Subwoofers / Speakers

Does anybody have any experience with this subwoofer? I managed to pick one of these up on craigslist and couldn't find much information on it other than that it is SSA. It is VERY heavy and seems bigger and stiffer than my HDC3 18. I plan on building a new box for it since the one it came with seems small. I bought this because I wanted to put the HDC3 in a car application but most advised it would not fit with the space I had.

im looking for a nice 2 way active set to run, they are going to be powered by 2 Gladius w. For SPL use only what in your opinion is the best 12" sub for comp. use and what type of power will they take.

I noticed Mach 5 Audio is now offering a MJ18-PR. Are there more sizes to come? I dig the box Mark made with a IXL 15 and the MJ18-PR. Dreaming out loud. I'd like to build a box with 3 IXL 10's firing up and 3 rear firing 10" PR's for my stang. Hint, hint, make a 10" PR. Keep the excellent products coming.

They only good looking one i could find were the Focal 165A3. Are these any good? or can you suggest any thing else. I can get the focal for about $250 so nothing over $300 thanks

i currently have 1 dc xl 15... should i buy a second one and do the wall or should i keep this one save the money for more power and do a slot or aeroport box in the trunk no backseat or just sell it for something better

ok first off i have 2 maw 15's in a sealed box.. not the loudest setup but it sounds damn good! anyways i have a few things i have been thinking about trying.. 1) 2 external aero ports (tuned to 30hz)(size? amount?) the box is 5.7 cu ft (inside the wood) not sure o sub displacement.. and option 2) i just use one maw 15 and port it to 30 hz.. which would get the loudest? ok and just today my subs quit playing the beat of the music and had a really faint thump that kept going.. the speakers in my car were still fine. im thinking its something with my rca's.. also b4 this happened my sub would go into what i thought was protect mode. when i woud start my car for the first ti…

would the dc level 4 still sound good in a sealed box ?

So i was thinking of 2 15's fi bl but it seems i will not be able to build the proper box. Don't want to spend money on good subs just for the box to be crap. So i was thinking of 12's. What do i suffer from by getting 2 12's?

Hi guys, my first post. Anyways, I currently have 3x MB Quarts PW 302 subwoofers powered by a Rockford Fosgate 1501BD mono amp running at 1.3 Ohms stable. The problem is, I really don't like the sound quality / bass from the MB Quart subwoofers. Now I'm considering replacing them for 3x 12" SI D2 subwoofers. Will I be better off with those subwoofers? And are they better with bass and tight response in contrary to the MB Quart subwoofers? I mostly listen the following music: Techno, hardtrance, hardstyle and hardcore. Which all need a good low/deep bass but still very accurate and responsive. Help please. Thanks.

i searched and i saw posts that say 1/2 volume for 30 min ppl say 2 days 1 1/2 hour each day 15 out of 35 volume. no break in (that is BS i think). witch is best? i have a hifonics running 1000@1Ohm. i was going to do volume 15 out of 35 on my alpine w200 for 2 hours listing to randome stuff. maybe even let the car run and watch some tv for a few hours. should i listen to very bass intence music at low volume? like visionsofthefuture.mp3, ResponseTest.mp3, SubBassEffects.mp3, BassCheck.mp3, ect. all from http://realmofexcursion.com/

OK guys I need your expertise and experience. I have been looking into these and I have been hearing completely differnt opinions. So what I'd like to know is... -How is the SQ? (I know the SPL pounds) -How big of a box have you guys been using?(ive heard that they need a bigger box than reccomended on the site) How many watts have you guys been runnin to them? I'm not planning on getting any (way too much for my needs) but has anyone dealt with splc subwoofers? They seem pretty legit. Just wondering if anyone has first hand experience with them. I see a craigslist posting for two splc neo 10" subs almost every other day(along with a stetson 7k and some battery's) for $2000. Either way, who has dealt with these bad boys and has videos?

I know how useful caps are (or rather aren't) in a vehicle, but how about a smaller application, like my backpack? Hey guys..im having a little trouble with my sub right now..right when i start the car up, everything is fine..but after a little while it seems like the sub gets quieter. Sometimes it will play normal for 5-10 mins, and sometimes it will only last for a minute of less. I have no idea what could be causing this. Anyone have an idea?
