I am a man that plans ahead. I'm planning on building a SS1-2 car next year and my plans include 4 saz-3000d's and 2 subs. I have many choices but what subs are really going to be burp happy seeing 6000+ watts rms? Some subs i'm considering are: IA DP 21 (if wayne harris doesn't shoot my idea down as it's technically within the rules) Fi Btl 18"s Nightshade 18"s Hope for a Mach 5 SPL 18 PAP wmd^2 I'm looking for efficiency as well as the ability to take a 3-6 second burp. For bass race I would run a saz-3000d to each coil at 2 ohms vs. the strapped to each sub at 1 ohm. Any other suggestions, I know I'm getting ahead of myself but I'm looking for options.

does anyone know if they will fit in the front doors using the 6x8 adapters? Depth is going to be the issue. I want good comps bc im not going to be able to have great subs in there. im pretty much decided on those or RF T1's

I have purchased a Mag D2 15 and am trying to find the specs on it so I can build a box for it while I wait on Fedex. I'm sure it's been posted a million times somewhere and I apologize if it has. I am finding a ton of info on the new Mags though Can anyone point me in the right direction or hook me up with some specs please? Need to know what size ported box they like, Cutout diameter, Mounting Depth, and anything else that would be useful to me. If I can't find info I was just gonna do 4 cubes at 33hz. Working on redoing my previous setup to adjust it for my new car. My previous car was a mustang and i had the setup in the trunk on about 1400w at 1ohm. Sub is a 12" ICON in a sealed enclosure. For the new car, its a hatchback so it should be louder anyways. The alternator/battery isn't as strong as the mustang's was and its not really something i'm looking to upgrade right now. On the mustang I was running a cap which helped with the dimming (yea yea.. i know about caps, but it worked out for that setup). On this car, i'd like to do away with the cap. The thought is to run the amp (audioque 1200d) at 4ohm instead of 1ohm. It would drop the power down to 510w (…

well i got my system installed for now all i can say is that the mag rips apart my last system as far as clarity, and is almost as loud in my humbel opinion.

i have a 04 pontiac grand am gt. i bought the system ive been looking at for almost 2yrs now, im hoping its as good as i have been dreaming it to be. i guess if i would of read more i would have picked something with sq, not all spl. but im ok with that. could anyone tell me if i need anything else before installing.... i got: 2 orion h2 15.4 subs, 2 orion hcca d5000 amps, 1 15 farad stinger capacitor, 220amp ho alternator, upgraded "big three" wiring. i was also looking at : stinger drycell battery 2150, and a lightning audio 50 farad capacitor-> will i also need these for power? and anything else to run effectiently? sorry i dont know anything about…

Stuck between the two. I like the e12a.22 option because of the displacement/$ value - it's adding another driver at under $200 vs. spending the $400+ for a new LMT. Leaves me with cash left over. But if there's something really special about the new SS offering that dual underhung drivers with 50+mm of Xmax combined can't touch...I'll fork over the cash. Just interested in your opinions. How much would yall pay for a brand new orion HCCA 15.2?

I am looking for a loud and clean pair of 6.5 components for between 200 and 300. Does anyone have any suggestions? I plan on throwing about 100 watts to them or more if they require.

well about a week ago my 15' mag started to play periodically. this has continued and every morning it turns on for about five seconds then turns off for a couple minutes then back on and so on throughout the day it will turn on and off periodically. nothing is wrong with the connections and i know it's not the sub or it wouldn't be playing. i assume it's something to do with the amp which is an audison srx 650 watt amp. is it clipping or what and do i need to return this amp to it's authorized dealer or what please help somebody.

I'm not 100% sure that I'll say all of this right, but I'm going to wing it. Let's just say you want to build a single reflex bandpass box, but you want to use a sub that isn't recommended for sealed enclosures. How do you find out how large to make the sealed part of the enclosure?

I'm currently in the process of upgrading my subwoofers. Currently I have two Diamond audio 15inch d3 in a ported prefab box powered by Mmats pro audio d2000.1, I have the Diamond audio d672 component sets in the front and diamond d6 coaxiles in the back powered by diamond audio d3 500.4 amplifier. I love the d3 subs but need something more powerful. I would like four 15s and I dont want to spend more then 350 per sub. I'm picking between ssa icons, fi q, ascendant audio havocs, or the incriminator audio death rows. I'm looking for the sub with the best LOUD SOUND QUALITY and really hit the low notes. I listen to a lot of rock, techno, a little rap, r&b, and classical…

I'm considering buying a used Rl-i 12" to use in my '93 Nissan Altima. I've run an Ascendant Audio Atlas12" (now part of a set in my work van) as well as a Memphis PR12 and currently, an MClass12" (Memphis also). I'm using a smallish 1.2cf sealed box w/o any fill and have a USAcoustics2100 (300x1 @4ohm/12.9v). The MClass has pretty good SQ but lacks output (not as loud as the PR IMO). What is the VC configuration of the older RL-i 12 and would the power I have be enough to be happy with it or does it require more? Any box sizes that would work better sealed? How does it compare w/the subs I mentioned if any of you have owned or heard them? Thanks!! Jeremy

Hi guys, i was wondering if you can give some suggestions for a sub that my friend could use with the info i got from him... - small maybe 10" or even 8" - musical sounding sub - can go loud abit i think? - good for sealed enclosures - good for 500W only or maybe less for efficiency - max of $300 if possible i think the reason for small is he plans to put in in the corner of the trunk. behind the tail lights. and if im not mistaken, he needs it for .7 or less cubes after displacement. he was thinking of putting flat subs/slim subs but i advised him to wait, and ill try to get more suggestions for i think slims subs output would not be enough for him, but if you can sugg…

going in sealed box for daily bumpage, looking for a mix of sq and spl. the amp is an MA audio m1889i rated at 800 rms at 2 ohms. I can get the subs for similar prices. which would you choose and why?

I have a sa8 in a 1.0cubic ft Ported box around 33-34hz the sub is 400 rms and I have a planet audio Tq1601d monoblock amp. I want to run it at 2 ohm but thats pushing 800rms. Do you guys think the sub can handle that power? I mean, gains down and careful tuning on my headunit the sub shouldn't be in danger right? At 4 ohms the amp pushes 500rms.

As in the title i really want sq and spl since i only will have one 8. it will be ported in the trunk running off 500w

im having some trouble making a decision on what size btl i wanna get. i have a 2000 4 door chevy blazer and i wanna try to keep the box height under the back of my seat. it will be ported. i cant make up my mind between 3 of the 12's, 2 15's or 1 18. if i do the 3 12's i can give them about 2.5 cubes a piece after displacement. the 15's would be a bit of a squeeze. the 18 i think would be fine in about 7-8 cubes. i cant decide what i want. im looking for something that i can beat on daily but i still want them to be able to get LOUD cause i do compete at local meca shows. any input would help also if you have some recommendations for other subs for around the same price …

between these three subs... which would u do? two of these infinity's? these two alpines? these two diamonds? remember, these are going into my wife's car, now going to be pushed by this hifonics amp lemme know....btw due to price (staying under $300 shipped, her budget, not mine) these are the only choices unless u know of a pair of 10's brand new, either svc 2 ohm or dvc 4 ohm that can handle 375 wrms a piece, and will ship the pair for under $300...then those are my only choices.. btw, i'm starting to go infinity(love the look), diamond, then the alpine later.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

When did this happen? It looks like the website was just updated recently. Any chance there are some of the 'old' model ixl 10.2.2 and 12.2.2 with the lower FS kicking around to be purchased? With my application sealed is a lot easier (yes the recommended ported sizes are small, but you still have to get a port in there). I can't do 2.5cubes so the 15.2.2 is out of the question.

Hey everyone I'm looking for a system for my 1995 Ford f-150 single cab pickup and I was looking to get a single 10 in icon sub for it but I'm still undecided on what I want I was looking for something that would be more than enough for it but I'm not sure on everything I will need for it and was wondering if you all had some suggestions that would make it loud but also sound good.

i have a MA Audio hk15x2 and i was wondering if i am able to invert it. and if i do that i have to invert the polarity right?
