Subwoofers / Speakers

How would you best characterize the IXL series of subs? Made to be accurate? Made to get loud? Somewhere in the middle? Reason that I'm asking is I'm looking for a sub for a small sealed box to integrate with a system built with musical accuracy in mind.

I have a single cab 2008 Chevy Silverado with 2 Memphis 12's but have them in a tiny box. I've been looking for 10's that would suit my needs and have been thinking about 1 Fi SSD 10" but now might go ahead for 2 Mach5 Audio IXL 10's. Are these subs good?(Quality & Loudness). How big should each sub get tuned to 34 Hz? Thanks in advance!

So I have been tossing around a few ideas. 1st I am thinking of running 2 IXL 10's in a center console, vented enclosure tuned to 32hz (not sure what cuft would be best?) these would be run off my 1200.1 Tantrum @ 2 ohms The goal of this set up is to save some space over my current set up while maintaining similar output. My current set up is a single TC sounds 15 3k 3.2ft^3 tuned to 32hz. (I love everything about this set up, just wanting to try something new) The space I would like to stay in for this new set up would be 20" high x18"wide x 24"depth subs and port both facing back. what would be the optimal cuft and port area? so that is the 1st and most practical set up…

Alright guys.... decided im going to try sq (me doing sq is... new ) I am REALLY wanting to use the ixl 10's in a sealed box (3 10's, actually) Mark recommended .5 cuft sealed each. now, how much power per sub would be needed? is 500 each enough? more/less? Any other suggestions? comments?

Just ordered can't wait for it to arrive. It's gonna be in center console of my Dodge 2500 Quad Cab Diesel. Does anyone have experience with this driver ported? Please share your thoughts. I've read the reviews of IXL just seeing if anyone else has any thoughts.

What is the mounting depth for the mach 5 IXL 12, and is why is the sd on this woofer smaller that most other 12" woofers

Hey I was wondering where and how can i get a recone in Australia for my IXL 12", as i blew it up a couple of days ago?? do you guys stock the IXL v.1 parts and do i have to send it to you guys to recone it, or because i actually bought it from Affordable Drivers (Distributor In Aus) can i send it to them to recone it if they have the parts?? or if they dont have the parts and you guys do, can you send the parts to them and they can recone it? or even can Digital Designs recone it for me with the right parts provided by either you guys or Affordable Drivers because Digital Designs are pretty major in Aus and they do recones here for their drivers so they'd know how to fix…

are the ixl 15s more of a spl sub? Whats a good amp to power it?

soo i just ordered me one... waiting for it to go threw and get shipped then i gotta see if im gettin a new car to put it in what do these subs like box wise and tunned to what hz? ive got a 10 type r in a ABC box on 1500rms soo what can i expect from this sub?!

just a question before i buy Sealed - 70 litres (2.5 cu. ft.) Ported - 84 litres (3 cu. ft.) 28Hz tuning do these include the driver and port volume, the driver looks huge, and the box volumes are so small

so i just got my sundown saz1500d. in the coming weeks im going to rewire the car and grab a new sub(s). the ixl 15 looks like the best sub for the price out there, only problem is: i have about 14" of height to work with for my enclosure. however i have 36"w and 18-20"d. how would the ixl perform top firing side port in a 95 accord cpe trunk?

all i wanna know is when? im soon to be selling my clarions and i need something around the 200-250 dollar per driver range.

I have the IXL 18 Just sitting in my closet and i am wanting to put it to use. I was considering using it as a loud speaker for parties and such. Could anyone help me out with this. Like what to power it and such. I am more of a car audio guy so i don't have much experience with these kinds of things.

What would the recommended wattage be for a single 18 run in an IB set up?

Hey guys, Im looking to start a new build. Im looking for HARD hitting bass, but also the ability to play rock music well. I was originally set of AQ HDC3 18's, but came acros the IXL's. How would they compare. I live in Canada so buying froma canadian company would be nice. I plan to build a wall for whatever subs I go with behind the second row, with 3 8" aeros. What kinda tune would the IXL's like? Has anyone ever tried them, Id love to see some builds or videos!!! I have about 14 cubes to play with. I'm looking to build a serious quality HT sub that will really hit the lows, and with a FS of 15.4 hz thats enough to keep me smiling. i was thinking along the lines of a rectangular box with a 6" port and roughly 15 cubes tuned to 20 hz, what do you guys think? gives me a miniscule bump in the low 20's but keeps the f3 at ~17 hz. i was thinking 1" MDF with a double thickness front baffle, but am not quite sure how to brace it. I've got an IXL18.4 and I'm thinking about trying it in my car. I would only have 3 cubic feet of volume to work with and it would be running off of 750 watts (Audison LRx 5.1K). How would that sound? Would it be peaky? Would I be able to blend it well enough to call it musical? I appreciate all the input you can offer. I don't have a ton of spare time to experiment so if you don't think this will work well I'll probably just install the JL 12w6v2 that I was originally intending on using.

lol silly question but do the IXL series (12" to be more specific) have mach5 printed on the dust caps? Cant remember where, but I've seen pictures of the IXL's without mach5 written, on the internet On your official website it is printed on there except the 15" & 18" so just want confirmation, also do you send out stickers when purchasing your subs?

In the new year, I plan on picking up 12" IXL's and powering them off an Earthquake PHD3 (3000rms @ 1 ohm). This will all be going into a trunk setup, which will be my 139.9 bassrace machine for next season. My question is, will the IXL's be able to take the power daily?

Why is it that the IXL 10 and 12 inch subs have 1000 watt power handling ratings but the 15" and 18" are rated at 800 watts??
