ok i think i have narrowed it down to a cmpx2, fi q, utopia, or a w6v2. keep in mind i have a 02 ram single cab w/ the center seat removed and im goin for SQ. i listen to mostly rock and rap but also reggae, classical and most everything else. if i have a choice, do i go w/ the smaller sub? lemme know ur opinion and y. plz tell me if u think other subs would be better for sq thx in advance

I really like you new woofer and was planning to get one of the originals magnums but you now what happened. I am trying to not make this a comparsion thread but it might just become one. I currently own the 15HC and I am looking for something more efficient. I really like the low end of the 15HC but I would just love a louder all around woofer. I have a viper 1200.1 amp that puts out about 1200 watts and the box I am currently using is 4.05 cuft tuned to 30 hz. I plan to buy another car next year and would like to keep the box I made for the 15HC until I get the new car. Sorry didn't see the Mach 5 forum. I put this in the speaker forum as well. Anyone tried these sealed? I don't want to take up a significant portion of the back of my Tahoe since I have baby things. So has anyone tried these sealed around the 2.5 to 3 cubes per sub range. Just so you know they won't have a ton of power on them. Just the sub channel on my Kicker ZX700.5? I'm trying to get something that is a louder and lower the JL12W3's in there now. I'm moving those to my Camaro.

I'm looking to upgrade my current set up , which is 2-RF T110D4's sealed box under back seat. Want SQ and output. Going in a 99 silverado 3 door. I really don't want to get JL's , I'm trying to get something in my area that no one else has, but also sounds good and maybe out do the (JL's and Kicker, memphis) stuff. I e-mailed FI, but no response, don't want to deal with company who doesn't respond back to me. I will be buying rockford amps as soon as I know what subs I will be getting. Will be in ported box.

Does anyone know why ID never made one of these? Its seems stupid that they havent, seems like it could have been a good money maker if they would have done it years ago when they made the 10 and 12.

Just put my 15D2 in, 3.8 cubes tuned to 30 hz. words simply cannot describe it. this sub is PERFECT. louder than my 4 ED 12K's, hits more accurately, just beats the cr*p out of you. I am simply amazed. Nick (and all others associated with this project), you have done an astounding job. I don't think I'll ever buy another sub again. Just threw it in facing backwards to test it out a bit and measure against my last setup. gonna go try it forwards now, like how I had planned to set it up.

I havent really been keeping up with the status of these drivers, so forgive my ignorance if its known already but i was wondering if you all still had some of these in stock. And if you are close to selling out. Reason being, as stated before, im going to get rid of my Magnum 12s and get a pair of the 15s. I just dont know how long it woud take me to sell my 12s. And i didnt want to end up selling my 12s, just to be too late for the 15 d2s. Also, would 900W Rms be efficient enough for a magnum 15? Im planning on keeping my Tsunami 1800, but i didnt know if the magnum 15 would be starved for more power. Plus in the future, i might sell my current amp and get two 1200W am…

i just moved my 2 mtx 9500 into a 05 sentra spec V... i have the 1000 watt rms mtx amp on it at 2 oms, and a 6 farad power accoustic power cap... when i start to pound them after then get so loud, they dont distourt but they just wont get any louder do yall think i should get a second amp to help push these things? The amp is a mono block, but has dual outputs... wouldnt that make it 500 watts rms coming out of each output? i imagine they can get alot louder if i did. and also, even with that 6 farad cap, im still diming out my lights but the digital readout on the cap is saying the battery is still putting out a lil over 12 volts... any ideas?

Alright to start off I'm new here and I am in no way imposing the w7 to be the end all sub woofer. Well it seems like everyone around me is trying to run the mojo of the w7. I want to sound better and get louder than my uncle. He has a 12w7 ported at 2.25bubes at 32hz on a pdx1000.1 this in my opinion is loud enough. I plan on getting two 10' q's. I am unsure on what to power them with. Probably a sundown 1500d. I can put the subs in boxes about 1 cube net I am not sure on what to tune it to. But Do you think I will be able to out slam his setup?

I am purchasing 2 zcon 12. Are the box specs givin for these net or gross volume?

just kidding. I am just anxious to see SI back up and running. Ever since SI was robbed I have turned alot of friends onto the Mag. They keep asking me when will more be for sale. Its amazing how people will talk crap about your sub cause its not down at the local sound shop then gauk at it after hearing it and try to buy it from you. Any recent info on how things are coming for SI? sure hope Nick and them don't abandon the SI 8" midbass. I have been holding out.

Hello, I'm in Alberta. Been looking at a few manufacturers in the USA. I was planning on two AudioQue HDC3 18s.. but its gunna cost over $800 dollars to get the two to me, including the cost of the woofers. Mach5 is alot closer. I heard about Mach5 from a guy on CanadianCarAudio, who suggest one of the MLI-65 for a computer subwoofer. I've been looking at the MJM-18. I really do wish I had a larger budget. Original plan was 6. But the cost of the woofers themselves, wiring, alternator, batteries, and the rest of the audio gear I need for my truck... its gunna go over my budget.. Does the crossover in a component speaker system affect the way the mid-bass woofer plays? Reason I ask is because I'm currently using only the mid-bass driver of a component system and it doesnt seem like the speaker is playing as good as it did when the crossover was in use.

Three(3) Kicker CompVR 12"s , I believe they are 2 ohm DVC., 400 W.RMS...... If they are indeed 2 ohm. DVC., I will wire them parallel / series, so a 3 ohm. load on the amp..... if for some reason we find that they are 4 ohm. i have ~ 8 cft of space and 2 kw rms of power. my goal is low and loud bass response. for sub id like to run either 1 15 or 2 15s. now winisd shows me that 1 15 l7 (example) in 6 cft space is exactly as loud as 2 15 l7 in the same box. does this represent the truth? hard to believe 1 15 is as loud as 2 of them. i thought 2 15s would push way more air.

just for reference purposes, i KNOW for a fact, that 5.4 cubes tuned to 90Hz doesent work well for a 15. however, if you take about 5 cubes and tune it to 43Hz it is a much better box, until you lose the aero ports

wanting to do 2 12" in a suv. will be amped wth around 1800wts. cant decide which one to go with . soundsplinter rlp's or fi q's. they will be used in a low tuned ported box. just want some feedback or comments on the two.

this is for my 96' eclipse hatchback. i have a concept cc-d2400a for power.would you pick a dd 9515d or 2 a-bahn immortal 12's strictly for street beating. if the immortals are bad,then i was thinking of maybe a pair of 10" L7's or somthing of that sort. thanks for the help guys. charles

Hey wussup Guys, Can sumone tell me what would be the best way to power up and wire these subs together. I'm just about done making a fiberglass enclosure for them.its all one chamber. Should i use one amp two etc. The 3 subs are dvc 15" fosgate 2 ohm 250 rms P2d215 .After the box i will be making a panel on the door for one 8" sub and an 6-3/4 component set along with two component sets in the rear. Help me understand the science of installation. i want to blueprint the install but dont really know where to start. thanks
