Currently have the PG RSD's Been happy with them since day one especially being that I paid 50$ for them new. However, a tweeter blew awhile ago and I replaced it with an Infinity Ref series I had laying around. To say the least, its half asssed. I want to upgrade to something really good, my budget being about $200-$215 Ive heard good things about the DLS. Opinions or comments welcome. Using a Alpine Digital Mrv F345 rated @ 75w RMS and my doors are deadened in my 2001 Maxima GLE THANKS

hello, i have a 15" icon powered by a jl 1000 amp. its in a pro box ported enclosure. i set the amp up according to the jl tech's instructions and when i really crank on it sometimes the speaker gives off a burning smell. it did it twice so i dont crank it that hard anymore. i purchased my sub during the free sub box deal was going on and got it with a 4 cu 33hz box and when i would turn the sub volume all the way on the head unit is when i first smelled the burning so i took it back out of that box and put it back in the pro box. my question is am i clipping the sub or do i need to step up to the xcon. i have my settings on the amp at the recommended settings and only ha…

Well, I received my new 12" Mag D2 and this thing is amazing, I'm powering it at a 4 ohm setup running around 700watts (visonik 900xD). I'm curious to see what it'll do with the full 1400 or so watts. Its mounted in a box I picked up from Mark, I believe its 2.8 cu. ft. ported at 28Hz. It is very very accurate and doesnt back down to anything, I'm impressed. All I want to do now is cruise around and listen to some good tunes. Just wanted to let y'all know how good you guys are doing, keep pumpin those things out! btw I'll definitly be showing this thing off, so i hope to get you guys some more sales of these wicked sub woofers. props to my bro WeDgE for sending me thi…

my over all budget has been raised to the area of $600-700 this is mostly so I can afford to build a box. Still want two 18's and due to my research, I am looking for about 8.5cubes@26Hz because singaboy311's box is a kewl design. Again thanks for the help so far! I am looking forward to building this beast, just so excited ( parents aren't LOL) but hey, if its too loud, you're too old!

I picked up a new Daily Driver, its a 2005 TrailBlazer and I want to put a decent system in... This system will be strictly for Music no SPL comps or anything crazy, I just want a really clean install, a system that sounds really nice and is Dependable... Of Course the Stereo nut SPL Freak in me wants it as loud as possible, but Still as good as possible... Not chassing the DBs... I listem to Mostly Rap, some R&B, Some smooth Jazz, some Rock, Wife listens to the same, plus Country and some old Blues I guess it is.... I've got some cash saved up, so this weekend I'm going to go look at getting an alarm put on (I'll do another post on that somewhere) and maybe loo…

Are amplifiers really needed for these speakers? I have coaxial speakers that replaced my factory ones. My factory ones were 25RMS and my new ones are 60RMS in the front, and 65RMS in the back. They crank up really loud and they are in the factory locations with the factory wiring. I think they sound amazing, but I always hear about amplifiers for these mids & highs. Are they needed?

Well, I finally blew this little sucker. Tough to believe, but this little $15 dollar driver actually sounded good and performed rather well in a minute .33cubes. I was intrigued by the design so I decided to tear it apart. Have a look. Motor removed. Can you believe this tiny thing is the driving force??!! Coil. It's a little burnt, but not much. It appears as if the winding has broken, but I can't tell for sure. All done.

Any body ever heard this component set. I believe they were made by Adire before they went under. Not alot of reviews on the net about them.

is there anything bad about using passive radiators? for the sound i am trying to get i think i either need to have a wall or open space for my subs (no trunk). i am not so much concerned with spl or sq i want my car to have a lot of impact and with the limited space that i have 4 15's wouldnt fit into my trunk with adequate airspace.

I've been looking at your ""SQL"" subs and noticed that there's not reccomended enclosure specs. Can you post up what you think is best for each size in sealed and ported? And whether ported or sealed is optimal? Also When are the DVC subs going to be out?

Hey, i've been looking for days on the internet but there are just too many subs to choose from. I asked about what subwoofer would be best for me on another forum but lets say they werent very helpfull. So im looking for a single or 2 subwoofers (dont know what's best yet) for in my car. I got a kind of low budget but i just want to get some nice bass. It is for daily use btw, if it matters. I live in The Netherlands, so im not sure if all subwoofers can be shipped to here. So, what i found yet: http://www.pimtensen.nl/shop_details.php?grp_id=6&sub_id=18&cur_id=7117 (Is it any good because it costs only $66??) Or something like this: http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/pr…

Well, guys this is my first post and I am in the market for a new sub when my cars arrives. In September, I am getting my 2015 Mustang, and I would like to have some opinions. Since I don't know the exact space I will have I do know I will still need to fit golf clubs in the trunk. My goals are to have a very accurate and deep bass. So, I am thinking on the lines of a sealed box. Unless I can design and fabricate a ported box that will be accurate. I am willing to put the money down for a good amp and sub. Any recommendations on setup please tell me. I want to do it right the first time so I don't have to do it again.

I compared a Gcon 15 and an SA15 and found something that sparked a couple questions for me: 1. Is there any simple reason why the Gcon requires a 1.5 ft^3 bigger than the SA15 to achieve the same curve and... 2. Why is it that the Gcon's curve is not a smooth curve in the same box? I know they're different drivers and will perform differently in different conditions, but more in depth, or rather, the science behind it. Could I just not know how to use the program? lol

I understand that a given sub in a given enclosure does not remain a "*" ohm speaker. The actual impedance is dependant on the frequencies being played. After watching the resistance dance around on my multimeter, I was wondering if there is a method to stabilize the impedance closer to what the woofer actually is and salvage some of that lost power from my amp.

anyone have any experience with memphis subs? 2-12's in sealed box. all according to spec. which would be better. hpo and d2 shp and d2 The shp is kinda expensive, so wondering if a d2 would be better? hpo is pretty cheap but does d2 blow it away? thanks.
