i need …
