So I am struggling on choosing a tweeter that's going to fit my head units power capabilities, and if the ohm load that the tweeter is will majorly affect my vehicles audio performance. My favorite tweeter that I am looking at is 8 ohms, and RMS's at 50 watts with a 1300-20000 frequency range, but will this tweeter perform fully off my deck if its asking for 50 watts at 8 ohms? another tweeter RMS's at 15 ohms, but has a 4 ohm impedance with a 3500-25000 frequency range....would i be better off with this because it more matches the RMS wattage of my head unit? lastly, I found another tweeter that surpasses all others in that it is 4 ohms, but requires 100 watts RMS....wou…

Hey guys, new to the forum. Curious if the Icon 15 will go back in production? I used to have an Icon 12, I had it in my shed during switching vehicles, unfortunately it ended up missing along with my whole shed during a hurricane lol I loved the sound of it. Since then Ive been running an old 2010 Fi SSD 12 I had sitting around, in a ported enclosure tuned to 32 hz. Im looking to do a little upgrade, was wondering if the 15 Icon will ever come back? Is it worth getting the Gcon 15 instead?

Nick can explain it better, and has in other threads. but the VC makes a weird noise at high excursions do to a bad chrome job and it leaking onto the pole,etc. But this will not be presant in the 15s when produced. I don't know what to choose for my 07 yaris sedan soundstream LOS 6.5 component $235 Soundstream Xtream Component $188 Focal Access 1 component $224 Focal Polyglass Coax $217 if i go for focal should i go for the acess component or the polyglass coax because these two have the same price. Anyone heard the soundstream before?

Are these 2 dd3512e pretty much maxed out at 144.5 db? Trunk setup on aq3500d (old one). Is this possible to get them louder?

I currently have a hifonics 1500.1 and a Fi bl 15. As I was listening to it today, the sub cut out and started to make a crackling noise. When I turned the volume down really low, the bass became normal again, but then I tried to turn the volume up a little it began to make the crackling noise again. Duly think I could have blown the coils? Could it be a rca problem? Could the wires in the box come loose? Any feedback is appreciated, thank you.

Suggestions? I'm not really sure what I want to do. I was thinking along the lines of one 1000w or better per coil if the price is right. Full wall or half wall, I'm not sure yet but it will not be a trunk car and that's for damn sure. I can get batteries and alts etc not worried about that part. I've been checking into custom fabricated drivers but I'm not sure this particular person can make a 4000w+ quad coil. No particular reason for the quad coils or four amps.. just have a thing for the number four. Its even and featured on the common dice..

why does my xcon sound like crap? i put it in a 1.5 cubic foot sealed subwoofer box with polyfil running it off a crescendo BC2k amp, subsonic on like 30 hertz and low pass on around 60-70hz it doesnt sound like its hitting the notes right at all sounds really cheap actually , like something is hitting a wooden box i previously had the 2 10inch alpine type r's in a custom ported box at 39 hertz (same radio, same amp, same settings) and it sounded WAYYYY louder, cleaner, better is it an absolute MUST to get a custom ported box for it? the sealed box i got TEMPORARY till the summer when i build my custom ported box at 32 hertz, 2.5 cubic feet. its a Belva 12 inch…

im seeing some great reveiws for this cheap set of comps. the stock locations in the doors is a 5.25 and i can get the pg rds-5cs for 80$ shipped. i havent found a set of 6" anywhere but i did find a 6.5" set on ebay for 120$. is 40$ worth the money? will the difference in size make much difference? does anyone have a better price for the 6.5" or 6"? id like the added midbass but for another 40$ idk if i wana spend that on speakers or the amp... im also not sure if i can get the 6.5" in the door. the 5.25s are mounted in a plastic (not sure how to describe it..) extrusion in kind of like a kick... but anyways there is hole behind that plastic thing which may, along with…

I'm gonna be gettng a new system in a few months, after I save up the money, (had a single alpine type R, sold it to get some cold cathodes, currently got 8 under my seat and dash), and I want to go with RE. My wallets liking the SE, But part of me wants to get the SX's. My question is, Will there be a noticable differance between the SE's and the SX's? I will be running 2 12's in a ported box. I just installed my new IA 6.5s comps (2 sets) using the rear 2 mid bass only, they are on the IA 6.4 amp, they sound really good but when I try to get the right mid bass coming thru one has a pop to it, and they are just not as loud as I think they should be,so I am looking into the rainbow CS 265.25 just wandering if anyone here as any experience with them , and are they louder than my current set up,I am also using a death row 12 in a sealed box( yes sealed ) and it sounds great it does not miss a beat it is in a 1.34 cu box , any suggestions would be appreciated , 2000 celica

4 LV518s and 1 hifonics amp, did a 159.6, not to bad. the loudest its been befor with just the 1 amp in there with other woofers ive tryed is 158.6 so +1 db =]

Hi guys I recently had recommendation for a 15 inch BL , but i was thinking about an xcon . Which is deeper and louder off a 1500d ,and any box and tuning suggestions. even open to other suggestions in brand or size.Set up is for a dodge durango.One other question I see alot of recommendations for Sundown amps are they clearly the best in performance and power, or is it the great customer service I hear about. I am working on sealed for my 15 as we speak. Anyone come up with one that's 3.5 cubes at 27 that will fit in a trunk? My box will measure 16 x 14.5 x 31.5 and end up being the 3 cubes after bracing and displacement Just looking for other good ideas for a box that would work for me and maybe help others who haven't decided on what their doing yet. and.... Help be decide which sub's is better for my project. I want to do a blow through in a 2006 ford f-150 super crew. This past weekend I heard two addictive audio aa15v3 in a ford ranger, it sounded really good.But, I have never heard a Fi BTL. What do you guys think? What is a better sub? Has anyone heard both sub's? The only think that draws my attention of the addicive audio is that it has a warranty for three years, and I don't know if Fi has any warranty or not.

I am looking for some high quality, high efficiency, 2 ohm 6 1/2 components for my GTO. They will be running off of a US Amps USA-4300x. Sound quality is most important with output being a very very close second (hence wanting 2 ohms and high efficiency). So, any suggestions for high quality (in sound and build), high output 6 1/2's? if i have two dual 4 ohm subs going into a 1 chanel mono amp..what would be the diference with wiring paralel as opose to just hooking up one voice coil to another negative to negative positive to positive and then hooking to the amp

I need some help I just bought a 1500d and would like to run it at 1ohm but I only want 1 sub. 1 12 or 15 that I can run sealed that can take 1500wrms. I still want a good sounding sub. what is the cutout diamater for the sub, and what would be the cutout diamater for the 2nd baffle if i wanted to have the flush mount going on. i was originally gonna do 3.5 cubes ported, but i would need to do a build in for that, and with no heat in the garage, i am not gonna do it till sping. so i ended up going chosing to go 2.5 cubes sealed.
