Hello again. O.K. I`m a DD user who`s about to jump ship. I have 4x PowerBass XA-3000D amps. Use to compete in dB drag Street "C" Anyway. I`m fed up now cos all I can do is turn up at a show, BURP & that`s it, battery charging again. So I`m ripping out my boot install & now want to have a No-Wall install using 4x S.I. Magnum 15" in a ported box tuned to 27Hz or so. I want some STREETBASS again A few questions though. Can the Magnums take a PowerBass amp each? I was actually planning to use just 2 PowerBass amps to power the 4x Subs. If they can take one amp each that would be something. Bear in mind that I want to turn up at a show & play the system LOUD &am…

I'm trying to decide between a pair of 12s for sealed operation. As most of you know I had an Icon 15. My girlfriend just got a new Nissan Murano and I gave it to her to start her system with. The 15 was just taking up too much space in my trunk not to mention I've been missing having a sealed setup. I have always favored sealed setups with a pair of 12s and need help deciding between these pairs. BTW, I may also hook her up with my amp in favor of picking up a new SAE-1000D. 2 Audiopulse Epic 12s 2 Mach5Audio IXL-12s 2 JL Audio W6v2 12s

Hello everyone i'm looking to get some 8 inch midbass speakers for my doors, something that plays between 80hz and 1600hz, something that has alot of midbass and that sound good, i have aset of diamond audio hex 6 inch speakers right now, love the way they sound but they bottom out when putting too much power to them. i will be fiberglassing the bottom part of the doors to make the 8 inch mids fit. I'm looking for some mids that will handle some good power around 185 watts rms, P.A speakers are ok too. My car is a 1996 honda civic 2 door hatchback. well thanks for the replies............................. Brian

I recently picked up a 2006 Pontiac GTO and it has a weak factory stereo. It comes factory with a 6.75" sub in the rear deck, but it is just terrible. I want to replace it with a nice 8" woofer that is still free air capable. I am not looking for something that will be just as loud as possible, I want something that sounds clean, since this is still my daily driver and I just want it to sound good. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks

hey kids im back, i have a crescendo audio s1500.1 ( one of like 6 ppl in america) that will power the 12. it'll go in a ported box tuned to 28hz and running at 1 ohm. i listen to rap and so-called 'RnB', i also have alota slowed and throwed/chopped songs. for the box, i would like the dimensions to be 13.5 inches high, 13-14 inches deep and 26-30 inches long ( idk what that comes out to) but after displacement i would the sub to have 1.5 -1.7 cuft to itself. nonetheless, the smaller the box the better. i also have a kenwood HU and i know the volume goes up to 34. i would like the sub to kick ass at 14/34 (if that could be done 17/34 would be the loudest i would listw…

Hey guys , So , I bwew up one of my tweeters (playing with my x overs while at high volume , I know its stupid!) and since I'm changing I want to adress a annoying door-resonance I've got @ 2,5khz , I've had a peerless 830987 3inch fullrange paired with a 7inch before and I liked it , but I want better/more highs system consists of an Alpine 117r1 along with the h100 processor , an Becker energy400 4x100Wrms amp , AA havoc carbons mounted in the doors and in the back an AA SMD 18d2, 6.2cuft tuned to 27hz at the moment but tuning will change in near future. Alright, as the topic says, I'm looking for a component set for my Thunderbird. I currently have a pair of Infinity Kappa coaxial speakers in it. They are 6x8 and that is what my bird is designed for. I'm looking to spend no more that $250 on a set. They will be powered by a RF P400.4 amp. I have no problem fabricating some MDF size reducers if necessary. This is my only place of reference really, and I trust most all of your opinions. No one around my area has any type of aftermarket stereo, so I really can't demo anyone. Over all what I'm looking for is something that can get loud, but still sound clean. Any suggestions or previous experience with a certain p…

Hi all , so I've been looking around for component sets , My goals are , more than decent sounding , and get reasonably loud for those moments I want to sing along and not wanting being able to hear myself (cause my singing isnt all that) . want my EQ'ing to as straight forward as possible so a 2-way will be for me , no intention entering comps but I've got high standards for my own . kicks will find their place high in in the doors and the tweets in a-pillar pods , highs freferably on-axis or close to it . amplification will be a good 200watts @4ohms per kickdriver and 90watts per tweeter by 2 seperate amps as for sound I'm looking for what everyone wants , smooth l…

I've been looking for a good setup, but very confused about what I'm looking for. After reading a lot of forums I found that a lot of people are suggesting the tangbands and fountek's. I looked at some website and found these speakers. Wanted to know if this would be a good setup or not.... Tang Band W6-1721 Tang Band W5-704D Tang Band 25-1166SJ Each door will have 1 W6-1721, 2 W5-704D, and 1 25-1166SJ. Any feedback would be great.

Howdy. I am in the market for a new sub to go in my Mazda 3. I have my eye on this Audio Integrations custom fit sub box to help claim back some trunk space, and hopefully not sacrifice a ton of sound. It has ~.7 cubic feet, available, and has 7" of mounting depth. I have about 700 x 1 watts rms @ 4 ohms to give the sub, and listen to all types of music (hip hop, rap, house/trance, metal, rock, etc). I am not looking for anything too crazy, but would like something that gives good bang for the buck. I see there are some good deals for black friday, and it got me thinking. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, as the title says I'm looking for a single larger sub to replace my two infinity reference series 1050W's but still provide the same amount or better performance. This is to save space in the back of my cherokee without sacrificing loudness or quality. I am running a infinity 611a sub amp and I would like the sub to match up well with it, it puts out 657 watts rms at 2 ohms. Being a student funds are a little limited but I was looking at the Sundown SA-12. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Edit* The Infinity's are in a sealed box dimensions 25.5 x 10 x 12, I Would prefer the box to not come above the back seats which is about 18", I could always have the s…

so a friend of mine is looking to add a sub to his car, but he cares a great deal about weight (yes, contradictory, but to each his own). He's looking for a 10" driver that weighs less than 20lbs, preferably around 15lbs, that has awesome SQ and lets you slightly feel the bass. So far, he's looking at the eD 11Kv.2, Adire Shiva (having a hard to time to find this thing online), and the Seas Lotus SW250 (isn't sure if he wants to spend this much money, unless its 200% worth it). any other suggestions? Thanks in advance

Currently have a 12" ICON but when getting ready to build a ported enclosure for it, the sub suffered its fate. So Im looking for a new sub to replace it. I had a custom box designed for it with 1.75cuft at 32hz. If I can still use that it would be great. Looking to power the next sub with either an Audioque 1200d or Crescendo 1500. The DSS Ethos lools great but it seems like the amps above would under power them. I loved my ICON but not sure I want to wait 1.5 months again. Suggestions would be great. Thanks!

ok, currently i have an old Orion H2. great sub, but its starting to make popping noises, i don't have a warranty, and i'd rather just buy a new sub than try to fix it. so right now im looking at the 18" Fi BL. anybody have any experience with the BL compared to the Q? any significant difference in SQ or SPL? it will be in a 6-6.5 cu. ft ported with 1200 watts...any decibel estimates? or does anybody have any idea what Fi's new line will be? new to this forum, thanks for any help -Chris

I've never been a big basshead, so I'm downsizing my idmax down to a pair of 8's. looking to spend about whatever I can sell my idmax for, so I'd say about 200ish, maybe a little more. mounting depth can't be too deep, lets just say 6" tops. I'm thinking about the ID8's right now, any input on those would be nice or any other suggestions. the eD 700s were also considered but ehh...lol. looking for purely SQ. my high end consists of extremis's and AC g2si ribbons. these are going where the rear speakers go, but in a sealed box. thanx yall.

Today I pulled out my 3 way Dynaudio 362 set today and I see that I have one tweeter blown. I don't know that I want to spend $300 on a replacement set either. I didn't love them that much. lol I am going to run passive as I have the 3-way passive crossovers and dont want to add all the extra amps to go active. I am trying to keep this to a minimum both with weight and equipment used. I am going to put the 8" woofer in the door and 3" mids with 1" tweeters in the kicks. I found that worked better when I was passive on this set so thats where I am going to start first. The passive tweeeter is a second order @ 3.5khz (12db), the mid and woofer are first order 900-3500 (6db)…
