ok so until i decide to go with the wall in my civic coupe and have enough money i got some new subs from scott (former engineer from RE) and he made me some SE hybrids which are SX's pretty much,i got them for 360 with shipping so i thought it was a pretty good deal.I had him custom make them into dual4 so that i could run them off my nine.1 for now until i decide to get a bigger monoblock or just wait for the whole wall thing when i have enough money.Let me know what you guys think. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h59/n8te81/newsubs1.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h59/n8te81/newsubs2.jpg

I'm wanting to know what would be the best interior speakers to swap out with my current stock ones. I have 3 different sets in my Lesabre. Dash is 4x6. Front door speaker size is 5 1/4 and the rear deck has 6x9s in it. What would anyone recommend me running? This way I don't have to do any cutting anywhere just yet. And also what kind of amp would be recommended to run these speakers off of? Appreciate everyones input and comments.

  6. Hello guys new here and I am looking to replace my JL 12W7 with a 15" Mag. I am running the 12W7 with a JL 1000/1 in a tuned enclosure(custom build to 32Hz). I am looking to increase SPL and by moving to a larger sub(Mag) using the same 1000wrms. I am pretty sure this Mag will outperform my 12w7 what do you guys think? Could you guys reccomend optimum enclosure sizes for my Dodge Magnum. I am looking to maintain SQ as the 12w7 did a good job in that sence. I am willing to give up as much room as needed in the trunk for the enclosure. I will take the reccomended specs to a pro box builder for fabrication. all input is greatly appreciated. D

I fried the tinsels on my 2005 RE XXX 12D2. I don't know where to get a re-cone or what to do with it. I was going to get 2 BTL 15's and put them in a trunk on 5000W or whatever I could afford, I don't want to buy over 1 extra battery. Can you re-cone a 12 to an 18? Would an 18 on 1500-2000 W ported (through the seat) be plenty? It would save hella on everything, I bought it for $350 and used it for a year in a 1.7 cf3 box @ 37hz, it didn't drop but it had rich and neutral sound. I don't like the tinsels being exposed, they should have sewn them into the voice coil. Can they handle 2000W? 2500? 3000? My plan was to have atleast 3000W, and more cone area than 2 12's.

hey whats up everyone. i finally got my money for my amp which is going to my mag d2 15. my question is should i get the bx1000d or the bx1500d. the sub is in a 3.3 ported box tuned to 32 and its in a daily driven car. if i go with the bx1500d am i gonna always have to worry about blowing the sub. ive noticed that alot of people are giving it 1500 watts but i saw that nick said that if these subs were rated like other subs it would be 1000wrms which is why im just making sure which amp to go with. thanks alot

ok im sorry but after reading some threads on here people need to know! all these this sub VS this sub threads are pointless unless your comparing 2 way different subs like a btl an cvr most time its gonna come down to install. i think the saying goes 90% install 10%equipment! honestly almost every sub can be made to do whatever you want if the install and overall setup is right! then people are asking which sub will have better SQ and honestly no one can answer that, 1) everyones opinion will differ on what sounds good 2) what is a good way to compare SQ again every install is different! people need to understand every speaker is just that a speaker theres not one thats …

I have already been doing some research, but am still fairly lost. I am going with a passive setup and will be using quite a few component sets and am still unsure who is really good and such. I am looking at about $300 a set roughly. As it stands now I am kinda lookin at the one of the Rockford Fosgate power comp sets to use, but I am still really unsure. Some insight would be great.

Hello everyone i'm looking to get some 8 inch midbass speakers for my doors, something that plays between 80hz and 1600hz, something that has alot of midbass and that sound good, i have aset of diamond audio hex 6 inch speakers right now, love the way they sound but they bottom out when putting too much power to them. i will be fiberglassing the bottom part of the doors to make the 8 inch mids fit. I'm looking for some mids that will handle some good power around 185 watts rms, P.A speakers are ok too. My car is a 1996 honda civic 2 door hatchback. well thanks for the replies............................. Brian

  17. I'm driving to work, all of a sudden NO bass.Well I get to work, pop the trunk and see the sub sitting upright next to box.The driver came loose from the box,I could not believe my eyes.Later that evening when I got home I screwed the sub back onto the box, turned the system on,went back to trunk, all I hear is rattling.Man I'm so pissed, anyways I emailed Nick to find out how much it would cost to fix, lets see what happens.Man I love that sub and just got the Brutus for it too, just had to let it out, thanx for listening !

hey everybody, I've narrowed down my search for 6.5" 2 way component speakers... ::Pheonix Gold RSD 65cs (60/120 watts rms/peak each) ::Massive Audio SK6 (100/220 watts rms/peak each) ::Massive Audio CK6 (130/280 watts rms/peak each) ::Massive Audio TK6 (120/270 watts rms/peak each) I'm not sure of what amp i will be powering the speakers with yet. I plan on running an Fi BTL with them so I'd like something loud enough to keep up with it. What do you think would be the best choice/why... thanks! Andrew

  21. I love my 67 mustang coupe - absolutely no room in the rear seat for passengers (just too damn small), so that's where the groceries go now that my trunk is filled with SI goodness In case you were wondering, that's a Hifonics Brutus BX1000D amp for each magnum - and then there's two Zapco Reference 350 amps (one's shown, one's hidden) for the double set of SI 307's I have in the kick pods up front, and sunk into the package tray in the rear.

Ok so im really wanting to build a system that will play the lowest of notes loud, I currently have 4 21`s, well 2 wardens and 4 ddp's, but its really hard to get all that cone area in a wall, well at least with the 4, plus I snapped two of the neck joints on the dp's do to mechanical stress on the lows. Ive been leaning towards 6 fi sp4 18's, 6 ssa evil 18's, or 8 sundown x 15's, but im havin a real hard time deciding what to use, as well as what box I should go for such as do I want 4th, 6t, or just ported. I need some insight from someone who has a system that plays brutal lows, around 20hz. Any insight would be great. I got 2 jbl crowns for power so they should be ade…
