I'm working with 300 x 2 @ 4 ohms. Anyone want to piece something together for me? Single 6.5" mid is preferred, I'll be making baffles for my doors. Maybe four tweeters? (Two per channel) + Crossovers and all that, thanks guys.

How do these compare to a kicker 12" cvr? I am looking at getting a sundown sae-1200d to drive 2 12" dc level 3s. Currently I am running a kicker zx400.1 driving a 12" kicker cvr.

I'm going to be doing an install in a freind's 08 Suburban, and he wants a "false floor" built for the rear cargo area. The false floor will house the amplifier (Rockford 25 to life power 1000) and wiring. He wants either a single 12", dual 10", or dual/triple 8" subs, but he wants the false floor to be used as the sub box. He doesn't want to have to deal with a massive sub box in the cargo area. My question is, if the false floor is built 6-8" high, will it be "thick" enough for a proper sub enclosure. I have plenty of space to work with length/width-wise, but the depth is going to be the problem. I guess I'm trying to ask if a shallow box will work ok, as long as I have…

Guys, I have a really dumb question that I'm a little embarrassed to ask. I'm in the planning phase of doing a sealed fiberglass sub enclosure for a friend. My personal sub setup is infinite baffle. I did one sealed enclosure like 5 years ago and have since forgotten the answer to this question. When the sub manufacturer gives you the cubic footage for a sealed enclosure (in this case, .75 cu ft), does this INCLUDE or EXCLUDE the displacement of the sub itself? In other words, do I need to add to the .75 to allow for the space taken up by the magnet/etc, or do I simply make a box that has .75 cu ft of air space? If the answer is that I have to add the displacement of …

Alright, I have narrowed down my decision to three choices and I need help deciding which one to go with. The three possible choices i have come up with are, 2x 12" DC Level 3s 1x 15" DC Level 4 or 1x Fi Bl I will be using a Audioque 1200d for my amp with a stock alt and a extra battery in back. The boxes will all be tuned in between 32-34 hz built to specs given by the manufactures. I have heard great things about all these subs and I am stuck on which to choose. I am mainly looking for a loud but still clean sounding set up to play mainly rap/hip-hop music. I would like to hear any reasons you may have for which set up to choose. Thanks.

Picked up a dual behind the seat truck box for $50 for my crewcab f250. its made for 2 10's with (so they say) 5.25 mounting depth and .75 cubes per side. The amp ill be using is a t5002 putting out 900-1000w @ 2ohm bridged. I looking at the SE SR10d2's they have a 5.25 MD and say they work in small enclosures and the ID10v3's with the 5.25 as well. When the box gets here and if I can mod it to fit something deeper maybe 5.75" so the IDQ10v3's or maybe step up to SR12's or the IDQ12v3's might be an option. both say they will work in that small of an enclosure but im looking for real world opinions. (also can always add polyfill, probably will anyways) so basicly How do th…

I have it hooked up, well I took it out of the car. I tried it on 2 different amps, one I KNOW is working at 1 ohm (hifonics 1200d) and my sub woudln't play. The Hifonics would immediately go into protect mode when the music started to hit the bass. The DMM says .7 ohm, maybe something is messed up. Here is how I have it wired: (it was originally this) But now come to think of it, I might have mixed it up, with the 1st postive and 2nd negative connecting to the positive output on the box. and then the 1st negative and 2nd positive connecting to the negative output on the box. I Don't know if thats what I did, but would either of the ways those were wired, do that to the…

right now i have a decent setup which contains. (2) rockford fosgate 450.4 amps (puts out 225 rms to ea. sub when bridged) click here (2) mtx Jackhammers (400 rms) 6x9 Kenwood Speakers (125 rms) i plan on selling my mtx subs and upgrading to (2) 15 inch subs. i want louder sound. higher lows. and an overall higher spl. correct if im wrong but i believe 15 inch subs are louder then 12 in subs. so heres my question. since CRUTCHFIELD has a BOGO on their subs. i plan on buying ethier the rockford fosgate 15 in sub (200 rms) click here or polk momo 15 in sub. i can buy dual voice coil or single voice coil.(400 rms) click here price is the same so that doesnt matter. just wa…

Hey. I'm looking at getting 8 of the E8's powered by a Sundown SAZ-3000 in a ported box. What size should the box be I am installing them in a 96 cutlass trunk? Also is tuned to 32hz a good freq? Lastly, If i have the box built right and powered right, can I expect good SPL and SQ? I know nothing about these subs so help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm starting to plan out my next setup and am a little stuck on what to choose. To start off, which ever I choose will be walled at the B-pillars of my 03 Ford Expedition XLT. I will most likely tune to between 30Hz and 32Hz. I have 2 SAZ-3000's at the moment, but will pick some more up down the road. So I'm looking for your opinions on which subs to go with. 4 Incriminator DP 21"s 4 DC LVL 5 18"s 4 Fi BTL 18"s I am looking to get really loud and pound out the lows. I'm not too worried about sq as I don't drive too much, just be half way musical, NOT something strictly for burps. I know it's all good equipment, just looking for some opinions. Thanks
