I have a 08 Tundra that I want to push two 10's in a ported enclosure the SD's would save me some space but my issue is I don't mind losing some leg room for the SA's but will my Arc Audio 2500 XXK at 1150 watts of clean power be enough to push SA's? or will It push the SD's more efficiantly. In other words what is better for this amp SD's or SA's this thing is new in the box I've had it lying around for a while it's a good amp and my budget can't afford a newer more powerful one

Hey everyone just wondering what kinda frontstage you all have with your mags? I was thinking of going with set of xxx mids and horns, or maybe do you think 2 sets of xxx mids would go with them better? I'll be running 2 12's sealed off an Orion2500D (2ohms) btw...

  5. Not sure if this has been asked before. But I have been considering going with a 15" mag. I know ported is louder. I am just wondering how much or if you loosing power handling going ported. I know that different size sealed boxes do change your power handling. Smaller boxes will require more power do to the compression the speaker is under when it pulls back for a bass hit. Also thinking about going with 34hz tune if I do go ported. What amp would guys recommend for a setup like that and i dont plan on going to a bass comp. But wouldn't mind having the power to show off once in a while.

I currently have a hifonics 1500.1 and a Fi bl 15. As I was listening to it today, the sub cut out and started to make a crackling noise. When I turned the volume down really low, the bass became normal again, but then I tried to turn the volume up a little it began to make the crackling noise again. Duly think I could have blown the coils? Could it be a rca problem? Could the wires in the box come loose? Any feedback is appreciated, thank you.

So my 2 mags are finally installed, but they don't sound right at all. And it's bc I'm an idiot. :thud: I think the gains are too low, but I need to know what the gain knob is on a tantrum 1200.1. Is it the sensitivity knob? And does the gain go higher as you turn it from .2 to 4. It is on .2 now, and it sounds terrible, like everything is just rumbling together. The kick drums don't sound right at all. I don't hear a distinct punch for each kick. I know it has something to do with the amp settings, bc these are magnums we are talking about. Also, I was driving around last night, and my lights didn't dim or blink at all, so that may be indication that the gains …

Hi guys, my first post. Anyways, I currently have 3x MB Quarts PW 302 subwoofers powered by a Rockford Fosgate 1501BD mono amp running at 1.3 Ohms stable. The problem is, I really don't like the sound quality / bass from the MB Quart subwoofers. Now I'm considering replacing them for 3x 12" SI D2 subwoofers. Will I be better off with those subwoofers? And are they better with bass and tight response in contrary to the MB Quart subwoofers? I mostly listen the following music: Techno, hardtrance, hardstyle and hardcore. Which all need a good low/deep bass but still very accurate and responsive. Help please. Thanks.

So I was getting ready and doing some research about my new truck before I bought speakers and I found an interesting fact........ I have a new 2014 F150 and it has rear speakers, door speakers and tweeters. Door speakers get the full channel, tweeters also get the full channel with a capacitor or resistor to cancel the low frequencies. There is no factory cross - over. I am not going to amp this set of speakers because I am concerened about my hearing listening to loud music all the time. Anyways so all I was going to do was replace the door speaker with a coax speaker and replace the tweeter with just a better one. Will I get too much high range with a coax speaker …

Correct me if I'm wrong, is it true that the more X-Max a sub has the louder it'll get sealed? If so, has anyone tried the FI Q series subs sealed yet? 27mm sounds like a really good amount of excursion. Was wondering because a friend of mine is considering a pair of them sealed with a 2000 - 2500 watt amp and he prefers sealed setups and wants a loud sealed setup with good SQ.

  20. Hello all. Hope you`re all doing fine I strill haven`t had a chance to alter the Escort install. But I have been messing about with my vectras boot install. Check this out: See this weird box... 6th Order bandpass or simply a tunnel in a boot. This box is far better than any box I have ever made It plays low. It plays loud. It plays a very wide musical frequency with accuracy and is practically flat in it`s overall frequency response. O.K. The system specs. Vectra Sri - Boot System. 1x HMM Box- That`s what I`m calling it - After the ideas from a guy called Henry & Mazdawg & Me making the thing to see what happens. 1x SPLd S-1200d (1200wrms @ 1ohm) 2x Brand n…

I posted this someplace else but you guys seem to know Parts Express pretty well from my brief experience here! I have an 8" subwoofer from a 2001 Suburban with a completely disintegrated foam surround. Voice coil still works and spider is intact. The speaker is 2 ohms and sees about 50 watts from the amplifier. It sits in a small sealed box, around 0.5 cu ft. Thats about all I know of it. Parts express has many options to choose from. I want as cheap as possible since this vehicle is getting sold and I'd like it to have a fully working radio. If it was mine, it would be getting two 18s about now! Any ideas guys?

My 96 Saturn SL2 has no trunk so I was going to move to infinite baffle to gain trunk space. I currently run a Zapco Ag650 pushing Image Dynamic HLCDs, 6.5s, and a pair of Aura Bass shaker Pros under the seats. My subs are currently Orion HCCA 12D4s driven by a Mark Antony MK2500D and according to my amperage draw and ohms law it tops out around 1600 watts. I may be reducing equipment to cut down on the room taken up. My wife has children and we are expecting twins. I have an Audiocontrol Epic-160 in the dash to dial down the bass on the subs. I am hoping the bass shakers give me the bump I want to feel without being to much for the family. I am considering either using a…
