Sorry didn't see the Mach 5 forum. I put this in the speaker forum as well. Anyone tried these sealed? I don't want to take up a significant portion of the back of my Tahoe since I have baby things. So has anyone tried these sealed around the 2.5 to 3 cubes per sub range. Just so you know they won't have a ton of power on them. Just the sub channel on my Kicker ZX700.5? I'm trying to get something that is a louder and lower the JL12W3's in there now. I'm moving those to my Camaro.

The site says 1cuft per sub ...so should I go 2cuft net for both...or a lil more? lets say 2.2 cuft for both And also...I am thinking of getting a Lanzar Opti2000d. Is that a good choice for these subs? the opti will give them 350wrms (which they are rated at) @ 4ohm Thanks my first post here

I am a man that plans ahead. I'm planning on building a SS1-2 car next year and my plans include 4 saz-3000d's and 2 subs. I have many choices but what subs are really going to be burp happy seeing 6000+ watts rms? Some subs i'm considering are: IA DP 21 (if wayne harris doesn't shoot my idea down as it's technically within the rules) Fi Btl 18"s Nightshade 18"s Hope for a Mach 5 SPL 18 PAP wmd^2 I'm looking for efficiency as well as the ability to take a 3-6 second burp. For bass race I would run a saz-3000d to each coil at 2 ohms vs. the strapped to each sub at 1 ohm. Any other suggestions, I know I'm getting ahead of myself but I'm looking for options.

Hello, new member here. Im a member at several other forums like others Im sure are. Anyway. When are the SI D2's gonna be available, or is SI coming out with a new line? I'm ready to buy and to be honest my choice is coming down to the 12" si d2 and an adire audio 12" brahma. Both subs will fit my application perfectly. I've heard great things about both and well I just dont know which one to get. I'm looking for awsome SQ with the ability to hit hard in a small sealed enclosure feeding it 900 watts and both the si and the brahma fit that perfectly.

anyone have any experience with memphis subs? 2-12's in sealed box. all according to spec. which would be better. hpo and d2 shp and d2 The shp is kinda expensive, so wondering if a d2 would be better? hpo is pretty cheap but does d2 blow it away? thanks.

Up until recently Ive been thinking about going with a single 12" BL, SX, LVL4 XL, or BTL. But now after talking to Rusty, Im thinking anout going with 2 10s instead. Im still currently in the planning stage and i wanted some imput on what to do. Ill have roughly 2.5ft?^3 to work with under my back seat after I lift it 2 inches. I mainly listen to rap, and my goals are to get loud and low. ill currently do not have an amp, but ill be matching the amp to the sub/s.

I havent really been keeping up with the status of these drivers, so forgive my ignorance if its known already but i was wondering if you all still had some of these in stock. And if you are close to selling out. Reason being, as stated before, im going to get rid of my Magnum 12s and get a pair of the 15s. I just dont know how long it woud take me to sell my 12s. And i didnt want to end up selling my 12s, just to be too late for the 15 d2s. Also, would 900W Rms be efficient enough for a magnum 15? Im planning on keeping my Tsunami 1800, but i didnt know if the magnum 15 would be starved for more power. Plus in the future, i might sell my current amp and get two 1200W am…

Here it is: the official thread on the new Mag 12 D2. The new Mag D2 will be available in 12" only. It will also be available in Dual 2 Ohms only. Recommended sealed enclosure volume is 1 cubic foot. The enclosure recommendations are after port and driver displacement. The new Mag will displace 0.08 ft^3 The new Mag D2 will feature: 3" voice coil an XBL^2 equipped motor 5.5" deep mounting depth Motor is inside the basket, hence the shallow depth Paper pulp cone Rubber surround Sewn-on vc leads Flush gasket (no holes showing) 1000 watt power handling in recommended enclosures

We're gonna build a box with scrap mdf for a garage sale trophy, who can recommend a good enclosure size and port area for a 15" type R? I don't remember what my box for a pair was built to, it's been a while.

okay, i have gotten myself confused here, need some help fellars. oh, and only moderate flamming of the equipment here, it is not mine! lol American Legacy LA-2278 amplifier, 2 ohm stable @ 450 watts....... Three(3) Kicker CompVR 12"s , I believe they are 2 ohm DVC., 400 W.RMS...... If they are indeed 2 ohm. DVC., I will wire them parallel / series, so a 3 ohm. load on the amp..... if for some reason we find that they are 4 ohm. DVC., then the wiring will be series / parallel , which is a 2.67 ohm. load. ........ the question is, how many watts will the subs be seeing? I am assuming that there is a good chance that the amp will not do it's true rated power, but for all g…

Yep, we sent our 12" BM prototype to JimJ without ever listening to it. A lot of people would say that's a pretty stupid thing to do. But we have enough confidence in the new BM line from auditioning the 10" model that we jumped out on a limb and send him the driver. Jim has a prototype with a few things fixed vs. the 10" model - mainly the surround color - but not everything is finalized on this prototype. The only big thing left to do is to treat the dust cap for a different finish. But besides the latter, the driver Jim has will perform just like the production drivers will. Jim sent me an email yesterday letting me know he got the driver and will be testing it…

Okay I just received my Mag and had some questions about best practices as far as setup goes. I have a 20.1 pushing the Mag so there is no lack in power. My question is in regards to the wiring and getting the Mag to the lowest impedance possible for more power. From reading I know the Mags are Dual 2 Ohm so how can I lower this? Currently I have the Mag wired as such....please tell me if my thinking is correct (we are talking about one sub here): Jumped a wire from positive terminal to positive terminal on the speaker to the positive terminal of the external connector. Jumped a wire from negative terminal to negative terminal on the speaker to the negative terminal of th…

Hey wussup Guys, Can sumone tell me what would be the best way to power up and wire these subs together. I'm just about done making a fiberglass enclosure for them.its all one chamber. Should i use one amp two etc. The 3 subs are dvc 15" fosgate 2 ohm 250 rms P2d215 .After the box i will be making a panel on the door for one 8" sub and an 6-3/4 component set along with two component sets in the rear. Help me understand the science of installation. i want to blueprint the install but dont really know where to start. thanks

I really like you new woofer and was planning to get one of the originals magnums but you now what happened. I am trying to not make this a comparsion thread but it might just become one. I currently own the 15HC and I am looking for something more efficient. I really like the low end of the 15HC but I would just love a louder all around woofer. I have a viper 1200.1 amp that puts out about 1200 watts and the box I am currently using is 4.05 cuft tuned to 30 hz. I plan to buy another car next year and would like to keep the box I made for the 15HC until I get the new car. I was basically looking for a woofer that would be a better option in terms in loudness if I did a di…

just for reference purposes, i KNOW for a fact, that 5.4 cubes tuned to 90Hz doesent work well for a 15. however, if you take about 5 cubes and tune it to 43Hz it is a much better box, until you lose the aero ports

i just moved my 2 mtx 9500 into a 05 sentra spec V... i have the 1000 watt rms mtx amp on it at 2 oms, and a 6 farad power accoustic power cap... when i start to pound them after then get so loud, they dont distourt but they just wont get any louder do yall think i should get a second amp to help push these things? The amp is a mono block, but has dual outputs... wouldnt that make it 500 watts rms coming out of each output? i imagine they can get alot louder if i did. and also, even with that 6 farad cap, im still diming out my lights but the digital readout on the cap is saying the battery is still putting out a lil over 12 volts... any ideas?

Just wondering is these 2 subs could handle an AQ3500 (older model 3500@1ohm)?? If so, what would be the optimum box for them to be ok with this power?

Ok guys I got 2 10'' JL w0's (old ones), they beat pretty good in my truck (ext. cab sonoma), but it is time for bigger and better things. My buddy has 3 12'' JL w0's (also old ones) that I am buying, but 2 of them are 4ohm and the other is 8ohm. I have 2 amps to use. I'm not sure if I should run all 3 12's ( 8ohm on one amp and 2 4ohm on the other), or run the 2 4ohm 12's with my 2 4ohm 10's. Either way I will build a sealed enclosure with each one in its own chamber. I'm just open for suggestion. Got alot of stuff and don't know what to do, any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Ok first off no flaming me please. My current setup is two 12" shallow mount Pioneer subs (sealed down firing) and a Hifonics Gladiator amp...wired 750rms @ 2 ohm. My problem is lately I've noticed a smell which I can only assume is voice coil, and I've been feeling like my output is not what it use to be. When I first had this installed it was hitting very hard and clean. My rear view mirror looked like it would fall off, and my ears would ring it was so low. Very clean, no bottoming or rattle and I loved it. But the guy who installed it set the gain by ear and I always thought he just turned knobs to appease me for whatever reason instead of setting where it should be…

I understand that a given sub in a given enclosure does not remain a "*" ohm speaker. The actual impedance is dependant on the frequencies being played. After watching the resistance dance around on my multimeter, I was wondering if there is a method to stabilize the impedance closer to what the woofer actually is and salvage some of that lost power from my amp.
