Ok, I'll put this out to those who are definitely not as technically challenged as I. I went garage-saling, and picked up a set of used Infinity Ref 6000cs's for $30. Have since tested them and work fine, just not enough base for me. I tried them in a small 1/3 cube homemade box to test them. Now, is it possible to just replace the Infinity Woofer with an MLI-65 and get much better base(sound quality and punch) with a cold swap ? There are really no "adjustments" that can be made on these crossovers except to go -3db's on the tweets. Just wondering...

Ok so i just wanted to see what would work best in the space i have which is. 16H x 38W x 28D. The depth and width can be lowered if need be. Sub choices are sundown zv4 12's - fi sp4 12's - ssa zcon n evil 12's - aa mayhem 12's - dss ethos 12's and dc xl 12's. This will be a dual set up and they will be powered by an audio legion 6.5k with a total of 4 xs power d 3100's

Hey im a little stuck between thse two setups. Fi BL 15 w/ cooling in a 3.5cf tuned to 32hz after dis. or 3 sa-8s in a 2.5 tuned to 35 hz after dis. What i want from it is low hard hitting bass. I want it to get loud but retain some sq. Loud>sq though. In terms of powering it. It will be the same amp whether i get the BL or the 8s. 1500 watts. What it will go in? 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I want to upgrade my front stage in my Durango. I was to fiberglass my doors to hold a woofer (maybe 7-8"), midbass (4-5"), and tweeter. Looking at the Goldwood brand? Any other suggestions? This will be an active setup with a seperate amp to power each different set of speakers (1 for woofers, 1 for midbass, 1 for tweeters)

anyone have any experience with memphis subs? 2-12's in sealed box. all according to spec. which would be better. hpo and d2 shp and d2 The shp is kinda expensive, so wondering if a d2 would be better? hpo is pretty cheap but does d2 blow it away? thanks.

What is the consensus on usability of the volume of air behind the red panel ? This a box for an RE SE 15, that should go in a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant, very weird trunk and it's a 2-piece box. Box height is not enough at this point but I can get it 1/2" taller, which should be good to go.

Well I was talking to the guys in the hop and wondering what would be a wonderful 2-way active setup. If I get this 4 channel JBL GTO75.4 to go with my jbl 1100.1 that is. Has anyone used one in an IB configuration in a car?

When i was out riding today bumpin, i have my volume 1/4 the way up and my subs stop playing. Last time i had this problem the power wire came out of the amplifier but not this time, all the connections was still in tact and the amp was still on. I thought it was the fuses but if a fuse was blown the amp power light will not be on.....what you guys think? i praying the subs are not blown because the volume wasnt all the way up

Well I've decided two woofers take up too much room in the back of my escape. So I'm going for a single woofer set up. At first I was thinking one Sundown Z 12, but then I saw 18s... So now I need recommendations, One woofer to replace two SA12s. My amp is a Memphis PR1.5KD. 1500w at 2 ohms, I'm unsure of any lower than 2 ohm stability. I'd like it to be under 500.

I have a 4 door true honda civic 01 and was looking to put 2 PBX 12's in it do yall think that would get crazy loud ,if so, what amp should i run to them. Im lookin to like rattle peoples house windows.

Hey guys, I'm sure this question has been beaten to death, but it's been a looongg time since I was in the market for new sound gear. I have a 15" sittin in my truck that hasn't been used in about a year since I blew out my system which included a Hifonics BX1500d pushing the mag. Sounded good and all, but now that i'm rebuilding, I don't think I need the rediculously loud setup anymore. Just something clean and tight. I'm looking at possibly the Hifonics bxi606 -- 600watt rms @ 1ohm. Think this'll get the job done? What are the best speakers for under $300? JVC and JL are my top choices so far. Any suggestions, comments, or insights would be greatly appreciated

I am looking for some mids to put in my doors and wondering if these can do the trick. Id like to use 2 in each door off a SAX100.4. Then some dome tweets on the a-pillar off a SAX50.4. Like to use SSA but these are the only "speakers" they carry. Properly installed with deadening, can these round out my system. Id love to glass the doors with a nice setup but dont have the skills or the funds right now for that. I get tired of not being able to clearly hear the vocals, guitar, drums, etc. All my truck info is in the sig. All suggestions or comments are welcome.

Ok, so yes I was one of the lucky ones to demo the prototype of this new Mag. And I "kinda" knew what to expect, though the proto 15 had some chrome problems leaking into the pole causing non 100% performance. So I did know how much better to expect from the production driver. So it came in wed. and I put it in thursday. I just completely swapped it out with my other Mag (previous version) same box, same amp, same amp settings, xover settings, same everything except the new driver.
