I put 2 12" Lethal Injections in a custom 4.25^3ft. @ 35Hz box. Hifonics 1608d 1100w @ 2ohms. Set the amp to 43v with a 45Hz tone. At first I forgot to screw them down so they were bouncing all over at full power before I realized it. The lows sound good and loud but the bass kicks don't pound like they should. how can I test them.

Due to the need for space in the back of my truck, I am forced to downsize. Currently I have 2 fi bl 18's installed. What should I do? [scenario 1] I have 2 fi bl 12's that I purchased along with the 18's and haven't touched them yet. So I would just make a box for them and put it in. [scenario 2] I would remove 1 18 and build a new box [scenario 3] I would sell both of my 18 inch bl's and buy a single 18 inch BTL and use it. Which way would be the loudest? Subs up, port back. Sundown audio 3kd. So the main question would be, will I still get the lows with 12's that I get with 18's? And would an 18 inch BTL be louder than 2 12 inch BL's? Help is appreciated

I have decided to go ahead and keep supporting the local shop around here and buy speakers from him. All speakers listed would be bought at dealer cost. If you vote, tell me why you voted the way you did.

I have a friend with 2 JL 10W3v3 under the back seat of his 2002 dodge ram and wants to know if he should get 2 Fi SSD 10 to replace them. I know that the SSD's handles more power, but would the switch be worth it? Thanks any input welcome.

I've recently been offered a 1993 towncar for a great deal. I was wondering if i could cram 2 soundsplinter 18's sealed in the trunk. I cant find the dimensions of the trunk, so anyone who has one should help me out! The car will be temporary because i will be buying an suv of some sort later.

  8. I blew one of my focal tweeters when my amp popped/blew and need to find a replacement. I really like the inverted dome TNB tweeter that came with my 165VR's much smoother and not harsh like all of Focal's other tweeters I am just replacing them I don't want component tweeters I don't want harsh tweets can't handle the piercing highs. What do I get to replace it/them. Going in an Escalade not stock location I believe they will have to be 45mm tweeters I really don't want to redrill. Not too expensive less than 100$ preferably 130$ max. Thanks for your help

well today at school my friend brought his explorer into the shop for an oil change....i could help but notice a huge "M" on his back window and knew what it was when i saw it. hes got 2 15" memphis mojo's and 2 MC2000D's powering them. his chit was slappin hard as hell. i have never heard memphis subs before and was thoroughly impressed by them. one of the loudest setups with 2 15's ive heard next to btls... what would you say are comparable subs to the mojo's...do a lot of people run them? what do you guys think about them in general...worth the money?

Help be decide which sub's is better for my project. I want to do a blow through in a 2006 ford f-150 super crew. This past weekend I heard two addictive audio aa15v3 in a ford ranger, it sounded really good. But, I have never heard a Fi BTL. What do you guys think? What is a better sub? Has anyone heard both sub's? The only think that draws my attention of the addicive audio is that it has a warranty for three years, and I don't know if Fi has any warranty or not.

I am going to build a fiberglass box that fits under my rear seats. I can fit 10s or 12s. I will probably have 2cubic feet before port and sub displacement. I was thinking of doing 2 mach 5 ixl 10s ported, or 2 diamond d6s. i currently have a 10w3 sealed powered by a 500w alpine and its not cutting it. Im looking for subs that get really loud but still sound good. I mostly listen to rap but would like something that sounds decent on all types of music. any suggestions? its going in an 03 ram quadcab. thanks.

About the Pioneer Premier REV series speakers? I had four coax 6x9"s on 75 rms each, and loved them. I am thinking about getting more. plus the 6 1/2" components to run active. They are cheap to at only $100ish Thoughts?

  21. I know this may be a dumb question..but i believe a dumb question is one that was never asked!! so if someone would clear this up for me i'd appreciate it! ok my buddy just sold me his 15" fi Q dvc 1ohm... i already have a kicker cvx dvc 4ohm now i am gonna buy another fi Q but money is an issue right now and i need some knock right now so the question is if i wire the fi q down to 2ohms and wire the cvx to 2ohms will it be a 1ohm load or not? and why? i know they are different voice coils but 2 subs dropped to 2ohms=1ohm and my amp is 1ohm stable, would this work or will it fry my amp?

I have been looking at Fi for a long time now and have some money in line to get one. What my idea is to buy a 15" BTL fully loaded (Dual 2) for daily driving as my Accent is my only vehicle. I am currently running 2 Power Acoustic 15's from a single Ultra Linear 1600Watt amp. I am currently running stock electrical (not sure if upgrading will screw with my warranty.) Along with buying this i am looking at the Ultra Linear 2400@Watt amplifier. I am curious if that will be stable enough to run it. with out hurting it. in order to run that amp I would be running it bridged at 4ohms and getting the 2400RMS. (as long as i can upgraded my electrical without voiding my warrant…

I just got home from a 16hr day at work. This iwas delivered. first impression, good build quality, heavier than expected 29lbs, sharp looking cone and very stiff. So needless to say this put a smile on my face. Now I just need some time to make a few enclosures and test it out. I am thinking one 1ft^3 sealed and the other 2ft^3 30sq in of port tuned to 32-34hz. I will either run it off my SAZ 3000d @ 4ohms or a PG Tantrum 1200.1 @ 4ohms. Maybe this weekend I will have some time. Chad

  24. I posted something simular to this and it didn't get enough results, so I thought I'de re-frase the topic being I didn't get enough feedback lol. So here we go again lol. A friend of mine is doing a budget system and wants some good coaxle's. He just wants a pair of 3 way 6x9s for the rear and 5 1/4s for his front doors. He has the same car as me but an 03 Corolla and just wants some speakers to power off his deck that'll be able to take a beating and doesn't care about his speakers having much bass being his box does. He just wants something durable. So far the brands we're looking at are JL Audio, Kicker, MTX, Alpine, JBL. The speakers don't have to be cheap. He …

I have a pair of Infinity Kappa 60.9 components. The left tweeter fried after a week. I cannot figure out why. I was feeding them around 80 watts and they seemed to shine. Anyway I am looking to replace the tweeters with something better. I need something large to fill the huge 2 3/8 inch mounting hole from the infinitys. and it needs to be 4 ohm. I am going to cross it over at 3.5khz. Please help me find something. My budget is tight. I cannot go over 25 bucks a pop. I found these and they seem to fit the bill. Anybody have anything to say about peerless? http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=8500 Also keep in mind. I am in college, which is worse tha…
