Is Hertz speakers high end like . Dynaudio etc.... ? Looking for high powered speakers SQ . my hu is a Denon rfx 8250

Just wondering what you guys think of the Hertz HSK 165.4 ( this is the 165.3 version though). I found a place here that I could get these for 350$. Are they worth it for a daily driver street beater / comp car? I know they are more for sq than spl (i am trying to pair them with a single 18" Fi BTL). I like to listen to more than just rap and bass cds so i think these should do well with the BTL (which is a monster). I have also noticed that the hertz website says these are only two way speakers but the magazine I have says the HSK 165.4's are 3 way...don't know, kind of confused. If you guys wouldn't pair these speakers up with the BTL, what would you for front end? some…

Hi all, just trying to get to grips with all of this series and paralel wiring stuff. I am looking at buying a set of 4 100W continuous load speakers for my car (at the standard 4ohm). I understand now that if you wire these in a parelel circuit you will be able to use a 2ohm load for them. The amplifier i'm looking at says it powers 2x95w at 2 ohms. So if i wire 2 speakers up to one connection on the amp will it power both speakers at 95w or send 95w to split between the speakers. I dont know if i need a 2x200w at 2ohms or if this amp is perfectly capable. Just so it helps explain the parts im looking at, i'll provide links to them to see if anyone can tell me if im goin…

I currently have 2 Hertz EBX-200R's running off of an ARC audio KS300.4 bridged to 350w rms per sub @4 ohms. I was wondering if it would benefit me at all to go to an Orphan 8? I'm not sure I can run the ARC's bridged @ 3 ohms, though, so I would have to check that (I know they DON'T recommend 2ohms bridged). These are in the trunk of my 2007 Maxima. I don't have a lot of space, as I didn't want to chew up my whole trunk with a sub box, that's why I went with the Hertz subs, because of the small box. How small of a box can I run the Orphan 8 in efficiently? Am I better off keeping the Hertz's, or is the Orphan a better sub? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Just wondering what would anyone pick Hertz HSK Image Dynamics CTX65CS Sounstream RF -60c ARC FD6000 Boston Acoustics SR60 Audison Voce AV X6.5 I do not have anywhere to try any of these out Also . Is clipping protection necessary ? It seems to be in most high end componenets . My Old Orions Hcca would do this and it was'nt that loud .... Any one know of components around $200-300 great for SQ and handle lots of power .

After trying to work out a place to fit my Mpyre 65Ms in my Tercel wagon, I realized it wasn't going to happen. I sold them and bought a new pair of Hertz Space 6 mids. The Hertz are 2" shallower 2" than the Mpyres, which will allow me to build some kick pods for them. Is anybody here running the Space 6 in kicks? How do they sound? The only constant in my system over the last year are my DLS R4 comps. I bought them last year for a steal. The 4"s are mounted in the stock under dash locations in the Toyota, with the tweeters in the outboard AC vents. Sry to keep posting these questions but ill try to make it as specific as possible. Mind you i perfer a really warm sounding speaker but i also like detail. So im doing a 3 way setup with either the CDT ES 07 and the Peerless SLS or the Hertz Hi Energy 165 (6.5) and HV200 (8) So which do you think i would like more and would have the best SQ

It is between the tc2000 and Oz audio matrix elite and rlp 15. First off what are your opinions on these three woofers? I cannot find much on the Oz on the forums. Hello all, I have to say that Fi car audio has really caught my eye.. first off I will say Hi and that my name is Tyler. With that said here is my question. I have been looking at the FI SSD 15 and I'm not sure about what ohm and stuff to get on the sub with the amp I have. I currently have a Crossfire VR602 and I need some help with picking the options on the sub ( such as Ohm: FlatwindCoil: BP Power: ). Im sure i dont need flatwindcoil or bp power as they just seem to be upgrade options.. so basically all i need to know is what ohm I should get on the sub dual 1 or dual 2.. and im sure the amp will be underpowering the sub but should it sound ok bridged?

Wow it's been such a long time since I was here.. Anyway, I had an account here called Pandy IIRC, but for some odd reason it seems to be gone.. Not a problem lol. I'm interested in getting a vey high resolution "Magnum" logo. I figured since they can no longer be called "Magnums" that perhaps a high resolution image might now be available without any conflict. After all my Claw Basket Mags are still Mags. On a side note, does anyone know how many Claw Basket Mags (12" of course) exist? ... How rare are these? The Hammer

just wanted to say hi, i just put my order in yesterday for my 15" mag and i cant wait. the mag will be going in my 04 scion xb, not sure what amp im going to run yet maybe a modded bd1500 or an re 12.1. i was previously running 3 crystal 8's with a power bd500 hitting mid 140's and am hoping to do a little better with this 15.

Does anyone know anything about the Hifonic Olympus subwoofers? Are the good subs, what kinda amps should i run to em and are they good for competition?

after about 8 months of playin my hifonics Goliath 1600 on a hifonics brutus 2000d, the spider has loosened out. no ripping it just came off clean. since the sub was put in the car at lower frequencies a smell was givin off smelling like the newness coming out. but it has been doin it since. sub is out waiting to repair. any theories on the smell?(not burning smell) and has this happened to anyone else with hifonics products?

Hello today is my first day on here and I hoping that maybe some of you guys on here could tell me of a better sub on the market that would be louder than my hifonics goliath 12" sub. here are the specs for you: quad coil 2 0hm 2400rms and 4800 peak watts foam surround aluminum cone 3"voice coil 160 oz mag. it weighs 38 lbs it is n a ported box think it is n like 2.5 cubes and I have a hifonics bxi 2608 amp I am wanting a single sub. I have an eclipse so i dont have much space to work with please help! thanks

i bought this sub maybe 5 years ago... i bought this sub while on the search for something more then the normal JL kicker blah blah blah.. meanwhile this sub was like 400 bucks.. and i found one that had a broken basket for 30 bucks or so so i bought it only to get it in hand and see how it was build, and the quality of the sub.. long story short.. i bought 2 BL15s and thats how i met SSA, any how.. this thing has a 4 inch V/c and so forth.. i guess my question is... before i put it on CL for 20 bucks.. can this motor be taken off and used on another basket??? and if so will FI's or someone elses 4 inch BL VC be used on a 18 inch sundown basket? anyhow im all j…

Has anybody had any experience with the Hifonics OLM1612. I looking at them seen they recommend a high tunning frequency 40hz not really high but high for my taste, but has anybody had any experience with them at lower tunning 30-32hz..... and how did they perform on music, i listen to alot of slowed down music (chopped screwed) so really concerned on well they play low
