built new box today..waiting for it to dry now.total volume is 3.4 cubes gross.port is 2.25x14x27long so net volume for sub is 2.85 plus the port which is .5 cubes.hows that sound on paper?and whats it tuned to?around 30 i think.

I have a set of Bravox Audio CS60K components and i was wondering if anyone could recommend crossover points? Ive read that the supplied passives low-pass the mid 1000hz@6db and high-pass the tweet at 4200hz@19db. I'm using a 3sixty.2 and the slopes i have are 12 and 24db and powering the components with a T400-4, any recommendations are appreciated.

So I have everything but my subs and I'm killing myself trying to decide on subs! I have an Arc 2300se for sub duty, birth sheet says 1400w bridged @ 4ohms. So I'm looking for two 12s, sealed for space issues, separate sealed boxes that is. 700 watts a piece with SQ being a priority, some Xmax for output maybe, as I do like my bass and want to be able to flex my muscles. Full legatia se 3 way front stage to blend with.

Hi I am thinking of purchasing off CL 2 SX 10's (12 spoke style basket) and 2 AudioPipe APSM-1300 for $400? It sounds like a great deal but wanted to get some 2nd opinions. Thanks... Also I don't really know about the AudioPipe brand in general, are they decent or cheap stuff? This is to upgrade from my 2 SE 10's currently on a US Amps MD1D...

When i hook up components and wire them to my amp, does the crossover unit that comes with them split the power between the two? my amp is 70w per channel does that mean my tweeter sees 35 and the woofer 35? Is it possible to just use all four channels for just my front stage? when the set is rated at 100w rms does that mean each piece can handle that or are the 50w each?

I posted this someplace else but you guys seem to know Parts Express pretty well from my brief experience here! I have an 8" subwoofer from a 2001 Suburban with a completely disintegrated foam surround. Voice coil still works and spider is intact. The speaker is 2 ohms and sees about 50 watts from the amplifier. It sits in a small sealed box, around 0.5 cu ft. Thats about all I know of it. Parts express has many options to choose from. I want as cheap as possible since this vehicle is getting sold and I'd like it to have a fully working radio. If it was mine, it would be getting two 18s about now! Any ideas guys?

hi, which sub has better SQ and which one sounds louder i don't want just SPL i want SQ to using them on a sealed box... what you think of both brands?

Sup guys, i'm really interested in the mags, i know it's goin to cost me some money but def. well worth it, i'm thinking of putting up a wall in my car and go with either 3 12" mags or 4 12" mags, most likey each powered by a nine.1 or an RE 12.1, i was wondering how much space would be recommended for them i'm goin to say probably 2.0 cf per sub? and what would be a good tunning for it, probably around 32-35 hz? its either a wall or 2 12" in a crx style box with a orion 2500d.. suggestions are welcome. thanx

i ordered my IA death row 15 and i have a sae-1500dv2 and i am building the box... i need some suggestions on box size and port area.... i have a grand prix gtp and i have looked at recomended sizes and port but need input from a user and what would be the best to get loudest on music... let me know and all sugestions are welcomed thanks

Hey, i've been looking for days on the internet but there are just too many subs to choose from. I asked about what subwoofer would be best for me on another forum but lets say they werent very helpfull. So im looking for a single or 2 subwoofers (dont know what's best yet) for in my car. I got a kind of low budget but i just want to get some nice bass. It is for daily use btw, if it matters. I live in The Netherlands, so im not sure if all subwoofers can be shipped to here. i am kind of a newbie and i was think of getting an 18 ssd fully load with a 1800 watt kenwood amp wired to 1 ohm @ roughly 1000 watts RMS. in a 6 cu. Ft. box tuned to 26 hz. do you think it would be louder then 3 cheap 12's

DD post their excursions in "suspension". Does this mean the total distance the sub can travel as opposed to xmax which means the greatest travel in one direction? For example, their 9500 series has suspension of 80mm... it doesn't seem like this can be xmax.. so would the xmax be 40mm ??(half of the total distance traveled)

I want to know if Level 2s will take 500RMS? I have a 12" BL at the moment on a Diamond Audio D61000.1 @ 1ohm in my truck and I'm planning on getting 2 12" Level 2s. I will be satisfied right?

I was looking for a 10 inch sub for my 96 accord, and was interested in the digital design 3510 sub, but have never actually heard it. Im looking for a sub that is slightly more "compact" than my 12s, but still delivers the bass that I crave. Any opinions? pros/cons, etc.? I found an old JL 10 for sale, didn't see a number on it. Looks like it was reconed or something but ok job. Motor is near as big as the hole it would go in, its heavy. Kind of well used looking but new JL dustcap and maybe foam on it, it is all black and stamped looking frame....any idea of value? Not sure what I could do with only one. It has thick paper gasket on top edge that is torn up some, the rest is not bad.

What will be a good sub set up for my new pioneer DEH80PRS

Im building a new system and i want to match my sub to my amp i currently have. It will put 1200w rms @ 2 ohms and 1700w rms @ 1 ohm. I was looking at the BL 12 and figured since it had a 1500w rms that it would be a good match. Would u recommend the BL 12 or a different sub to match with my amp

Im debating on which subs to get and need some help. I was thinking of 2 12" Kicker CVX's or 2 15" Kicker L5's. I do want SQ but its not that big of a deal since I mostly listen to rap. Any help is appreciated

I've had my 2 12" magnums for quite some time now and still haven't set them up. I'm pretty close to it though, now that my alternator is here. Anyways, I have questions regarding enclosure size. I can fit a 2 cf box in my trunk with enough room to spare, but after sub displacement, this gives only 1.6 cf (0.8 per sub) right? Is this good enough? Will there be big difference between 1 cf after displacement per sub and 0.8 cf? Most people seem happy with 1 cf, but I don't know if that is before or after displacement. Each one will be getting like 600 watts from a PG tantrum 1200.1 amp. If I need more volume, I might just port one and sell the other one, or use it …

Hey guys, we recently purchased '11 Toyota Venza with stock stereo and I'm pretty dissapointed with the audio system in a $40k car, whether the stock or the upgraded JBL package system, real disapointment. I want to upgrade the stock speakers only, as this is mainly my fiance's car to work and our family car for trips.
