Any one think there is a better quality and sounding sub out there for the price.

What would be louder? Currently have a bl 15 in a 3.1 cu box. I was wondering if two Sa 10's in a walled trunk would sound louder then my one 15? I dont know if this makes any difference but my 15 is firing upwards in the back of my car.

Hi All, I am currently looking to upgrade my two Audioque HDS3.1 (probably 4-5 years old or so, but still in good condition) which is currently paired with a SKAR SK-2500. They sound great but I am looking for deeper and lower bass so I was considering getting just one large sub (a 15" or 18"). I currently have a car audio battery so I think I have enough power and have just recently understood that more cone surface area equals deeper and fatter bass. I currently have a 2003 Lexus GS300 so probably will lay it in the trunk. I think the amplifier is pretty good unless any of you have any different opinions, I am very open to hearing about it. i have a set of the hybrid clarus c61-2s. i let them break in for a few days and decided to tune them today. everything sounded great until my right tweeter cut out. the mid on the right side and the left tweeter and mid are fine though. tried different songs. and it cuts out on songs with alot of highs. i have a kenwood kdc-X994. ive tried setting the gains with volume 25/35 30/35 and 35/35. i emailed kenwood and they said theis headunit doesnt clip at any volume. i adjusted the gains everythime i changed the volume and it still cuts out. if i turn the gains down the tweeter is ok but im eally losing output. checked both tweeters with a dmm and they read the same. cant …

Has anyone used these subs? Im currently running two wired at 4 ohm bridged to a 2 Channel Planet Audio 2600.2. Its getting 1800 rms. Can these subs safely be over powered because i know some subs are rated lower than what they can actually take. Also, if anyone has used these subs, have you ever been metered?

If Nick says it is punchy and tight, then let my town rain with 15" D2s. Any1 here want to justify why they would go for a 12"?

Ok As the title states, I have a BL 15 that locked up on me. I thought the coil just burned but after taking it out and looking at the magnet it seems that the top plate and the first magnet in the stack are about 1/8" offset from the rest of the magnet stack. I pulled the cone and coil out and yep the pole and the bottom 2 magnets along with the bottom plate are moved over. Is there suposed to be some kind of epoxy between the magnets to keep them from moving or do they just get held there under screw pressure? I have never reconed a speaker but I would like to fix this one if possible. Can I just loosen the screws and relign the magnets then put the new cone assy in? Th…

So I'm going to be in that area in 2-3 weeks - picking up a boat I purchased in Cottage Grove. Figure I would camp out in St. Cloud since it is north of Minneapolis, which means easy driving from there. Would love to hitch up with a few folks in the area. Might bring down a couple of goodies.. Does anybody have experience Customizing TRF Motors? Im looking to create a low end monster with pretty good sound . It will be a 18" woofer thats a daily driver. Are there any particular parts I should request as far as layers to the voice coil or a certain size spiders? Im probably going to go through PSI and have it built.

I know there were a couple of reviews on mach 5 products, most of which are gone. So if you posted the review on an other forum, maybe you could post it here again. Just a thought

i bought this sub maybe 5 years ago... i bought this sub while on the search for something more then the normal JL kicker blah blah blah.. meanwhile this sub was like 400 bucks.. and i found one that had a broken basket for 30 bucks or so so i bought it only to get it in hand and see how it was build, and the quality of the sub.. long story short.. i bought 2 BL15s and thats how i met SSA, any how.. this thing has a 4 inch V/c and so forth.. i guess my question is... before i put it on CL for 20 bucks.. can this motor be taken off and used on another basket??? and if so will FI's or someone elses 4 inch BL VC be used on a 18 inch sundown basket? anyhow im all j…

Hello All: This is my first venture into subwoofers and am hoping to build a Mach MAW-15 sub for Home Theater purposes. I have a prefab sealed cabinet with an internal volume of 2.5 cu. ft. I hope to drive it with a Parts Express SA240 or 240 watt plate amp. As the MAW-15 is rated at 500W RMS whereas with only 240w AMP - Is this power be sufficient to push the MAW-15 for Ht purposes. I humbly request your advice if I am on the right track in purchasing this driver. Keep up the gr8 product line! Kudos! Thank You! TSS

I've got a '94 single cab sonoma that all this is going in. This is my second stereo, last one got jacked. Amp: Crunch PowerZone 4-Channel Amplifier (PZi175.4). Sub: Dayton RSS265HF-4 10" Reference HF Subwoofer 4 Ohm 350w RMS. Tweets: Morel MDT-12 1-1/8" Neodymium Tweeter 80w Mids: Dayton Classic DC130-8 6" 50w Crossover: Dayton XO2W-3K 2-Way Crossover 3,000 Hz Box will be roughly 2 cubes ATLEAST. Hey SSA, I am in need of some help selecting which subwoofers to go with that would be fit my application. I'm going to try to give as much info as possible about goals, requirments ect.. I have done lots of research on the drivers that I'm considering and while there all quality drivers, I do not have personal experance with any of them so it's somewhat hard to make a choice. Vehicile: 2002 Acura RSX. The car is a hatchback for those who do not know. My plan in to build custom fiberglass enclosers for two 10 inch subwoofers on each side of the hatch. hey guys....new here and i just bought a pair of NIB SA-12s from a member on here as well as a MB Quart DSC1500.1...... i am about to start building a box in the next few days and using the box calculator this is what i come up with.....seems to fit the parameters of the subs well and from what i have been reading i think i am pretty close.....just wanted some opinions and some input from some of you guys first before i go ahead with it.... the dimensions below are kinda all i have to work with....i have a 2009 Jeep wrangler unlimited and wanna stay in the back under a cover.....basically i have 36x15x22......i wanna do a slot ported box..... thanks

Ok well I thought I was gonna get me a few lvl4 12's to put in my car and do a lower class in NSPL. But I found a pickup that I am thinking about buying and just cutting the hell out of it. So if I get this truck I believe I may do a bit of serious bass racing. So My question is could a lvl5 15/18 take an IA 40.1 daily. I have never been known to care for the one note wonder and never shy enough not to let any one that wanted to take a listen and look around. Up until recently Ive been thinking about going with a single 12" BL, SX, LVL4 XL, or BTL. But now after talking to Rusty, Im thinking anout going with 2 10s instead. Im still currently in the planning stage and i wanted some imput on what to do. Ill have roughly 2.5ft?^3 to work with under my back seat after I lift it 2 inches. I mainly listen to rap, and my goals are to get loud and low. ill currently do not have an amp, but ill be matching the amp to the sub/s.

I have a 4000 watt hifonics brutus amp, and im have trouble deciding which subs i should get. i have been thinking about getting 1 18btl but i have herd that getting just one 18 btl is not a good idea. why is that not a good idea? if its not a good idea what subs should i look into, i have a trail blazer so space is pretty much unlimited, and im looking to spend no more than 750 for sub(s). Or have i herd wrong is one 18btl the way to go, i just want to bump really hard im not looking to enter into competitions and such just for my everyday driving, ha and maybe to show off a little. any and all help is appreciated.

Ive heard alot about magnums and re subs. I wanted to know if the 12" magnums will be a better sub for spl over the 12" re sx.
