Right now I have 2 RF T110D4's in sealed box fiberglassed to floor under back seat. I want to up grade to get it a little louder and sound better. The box now is about 1.9cuft I think. I will tear this out of course for new box. Is there anyway to jack up the seat brackets a couple of inches to allow more volume to the box? And still make it look good, and functional. I've always wanted 12's but was told they wouldn't fit. Is there any way I can get better option's with leaving the seat back there? My amp right now is a RF T10001 power series. hey guys, right now i got the box build already, it's a 11.2 cube box sealed. I was using a bunch of left over wood. one IXL 18 is going to go into it. I could add (3) 4 inch ports and make it a 10.7-ish cube box tuned to 16hz, or I could keep it sealed. it's going to get about 900rms. what should i do? I haven't ordered the sub yet. If I was to do sealed, i thought i'd go with the high Qt. I'm just afraid the 10.7 cubes is too small for ported, or will it be ok? since sealed would be in such a big box, wouldn't the lows be comparable to the ported box? say in the 15-20hz? or not really?

Anyone have experience with them? Focusing on sounding good. Been looking mainly at the 33 V1 and the 30 A1. Opinions?

I'm trying to install them but the post are not marked which is positive and negative, how can you tell which is which?

Hi guys, My Durango has 6.5's upfront with factory 1 inch tweets and 6.5''s in rear. My plan was to put new comp set up front and a midbass spkr, in rear, but after reading some peoples posts they say rear spkrs. won't be heard anyway. Is this true? If so instead of a 4 channel amp do I just run a 2 ch. and wire it to the spkrs and tweets or just the spkrs and run the tweets off the radio? Thanks for your help.

well ive done a little more since these pics and vids but the set up is 4 10 inch level 3s with level 4 coils and an extra spider box is 3.9 at 34 with 71 inchs of port amps are 2 ap30001Ds running at 2 ohm to the subs ( 6k ) electrical is 2 red tops in the back and stock up front 140 amp alt 2 runs of 1 gauge to the back and 0 gauge to the amps all stuffed into the trunk of a 1994 chevy cavilier! pics... an excursion vid ( only on 2000rms as i didnt have my 2nd amp then) and some numbers the 145.8 was sealed up at 42 hz and the 148.1 was with drivers door open the subs take the power surprisingly well havent smelt burning vc yet eather!

I have 4 RF Punch Stage 1's (I know they suck, temporary until I can get more money). I just lined the inside of my box with mattress padding (cheapo, I know). Before I put the foam in the box was tuned to 29 Hz. Did the airspace the foam took up make my box smaller? I built the box with 4 separate chambers, each one being 1.805 cu. ft., which is slightly larger than the recommended 1.79 cu. ft. per sub. So is the box smaller now and have a different tuning? Also, is fast double bass bad for these subs? I have them on a horrible Xplod amp wired at 2 ohms ~600 rms. They sound good, but I know I'll be getting something else asap.

I'm planing to purchase a lvl 5 15" in the very near future and so I'm working on the box design and I was hopeing someone could give me the volume of this woofer. Thanks...

well i could really use some help with my box design.. i ordered a 15 Xcon on monday and i want to start on the box for it.. i have a table saw and router and have built a couple boxes before.. but i am kind of new to this and want this box to sound good,, it will be going in the back of my 06 ford-f-150 fx4 supercrew.. i plain on putting it were my small side rear seat folds... i would like it to be 21x21 then 27-26 tall. ( sub on top ).. i would like it to come out to the 4 cu.ft ported.... they say 26-33 hz..... i listen to mostley rock...hard rock... but i like most music that sounds good.... i love good bass... i am not very good at figureing out all the math...…

I was listening to my stereo on the way home and stopped to get some pizza and waited in the car with the stereo on. I decided to not be a prick and I turned the sub off. I missed the bass so I turned my HPF off at the HU, which I usually have set at 63, and the mids actually do pretty well with the bass. I turned it back on and set it at 50Hz and it wasnt bad but theres so much bass im missing with it on. I am going to continue running the HPF at 63 when I have the sub on, but the times I turn the sub off I would like to disable the HPF to the mids to get some bass back. Im currently running alpine PDX series amps with One Alpine Type R 15. It's nice but not really as loud as I like it. The amps are PDX 1000-1 and PDX-100-4, The sub right now is in a 2 cubic foot box sealed. My question is, will i be able to fit 1 18 inch ascendant audio havoc in my trunk? I will be running the Sundown 1500 for this sub. Any thoughts or better suggestions would be great. Im not dead locked on the 18, I could also consider 2 15's in the havoc series. As you can see I have a 2002 lincoln ls, no spare tire or any trunk material in the car, So the entire trunk can be used. Will the 18 inch havoc be able to perform in this tight space?

Ok I am planning on getting 2 Fi BTLs Dual 1Ohm, and running them to a Sundown 3500D, but I seen the Mayhems and started thinking, I know you cant really hear the difference, but Im looking for the most, should I get two Dual 1 and run them to a 4500D? the box will be 2.5^3, 32-34hz IDEALLY. Electrical will be big 3, not sure if I 1 or 2 XS3100s, should run around 13+V(you get the point), 220A HO alt. Budget : $7500, gotta love the army bonuses.

Any one think there is a better quality and sounding sub out there for the price.

I'm looking for a decent sub that i could possibly find on the internet for cheap with no warranty or anything. This sub is temporary so i'm not concerned about the sub blowing in a short amount of time; i just need it to last until this summer. I'm concidering buying 2 kicker cvr 12's...they are like $80 a piece...does anyone know of a sub that would be better around the same price range maybe $20-$50 more expensive btw i have a box that is like 2.5 cubic feet per chamber and the port is tuned to 33 hz according to an online tuning calculator

I guess I don't know much about this subject. I did a quick search on here and didn't find all the info I was looking for on the questions that I've had lately. To my understanding, it's just the natural frequency of the sub. I'd like to know a little more than that. Recently I saw a topic where some 8's with ~38hz FS were for sale and someone described them to play really low on music, how nice they are for music, on and on. I didn't know if these subs were meant to play lower than 38 hz or if those people just called +38hz 'low'. My gf just bought a car and I'm helping her set up a system in it. I have an enclosure for a 15 that is 3.5 cubes tuned to 34hz. Would that be ok for a Level 2 15 being powered by about 500 - 600 watts?

after doing some research on the internet, i end up with these three choices for my component speakers. i want a component with good sq that could hit hard. and please disregard the price comparison of the speakers. i want to know which would perform best.. TIA

I'm looking into some new speakers for the rear spot in my ride (I have only stock as of now), although I have gone all kicker as far as the other speakers so far I want to throw either some Infinity or polk audio in the rear. I guess my question is what are better (or how are they different) Kappa or Reference style speakers?? Also I may scrap the whole Infinity/Polk idea and just go with some 6' Alpine type R's, but I've heard they have issues with the tweeters can anyone confirm?
