would 4 Hifonics HFX12D4 ported @ 30hz on a 1500d be louder than my 2 skar 12's on the same amp in a wagon.

First, let me start off by thanking this forum for dealing with all of my threads. They've honestly been all over the place. (IB, ported, sealed, etc) As you can tell I've been going from plan after plan trying to make my mind up, so I finally stripped my car's trunk today so I can make a final plan. I removed my current setup from my trunk today and took out all my panels, measured and laid out several cardboard cut outs. I can provide close to 2.5 cubes for a 15" sub. i dont know much about car audio but i have decided to buy a 18'' btl but i do not know what options to get i will never go to a competition i just want a street banger for the next 3 months i will be using an alpine v12 series 1000.1 rms at 2 ohms and will upgrade to a 2000.1 at 2 ohms i will be using this sub on a ported box every day so what options should i get?

I wanna know when you are supposed to re cone a sub woofer ?? Is it kinda just a feel kinda thing like pushing it up down and guessing if it is to loose or to go on guessing how many hours the sub has been played.

When I was planing out my current system, I almost (like had them in the cart and didn't buy) some planar transducers and glassed them up on the A pillars or in the kicks of my Yukon. I decided against them based on some things I read about the diaphragm being so fragile. I read claims about air and heat damaging the diaphragm so I decided against that. Well earlier this year i had a crossfire vr2000@1ohm around 3kw on a dd 9515g in a Pete K. designed t-line. I really like the output through a broad range of frequencies, and plan to do another t-line setup. However i think i could have made a better choice for woofers I have a 2006 nissan frontier (the bigger ones), have quite a bit of room if neccessary. Undecided on an amp to power it but will be at least 3kw with proper alt and batts. I have installed two sets of PG RSD6.5 comps with 100 watts per channel still running passive for now. i think the two sets of comps ran active would almost keep up with the system i have in mind. Hey Guys, I was wondering if anyone would know from experience why the HC's aren't put in sealed boxes that often. I seen on some forums people who want to put the HC's in a sealed enclosure, but then other people are like "no don't do that" but they don't give a reason at all. I searched and searched but haven't been about to get a real solid answer. I ask RE and they said that they don't sound bad but they don't get as boomy. Going to the shop on Saturday to get my box ready. I will go for a custom sealed box measuring 1.5 cubes. As people here already know, I am a n00b in car audio. So please I would REALLY appreciate any suggestions. What should I tell the guy to do with my box? Thickness, volume, material, etc.

I don't have amgnums yet, but I'm planning to get them soon. But I'm going to start planning and building the box. I want a ported box for 2, tuned to between 28-30. My max outside dimensions are 15.5h X 19d X 35w. How long and wide should the port be? thanks for the help

I have 2 mags 15" that is about to be installed in my explorer. Each mag is going to be fed by a hifonics 1500. What kind of box should I build for these two sub? How big and what should it be tuned to. I listen to rap mostly so I was thinking 35 hz but how big should I make it?

I just bought two 15 inch memphis mojo's that need recones. just wanted to know everyones experiences with them. And i contacted psi about reconing then but they havent replied yet. Can they do it for me? And im gonna have a box built for them. How should i get my box built for a jeep cherokee? Subs up port back? Or everything facing the hatch? Let me know!! Thanks!

I fried the tinsels on my 2005 RE XXX 12D2. I don't know where to get a re-cone or what to do with it. I was going to get 2 BTL 15's and put them in a trunk on 5000W or whatever I could afford, I don't want to buy over 1 extra battery. Can you re-cone a 12 to an 18? Would an 18 on 1500-2000 W ported (through the seat) be plenty? It would save hella on everything, I bought it for $350 and used it for a year in a 1.7 cf3 box @ 37hz, it didn't drop but it had rich and neutral sound. I don't like the tinsels being exposed, they should have sewn them into the voice coil. Can they handle 2000W? 2500? 3000? My plan was to have atleast 3000W, and more cone area than 2 12's.

I havent really been keeping up with the status of these drivers, so forgive my ignorance if its known already but i was wondering if you all still had some of these in stock. And if you are close to selling out. Reason being, as stated before, im going to get rid of my Magnum 12s and get a pair of the 15s. I just dont know how long it woud take me to sell my 12s. And i didnt want to end up selling my 12s, just to be too late for the 15 d2s. Also, would 900W Rms be efficient enough for a magnum 15? Just put my 15D2 in, 3.8 cubes tuned to 30 hz. words simply cannot describe it. this sub is PERFECT. louder than my 4 ED 12K's, hits more accurately, just beats the cr*p out of you. I am simply amazed. Nick (and all others associated with this project), you have done an astounding job. I don't think I'll ever buy another sub again. Just threw it in facing backwards to test it out a bit and measure against my last setup. gonna go try it forwards now, like how I had planned to set it up.
