I just ordered to Fi Q 15 subs and a AQ2200D amp. I currently have some Best Buy pioneer speakers in my truck and would like to know what i should up-grade to for better sound quality at high bass volumes. I am putting this setup in an ext. cab dodge dakota, so i will have to get 2 pair of these speakers or component system. I am will to spend up to about the $200 range. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your input.

ok i know i said i was going to get the AA Havocs but ive been brought to light about the SSA Icons and i kno youtube videos do no justice but ive been trying to do a comparison between these two subs... does the SSA icon have a foam or rubber surround? which would sound better in a sealed box? Ported? which one would satisfy my audio needs... better yet which one would last longer? which would go better with a sundown 3000d

Well i just found out how simple it is to lift the rear seat of my truck which will give me chittons more airspace. HOORAY! Here is a potential box design i will use. http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/genera...r-seat-box.html With that down-firing design I would get approximately 1.55 ft^3 before sub displacement per sub chamber. or about 3 ft^3 for total airspace. If i reworked the design and made it up-firing, it would bring the total enclosure volume to about 3.6 ft^3. So with that amount of space to work with, I want more SQ than SPL but still like to bump from time to time. I used to have 2 RE se12s sealed.(Loved em). I listen to all kinds of music. Budget - hop…

I was using SEAS Prestige 27TFFNC/G (H1396) tweets for a while and really liked them. They got stolen and my plan was to either buy new ones or go with the LPGs. Any opinions? They are currently paired with a Dayton RS125-8 5" but the the daytons don't output enough for me. I threw them in my doors because they were all that I could fit. I'll likely switch them out for a pair of my MLI65s or something. Deck is a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS running active. Thanks in advance for any advice.

How are these subs? Are they loud? Do the sound clean? How do you think they compare to the SSA dcons? I'm getting either a pair of the Level 2 15s for sealed operation, a pair of Level 2 12s for ported or a pair of the dcon 12s for ported operation. I'm looking to purchase one of these pair of subs today! Do the Level 2s get loud sealed? I just want a loud and clean setup. Either pair will be powered by 700 watts.

i'm thinking about adding a cheap 10" sub to my dad's home audio setup. i was thinking about a RE re10d4 in 1.5cu @ ~28hz or something along these lines. his stereo receiver has a sub preamp output so i can just buy a cheap mono amp (100-200w) for power. the sub will be going with a pair of monitor audio rs6 towers in a medium/large living room. for price reference the re subs go for about $50ea. i was also looking at the dayton hf but they're about twice as much, i'm trying to stay under $75 shipped if possible. any suggestions???

Hi guys, i'm a total noob at car audio stuff and need some help in deciding what setup will best deliver good bass in my car. I would like to run 2 12s in these enclosures that i bought off ebay. (Should have done more research into volume of enclosures etc, but got carried away and bought one for the left and right hand side ) ) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-VY-VZ-Holden-Co...A1%7C240%3A1318 I currently have a pioneer P5050UB head unit and preferably would like the rest to remain the same but would not mind using other brands if there are cheaper better options out there. Could someone please recommend the appropriate subs and amps for my car? I have a large sedan with p…

I came across some Clif Design subs that are built in America. I emailed them to ask who the supplier is and the tech told me to name a few and he'd give me a yay or a nay as they don't openly give out that info. About all I know is Eminence. Dayton? DD builds their own, right? So that's just DD. Do they build for other companies? RF has an american plant IIRC. I wouldn't think they subcontract. Does JBL make some here? ???

  14. I am purchasing either of these pairs of 12s this weekend. Either set will be powered by a JBL GTO 1200.1 II amp wired to do 700 watts 4 ohms. Either set will be in a Pound That Sound Double Kerf Flared ported enclosure. I looked at many pairs of 12s and narrowed it down to these 2. I want a setup that'll get loud and sound clean. I listen to mostly rap and bass and on ocassion some rock and metal. 2 SSA dcon 12's or 2 DC Sound Labs Level 2 12's

I got 2 Funkin Audio MF12G2 12"s and one is working fine reads 3.6 Ohms the other is reading nothing. It has a very wired way they get wired I can post a diagram here if needed. But the bottom line is I wired them both up the same one worked one is not. Any idea on who could fix one of these as they are no longer around. Could I just use it's motor and basket and recone it with FI BTL soft parts or someone elses and switch it to dual 2 ohms? If anyone can do this please let me know what would need to be done..

This post goes along with the one I asked about in the Amplifier forum..... I've never heard of them, but the product looks beefy enough. And, for what my costs might be, I'm wondering if they would be worth taking a chance on dropping some coin on. Massive QC15 I'd really like to try THIS monster out...... SQX 15

Whats up guys. I am currently in the market for two solid SQ 12's to run off of the SAE-1200D I have on the way. This will be going in another vehicle of mines. I have never done a dual 12 setup so I figured it was about time to try it out. I am currently running a AA Havoc 12" on a SAE-1000D in my daily driver, so I am looking for something similar that will get LOW and maintain SQ. Thanks in advance for the forthcoming input!!!!
