well i could not get my dc level 4 this weekend so im looking for something else Budget - under $250 power - 1200w rms off a Directed D2400 for right now space - idk, going in the back of a riviera. lol its huge. trying to go with either a 12 or 15 thinking sundown sa12 but looking for suggestions

I have a new sub in a 3.5 ft3 box at 32 hz (Fishercustom designed) The amp is a Sundown saz 1000. My question is : do I have to play some special songs with the sub? What volume ? Low, high? Can I listen to anything without worrying, and the sub will be good in a few days ? After 2 hours it is still so hard!!! And it does play really low.

Looking at a pair of Digtal Designs 2512D sub and pair of RE SE 12 which would be the loudest and cleanest in a ported box with the right power ?

4 LV518s and 1 hifonics amp, did a 159.6, not to bad. the loudest its been befor with just the 1 amp in there with other woofers ive tryed is 158.6 so +1 db =]

Well I was talking to the guys in the hop and wondering what would be a wonderful 2-way active setup. If I get this 4 channel JBL GTO75.4 to go with my jbl 1100.1 that is. Ok well one of the two 8's I have currently is having some mechanical issues so I have opted to switch brands all together to Sundown to match my amps i currently have. Right now it has two Atomic AP8's in it and the volume I'm working with is 1.8ish i think that was before displacement give or take a little. I can knock out the ports out and make them longer if need bit but it seems to be that the overall tuning should be roughly 35 hz from what i have been reading. I would run this through my bass box pro app but i dont have it loaded on any computers at the moment could someone give me an idea of what the length of the ports im working with should be? As the topic states; anyone heard both systems or have any opinions or educated guesses on these? No doubt th 327's are awesome, but I for one miss the specks, T/S params and such on them. Probably gonna go with the 327*s anyway though, pure SI all over Any advice on where to aim the mids in kickpanels, min. volume of the kicks and such?

well got my Si Mag 12 about 5 days ago now and it rocks. I'm using it in place of my 160v.2 for right now. The 160v.2 is nice but i'm having space issues and the Mag does a very good job in place of it. Lacks a little bit of the output i had but i think two of them will do nicely. But strangest thing is, when i called them i noticed they had the same area code as me! They are like 20mins from me!! Thats awesome. I hope i can go and meet them.

So I am struggling on choosing a tweeter that's going to fit my head units power capabilities, and if the ohm load that the tweeter is will majorly affect my vehicles audio performance. My favorite tweeter that I am looking at is 8 ohms, and RMS's at 50 watts with a 1300-20000 frequency range, but will this tweeter perform fully off my deck if its asking for 50 watts at 8 ohms? another tweeter RMS's at 15 ohms, but has a 4 ohm impedance with a 3500-25000 frequency range....would i be better off with this because it more matches the RMS wattage of my head unit? lastly, I found another tweeter that surpasses all others in that it is 4 ohms, but requires 100 watts RMS....wou…

I have the MOJOs right now ran by a Hifonics Brutus 2100.d. Now i know thats not enough for them but in general with a custom box and either same amp or a saz-1500, could i get a little louder with the sundown SA-12s since ill actually be putting enough power to them? Also this would be in a 2000 ford explorer, so if anyone has witnessed a similar setup with 2 sa-12s in a explorer it would be great if you give feedback. thanks

I am in the process of selling all of my audio equipment to start off with something new. I don't change systems like I change clothes, I kept my last setup for about 2 years. The question I currently have is this.... Which setup would have more output potential on the meter... assuming I have the optimal sized box and optimal power for both set ups 1.) 12 Very low strength subs... let's just say 12 inch subs 300 watts a piece 2.) 2-4 Very high motor strength subs... let's just say 4 18 inch subs 3000 watts a piece I've never used a sub that required less than a thousand watts, and have little experience with low power small subs. Im in love with it! its not even broken in yet and it sounds deeper than my two audiopipe 15's! And i forget who said it but its does sound louder and deeper than my two 15s. But the other ones are louder on the meter. Plus its two to one. The magnet on this thing is huge (plus its 54 pounds). Can't wait til the Jan. 30 to order another one. Rusty is awesome. I'm looking for the best overall SQ and SPL, a good balance. I'm only getting one sub cus I don't really have the space for 2. But I'm getting a custom box built around 2.0 cu ft. Tuned around 33hz. I have a Rockford 1000bd-1 (birthsheet 1373rms at 14.4v) . Wired to 1 ohm. Don't say Fi Bl just because your a Fi fan, I need to know which sub is better. THanks

If i put 2 15" SI MAG D2 In my ford explorer 96. 1. how much power rms should i try to put out... 2. expected numbers i would get close to... would it be loud? cus my system of 2 10's hits 141 right now.

I tried my hand at designing my ported box for the MAW 10 that will fit behind the seat of my RCSB truck. I have decided to go to 1ft^3 as it recomended to keep things comfrotable. According to my figures using the formula on JL Audio site I reached these figures. Port is a piece of 4" PVC. Box @ 1ft^3 28" port 33.08 Hz 27" port 33.63 Hz 26"=34.20 Hz 25"=34.81 Hz 24"=35.46 Hz Is this right and which one would should I go with for my purposes as a daily driver? Hello guys, how's it going? I've been banging with my DCON 12s for a while now and am thinking of stepping up my bass output. I have the DCON's in 1.75 cubes each tuned to 33hz (that's about what I could fit). For what it's worth they have served me pretty well and I've been told my many people they pound. I have them powered by a RF T500. What I'm considering is either 1 Xcon 12 ported or 1 Xcon15 sealed or 2 Sundown SA-12's in an enclosure around the same size I currently have. Either would be powered by a Sundown SAZ-1500D V.2.

alright guys so i was pretty much set on 4 sa-10's in the trunk of my civic for my next project i want to do...until i came across the AA arsenal. I see that the arsenal works well in a smidge smaller ported enclosure which is good and also i see that the arsenal has a sensitivity of about 85db 1w/1w and the sa-10 is around 81 i believe. Not too sure how big of a difference that would be but on paper it looks pretty good haha. So my question to you all that may have had one of these or installed any is what do you think of the AA arsenal? Is it more of a sq subwoofer or is it more of a spl sub.
