Tracy could you give us a little clinic on the advantages of the new L7's compared to the older L7's and if your feeling sausey, could you explain to us the advances of the SX line over the KX amp line

Does anybody have anything good or bad to say about Alpine type x components. What would be better for the money??

I just wanted to say congrats on building a great driver. If it sounds anywhere as good as it looks(which I know it does) you have a winner. This is hands down one of the best looking/meanest subs I've seen in a while. Its always after I buy a sub something new comes out that I want I'll get one sooner than later....

What would you guys recommend for a Beefy 10 inch woofer? Its gunna be run in a standard/regular cab truck and run by a sae-1000. I was thinking a BL 10 or an icon 10 but im not sure. I just want loud, shaking, low bass. Any suggestions?

Incriminator Audio Death Row or Fi Q. Looking for powerful lows, solid high end. Basically an all around sub that dominates the low end. Planning on running 2 12"s ported? Thanks for the input.

Does anyone make a recone that would work for a JL 15w6? It has a 2.5" VC on it... I bought a pair of used 12" Brahma MkII subs a few months back. When I hooked them up, the one has a slight noise to it (the other sub has no issues). At low volumes it wasn't really noticeable but with the volume turned up it was definitely noticeable. The noise originally sounded like the dust cap was loose (slight ticking sound). I checked the dust cap and it is secure. I pushed down on the cone to see if there was any noise/coil rub but there wasn't. The voice coils read like they should (1.5/1.6 ohms). I noticed that there was excess glue where the cone meets the spider (at the 1 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 7 o'clock positions) and the glue is pretty hard. If I put a lit…

Hey everbody i have a small question i have a 12 in icon that ive had since about january and today when i was listing to it and it started to make a popping sound right where the dust caps at and only at hi volumes and i was wondering if anybody might know what it might be.

I'm trying to decide if I should go with (2) 15" BTL's or (2) 18" BTL's? Its only about $60 more to go with both 18's over the 15's but i would be using the same rms going to them. what size sub would sound better/louder being they both are getting the same amount of power/rms? Pre-orderig a Sundown-SAZ 4500D

i was checkin out these subs and saw that the 10" DC lv.3. Whats it go for? and will it work pretty good in a long wedge shaped box w/ 3/4" mdf at .78 cu. ft in a sealed box? 600/1200 seams to be wat i need. i figured i can only get one cuz im limited on space and wanted a good sized box for a good output. whats the excusion like? thanks.

Are these 2 dd3512e pretty much maxed out at 144.5 db? Trunk setup on aq3500d (old one). Is this possible to get them louder?

Hey guys..im having a little trouble with my sub right now..right when i start the car up, everything is fine..but after a little while it seems like the sub gets quieter. Sometimes it will play normal for 5-10 mins, and sometimes it will only last for a minute of less. I have no idea what could be causing this. Anyone have an idea?

Heres the situation...I have Boston Acoustic NX67 (around 5yrs old) in the back of my rsx. The problem is that when i raise the volume on my Alpine 9807 HU to around 15 at 200hz, mid-range +4 I get severe distortion from these speakers. A ppi 2240 amp is powering both these speakers and the front CDT Classic Components. The Comps sound beautiful at this volume, you can really here the mids and highs articulate and hereinlies the problem. I want to be able to play my deck at this volume at this specific x-over frequency (200hz) without the rears distorting. Would I be best suited to 1.) replace the boston coaxials with a speaker that can handle higher rms, 2.) replace…

alright, so somehow the basket on my ns just broke like a 3" long peice off, only thing that is holding it on is the surround that is stuck to it. i googled how to do a recone and found this. [How To] Build or recone a speaker - Realm of Excursion i used a search on here and didnt find anything so i figured i would post this up for peoples information. if this is against the rules then by all means delete it. im not sure how that works. hope this helps somebody as much as its going to help me.

i'm about to get a pair of 18's and i only want to run them sealed in the smallest ideal box i can have them in...they are going in a 92 cadillac eldorado with a pg amp...if anyone here can help me out with the best per chamber volume and total box net that would be much appreciated....thanks and im glad i joined this site.

I want to have a port that is out side of my box but I also want a port that runs along the contours of the side of my hatch. This will make for a port that is shaped like "~". Is this a problem so long as I make sure that the port is exacly "x" cubic inchs? What sort of problems could I encounter? Thanks Jerry

I have a problem with my mtx 12s everything is hooked up but when I press the gas the subs go off and i thought it was the fuse it was hooked to but i switched the fuse and it kept doing it so I took it off the fuse and left it off but I started driving home and the subs kept going off what could it be I need help

Hi, Am interested in replacing 2x 10" sub in a Nuance N-200 box. The box size is 12" x 23" x 15" My primary interest is SQ. I also want deep bass. I have no idea if the dabers would sound good in the box below. Thanks in advance Here's the underside of the box...

Ok so I already have the box it’s 2.5 cubes net per sub. I’m trying to see what specs would be most important for sealed . From what I’m taking lower f3 is important. Currently looking at sundown sa15’s and incriminator audio lethal injection 15 .
