Do the 3" Legatia mids have grilles available? I need to find something to fill these holes left by the 3.5" DLS Ultimate Iridiums the previous owner had and these seem to be one of the only good fits

Yep, so I just got done with my box for an Eclipse Ti 12" and wow, I could not be anymore frustrated or upset. Just wow.........It sounds like complete as*. Box is 1.25^3 net, and the sub is getting about 300 watts. It just sounds so, punchie way way way way to punchie not enough deep bass. I don't care that I lost output, I expected that but for the love of god when you go to sealed it's suppose to be SQ dam*it. I dunno, I'm about to go get some polly fill and see if that helps the problem sorry for the childish post but I'm just really upset right now.

Hey! I just found out you guys existed :-p. I was just taking a look at the Magnum 12s and I they look like they might be for me. Would a MA Audio Hk402sx be a good amp for a pair? 1800 RMS @ .5 ohm. Thanks! Alex PS. probably go with a gnome audio box :-p

  4. just got Rockford Fosgate P1-1X12 its a ported enclosure made by the manufacturer, so i assume its decent enough of a port design for the subwoofer. i know ported makes it so its more difficult to hit fast notes. but i feel it really muddles the notes together and very little separation on fast bass notes. any way to improve this? i believe the gain is set to around 75% and the low pass filter is around 100 hz. the subwoofer is rated at 250 RMS. my amp is bridged and is rated at 300 RMS for the bridge. and the subwoofer is rated at 25-250 hz. would it be better to raise the hz on the low pass filter to around 150 or 200? or should 100 be fine? …

  5. Ok well I just received my D2 from Oak244 on ca.com, I just realized he's a member on here too, and wel I need an enclosure design. Itll be powered by a Hifonics BX1205d, I listen to rock and rap just about 50/50, and I would like LSQ leaning towards the SPL side. I was thinking about doing the 1.5 cuft @ 32 hz that is recommend on the SI site but thought I'd ask for other recommendations. BTW will anyone here design a box for me? lol My old box was for a RE SX 15" external dimensions 34w x 25d x 12h tuned to 35 hz. The box was HUGE. I need my trunk so I can relocate my battery since intercooler piping for my boost project will get in the way.

I am more of an SQ guy, but now I have my D2's I am curious. My set-up is all about SQ, I don't really have the amps to spit out SPL figures, but to those that have or know of, what sort of SPL are we talking about with a set of either 12's or 15's,, I mean has anybody burnt a set yet while spanking them.. and how hard were they been spanked.. I love mine too much to chance it but it would be nice to know what has been done so far.. TIA

So im brand new to car audio and have been browsing this site as a guess for a while. I have decided on buying a maw-15(one) sub for my setup and am thinking about getting the rf p150, i am just making sure that they would work together nicely. If you have a better suggestion for an amp, i would be glad to hear, however im not looking to spend any more than the 211 dollars the rf amp will cost me. Thanks in advance

I've been looking between an XCON 15 or two Sa-12's. XCON being in a 3.5 tuned to 33hz and the Sa-12's in a 3.5 tuned to 35 hz. Either choice has the same power Saz-1500dv.2. I'm just having a tough time deciding. Both choices are around the same price. I just want an average daily system that gets very loud and sounds good doing it. It will be going in a trunk car though. Any input/personal experiences with either of the subs are greatly appreciated.

Hi ive been a lurker on this forum for awhile and yesterday decided to buy the MAW-15. I had a 12 Phoenix Gold RSd in 1.2 sealed and it didnt have enough output for my liking so i turned the bass boost up 1/4 and blew it, lol, noob mistake i know... The amp i had it running off of was the Alpine MRP-M850, gains set accordingly to 800rms. Well anyways im gonna try the MAW-15 and see what happens, i will put it in the recommended sealed enclosure of 2.2 i believe (Is that after displacement or before)? Now how much wattage can this thing take, ive heard it can do 700rms fine, some guy said he did 900 but i doubt it. Well i will have up to 800rms clean so power for it isnt a…

I just order 2 maw-15's from the sound solutions shop. I gonna run them sealed and power them with a hifonics bx1500d about 1300-1400 clean watts at 1 ohm to both of them together. How hard do you think they will hit and how loud? Im running a fi ssd ported with the same amp right now but i need more , since my car has bad cabin gain. Will this set up kill my 12 inch ssd I have now? Im trying to get my setup louder and deeper then a fi q 12 inch ported powered by a 1000 watt lanzer amp. My friend has that setup in his scion tc, and it bangs in that car. I have a 4 door sedan and decided i needed more to get as loud as his. I just hope this is what im looking for. Any Tho…

My 4x 12" baby Magnums are on their way... Not sure how I `m going to install them in the Vectra. I`m not bothered about Peak SPL and prefer to have a system that plays low frequencies very loud. I`m aiming for over 140dB @ 20Hz in a trunk / boot install. Should easily do it with an I.S.O. set up. Using 2x MMATTS amps. Each pair of subs will be getting about 1400wrms. (2800wrms) Photo`s when I get started. Got to finish the Escort 1st. Just like to thank "Sundown Audio" for all their help as well

Alright fellas, I just threw in the order for a dual 2 ohm death penalty!!!! It will be in my Ext cab Sierra in 9cubes at 30 hz with 151 inches of port area, what do y'all think? Is this a good box layout? Also it will be run off of 2 crescendo bc2000d's at 2 ohms then for shows .5 a piece strapped! Don't worry the electrical will be present when I throw them in.

  20. I have a new sub in a 3.5 ft3 box at 32 hz (Fishercustom designed) The amp is a Sundown saz 1000. My question is : do I have to play some special songs with the sub? What volume ? Low, high? Can I listen to anything without worrying, and the sub will be good in a few days ? After 2 hours it is still so hard!!! And it does play really low.

I have an sundown 1500d and wanted to know what sub(LVL 4, LVL 4/5 coils, and LVL 4XL) fits that amp the best? I may upgrade to more power in a couple years if i feel the need. Also what are the sound/musical differences and quality? This will be a daily/groundpounder. i thinking about getting a used LVL4/5coil 15" for $200 locally. I'm thinking about going with a 15". and if Rusty can send me a price for each shipped to 94579. Thanks.
