Subwoofers / Speakers

I'm looking to upgrade my current set up , which is 2-RF T110D4's sealed box under back seat. Want SQ and output. Going in a 99 silverado 3 door. I really don't want to get JL's , I'm trying to get something in my area that no one else has, but also sounds good and maybe out do the (JL's and Kicker, memphis) stuff. I e-mailed FI, but no response, don't want to deal with company who doesn't respond back to me. I will be buying rockford amps as soon as I know what subs I will be getting. Will be in ported box.

is there a recone kit available for a MAW 15? got coils rubbing. thanks in advance, Dave

I did some searching all over the net and here and really didn't see anything much on MB Quart stuff. I am checking out components to pair with a sundown amp in the future and MB Quart kinda caught my eye. I know they were good in the past when they werent owned by maxxonics and have heard mixed reviews since their merge. I am kinda wishy washy with what i actually wind up doing but i am looking for comps for the front to replace the ones i have no, 6.5's, my rear doors have midbass which i want to replace with a second set of comps and my rear deck is compose of 2 6x9's which i want to swap out for 2 midbass addons. Ok so i was looking for a couple of 10 inch subs that don't cost too much but still can do the job with no problems. 500w RMS each and good sound plus some good excursion. Then i find this sub. Now i know Phoenix Gold is not the best out there but these things look pretty solid. I was planning on buying some Fusion comp's but I decided to go with Infinity REF6020CS for $60 Shipped. My question is just to make sure these were a good choice for comp's? Any feedback is appreciated, thanks. _George

alright, system consists of pioneer premier DEH-600UB, hifonics BXi1208D pushing 3 ppi PCX102's in 3.5 cubes at 35Hz (when I build the box, lol), no rear speakers I am going to get a small 2ch amp for the front speakers and disable the internal amp in the HU, but if I buy comps, the doors will not be deadened right away, and will probably only be some ~75 dollar comps like some alpine type s, phoenix gold, etc... and the amp will only be giving them anywhere from 60-100 watts per channel at 4 ohms. coax's would be mounted in doors as would the midbass and tweets would go on the door panels right by the dash. should I just get coax's and amp them right away? get comps an…

Hello, and thanks in advance for your answers or comments! . ok. i have an older style fi btl 18 fully loaded. i blew it. i have it taken apart and the ring where the foam lip is located is completely clean. 1st question. 1. what is the best method to remove the leftovers from where the spiders were. ( about 1/4 inch of spider and alot of glue) i tried to use a dremel tool but it made bad odors that i didnt think would be good to breath in. i also tried a metal brush in my drill "was going VERY slow" and a knife didnt work well either 2. what type of glue do you use when you recone and is it something i can pick up at any hardware store? 3. is this something not to har…

hey guys i need some ideas i was going to run an 18in solo x in about 9cub box tuned to 35hz on a daily run and ive heard storys that the solo x cant really deal with daily pounding so i need some ideas on someother subs that will put me in the same range in output as the solo x and just a little bit better SQ then what the kicker puts out any ideas??

I am looking for a decent sq sub that also has spl that will work fine for a daily driver, prob is gonna be in a slot ported box made to specs by me. Doesn't matter how many watts its gonna be, I'm gonna buy the sub then buy a amp to match the sub, looking for 300-400 range for price. iI had some idea's like a BTL possibly? looking for a set of components still someone help me i have an 2002 s-10 i have a pioneer head unit re sx ten inch sub and an usamps md1d amp. ill probably be using a kac-723 kenwood amp for the components. not sure how far i would take it modification wise ill probably use mid bass in the regular spot and then tweeter in the a pillar or very top of door panal budget for the components are about 250 im a beginner but my dad is alot better than me ill probably be using mdf and fiberglass just depends on what works best i listen to everything rap rock country dont matter only had the coasixals havent heard many components only at car shows a few years ago no real goals…

my subs where working fine befor i remove them i put them all back and i got a horrid noise comeing from the back. its late to night so i really couldent look at them. but it sounds like metal radlling but not exatly do subs make that noise. it all most sounds like there blown but still pound. idk its late got my car all back to geather lets hope all is good and its just something lose right....

How much do you guys think a 2.8 ohm dvc, Onyx 12" sub in perfect condition is worth?

My friend wants an 18 in his jeep and I wanted to know how do the 2 of there 18" subs compare.. He wants a good sub for cheap so I told him Mach 5 was the way to go.

So i am just wondering wat everyone thinks about the re xxx components? I've heard reall good things about them, i want to buy thoes but i allso like the zapco competition series and i don't know wat to get. So wat should i do buy the RE audio speakers or the zapco speakers. Allso if u have other good quality type of speaker u know of let me know i will look into those too.

which sub can get loud with maintaining good sq and which is just overall better. ill be gettin 2 12's they'd be goin in a 4 cube box tunned to 32hz. either would be runnin on a aq2200d amp. so any input?
