i just got the car not to long ago and put some cheap audiopipe subs in they get a little bit loud buit really sloppy i plan on getting a HO alternator and some batts. not sure about the mids and tweeters i will buy those after sub and amp right now ive been looking at the nightshade xcon icon and AA havoc i want to get a single 15 or 12 possibly 10 im listen to almost everything i want it to hit lows i have been saving ive got about $400 for the sub and i am planning on saving for a new amp to power the sub any inputs would be great, are there any other subs that might be good to check out ?

after about 8 months of playin my hifonics Goliath 1600 on a hifonics brutus 2000d, the spider has loosened out. no ripping it just came off clean. since the sub was put in the car at lower frequencies a smell was givin off smelling like the newness coming out. but it has been doin it since. sub is out waiting to repair. any theories on the smell?(not burning smell) and has this happened to anyone else with hifonics products?

Subs Well there you go... 56k beware tho.. at the end i turn it up a little more.. sadly when i was mountin my 12" back in my box i accidentally slipped and the screw driver went through the soft part... of the cone.. using silicon to fix it tho.. hopefully when i get back from a 5 month vacation nick will recone it for me... atleast i hope so if not i guess ill have to buy 4 15"s and wall it?? or just put em in th eback of my car

Ok so im thinking about cuting holes in my door panel for my 6.5s Apline type R's So i can show the grills instead of leavingthem in the factory spot (08 Pont G6) . i plan on using a hole saw, would there be a better tool for that instead? and if i do that then i think the sound and performance of them will og down without some type of addend or extra install to go with them, especially with that small space between the door panel and the factory location, what could i do to ensure the SQ of them and performance? sound deadening maybe? or what could i put to fill that gap and etc.

Hello everyone i'm looking to get some 8 inch midbass speakers for my doors, something that plays between 80hz and 1600hz, something that has alot of midbass and that sound good, i have aset of diamond audio hex 6 inch speakers right now, love the way they sound but they bottom out when putting too much power to them. i will be fiberglassing the bottom part of the doors to make the 8 inch mids fit. I'm looking for some mids that will handle some good power around 185 watts rms, P.A speakers are ok too. Just picked up a 18" dual 1 ohm SSA Icon and have it in a 3 cube sealed enclosure now. Looking to optimize this woofer with the right box and design. It is wired to 2ohms on a JL 1000.1 Slash v1. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.

what should i do?

I need a class D amp for my mag15 (since I can't find a PPI PC2350). I am looking for 1000-1500 watts at either 1ohm or 4ohms. I have a PG Tantrum 1200.1 but it sucks my elec system dry and I want to get a Class D amp to help out on my elec system some. So if anyone has any recomendations please add them here. also: FS: PG Tantrum 1200.1

so ive been recently looking at two subs the fi ssd and ascendant audio arsenal both 12" what is the big difference between these two? i know that the fi take 800wts and the arsenal 500wts and their mounting depths are close.

good news for me. seems like there will be an re audio and adire audio in romania which one of adire's or re's subs competes to the rl-i 10 ? seems to me like koda 10 would be a contender in the rl-i price range... i have to talk to the dealer, maybe he can find a way to import an ss *fingers crossed*

Box is small,.6-.75 and is sealed.I know that it won't give out the sort of output like a ported would,but I don't have room for a huge box.Looking for a mix of loud and good sound if that is possible.600rms @2ohm on hand. $150 price,give or take a few bucks.Thinking I can get a decent used one.

Hey guys, so I am making a LOUD daily pounder with a good possibility for competition. I keep reading stuff about adding midbass up front. At the moment I am planning on running 4 12's (either havocs or BLs) in the back off of about 6k watts total (probably 2 sundowns for amps). I am lookin at RF 5.25" comp sets for the doors (at least up front), more than likely an entire set per side, 1 speaker+tweet in the door and one in the A-pillar. Will I be needing midbass??? And if so, is it okay to put that in something like a kick panel instead of doing MAJOR refab work to the door?

wondering how and if the BM would be a good choice to put in a HT setup? I am going to build a sub for my HT soon and am looking for a good woofer. I LOVE my mag, absolutely LOVE IT! and am anxious to get one of the new ones most likely. But lets hear it, would the BM do the job right for HT?

im planing on putting 2 icon 15's in the back of my explorer... what kinda mids and highs would i need to keep up with the bass? i've only done like small setups before so im not sure what kinda speakers i need, i dont have much of a price range, just wanna make sure my money is spent well and not something crappy. i wanna run them to a sundown 100.4. and suggestions? im looking for a nice 2 way active set to run, they are going to be powered by 2 Gladius w. Have a question about which voice coils to go with, dual 1ohm or dual 2 ohm? The dual 2ohm will give me a 1ohm load which is 1200wRMS from the 1200d while dual 1 ohm will give me a 2ohm load which is 870wrms. The sub is "rated" at 1000wrms but I have watched a bunch of videos and alot of people have written about giving them alot more power. So my question: Do I play it safe and go with the 870wrms or can this sub handle the 1200wrms without being damaged? Thank you.

im getting one next week hopefully, and i have a box that was built for my 9512g... its 2^3ft @ 38hz with 35^2in of port....will it work well in that box and still retain decent sq?

i need a 15" sub for around $200.00 or lower that can handle 500w @2ohm and likes ported box. its going in a older accord so room is not that big of a deal. im thinking pf a box around 3.4 - 4 cuft after displacement tuned to around 36hz or so. the sub needs to be new so start giveing me idea's on sub's. im trying to use something new that i never used before so i can hear a new sub.... jamie
