I have 4 6.5 SXMP mid range speakers that I want to run together in my Tundra. I have come across a Sundown SAE-600D mono amp for a great price. Will this amp be suitable for these 6.5s? Thanks.

  3. Hello all, I installed my Pioneer MVH-X690BS head unit last night and it powers up fine, however my Image Dynamics CTX65CS in the front doors are not working. I checked the amps and they seem to be working properly. I have an appointment with a local audio shop tomorrow to help me with the big three install (I can't reach the alternator on my Xterra, what a pain in the ass) and I will ask them to trouble-shoot my components while I am at it. However, I have a feeling I may need to replace the components. I have a Sundown 100.2 amp that does 100x2 @ 4ohms and 200x2 @ 2ohms. I am interested in the RE XXX 6.5C as that is one of the few 2 ohms components I've f…

Current set up is as follows: 2 AA Poly mids mounted in each door. WELL deadened. 80-2500Hz Vifa XT25 mounted about 12" above mids. HP around 2800Hz Xovers done via a Helix amp. I'm very happy with how it sounds, but you know how the upgrade bug is. I'm considering going 3 way with a dedicated midbass to replace one of the poly mids. Something like this: Peerless SLS 8" 60-250Hz Poly mid 250-2500Hz Vifa 2800+ I would also need to get an electronic xover and am not sure what yet as I haven't researched them. I'm looking for more punch/kick up front, mostly for 80's rock/metal, so lots of kick drums. But I don't want to lose the incredible midrange output for guitars, etc…

I live in Johnson City Tn and am very interested in hearing a pair of XCON subs. Not a lot of bumpers in this area so was wondering if anyone on here or anyone you know has a pair that i could drive to hear. Im willing to drive a couple hours away for the demo as my wife has insisted i hear these awesome subs before purchasing them This may need to go to general audio section, sorry if so.

OK. I have narrowed it down to two different ways to design my amp rack. I want your opinions. Tell me which you think looks the best or which of the 2 you would do. If you have any other ideas let me know. I am open. These are my favorite so far. The sub is a 12" SI Magnum and the amps are a PG t1200.1 and a PG t500.2. There will be crossovers for a set of SI 302 components. So here ya go. Whataya think? A:

Not sure if this belongs somewhere else. . Okay, because i have a hugeee box for my sub that barely fits in my trunk of my crown vic. ya lol The sub faces upward toward the trunk. Whenever i turn up the volume my trunk piece flexes and moves like crazy. Although it doesn't sound as bad as those 200 watt shitty bass system that is just rattle. The previous owner of my car put some type of insulator in all of the cracks that would normally rattle in my car, not sure what he used. But the only thing that moves like crazy is the dam trunk hood thing itself. If i face the sub toward the license plate there would be about a minimum of 10" inches possibly more , between…

  11. Hello everyone, I currently have a pair of Image Dynamics CTX65CS components in my front door speakers and Type S's in my rear doors that're being powered off of my alpine headunit. I will soon be ordering the 12" Dcon Single 4 ohm to place in the 2.0 cubic foot box I have that has a port tuned to 32hz. I thought I got a pretty good deal on it, and it looks sturdy enough to hold the DCON with it's double baffled front! The amp i'm using to power my front components and the subwoofer is the Cadence DCA 4100 which I also linked below. Correct me if i'm wrong, But I have to bridge two channels of this amplifier together if I want my subwoofer to be seeing roughly 250 RMS at…

OK, well wondering what your opinion is on dedicated midbass drivers like the JL 6W0, TB 6.5, EU-700 and things of that sort? If one say had a higher frequency range say 10hz-4khz, would you use it? in a 2way or 3way setup? vented or sealed or in door. What price would you go for?

I just purchased an Fi BL 10in dual 2ohm sub from Fi. My amp is an Hifonics Brutus 1208 with 4 guage wiring. i hooked the sub up yesterday at a 1ohm load, turned the amp around a quarter of the way up and listened for a little while. It started having a cracking sound like the voice coil was cracking but it dosen't do it at low volumes just around half way up which isn't loud at all also my deck is stock at the moment. Please give me advice on what the problem might be dealer fault or mine.

My cousin is telling me of some subs he is trying to get rid of. He dosent have any pictures of them but all he says is that they are competition subs and they have a red C on the cone. Now whether or not they are competition is totally speculation. But I just wanted to know which sub company uses a red "C" for their logo on subs? Thanks in advance ~MadroX
