just picked this up used. hopefully have it going by april biggest ported box i can fit is 3.2 cubes net tuned to 33 hz. gonna try that out and maybe go sealed if it doesn't work out

Hi everyone, just put this new box in my trunk. Thought you all would like a peek. I built and installed this box in about 5 hours, so dont make fun of me. Its 3.5 cubes and the port.... well i really dont know how to port, the box was an experiment, its a slot port 3'x30.5'. It gets a lot louder than the two 15's that i had before. oh yeah 1500watts from rockford fosgate, daily driven.

since 1 of my 10s is broken i decided to upgrade as i know a singel 10 wont hold me over lol if anyone wants to buy a single 10" let me know some old school RF! but wait it gets better! theres 2 of them and ill be using my hifonics BXi1606D to power the pair, hoping for a ported box but i might ahve to settle with a sealed one

got this recently. decided to snap some pics for you fellas. it's a hertz audio hi-energy 12. enjoy. pretty nice and simple cone with the Hertz logo on the dustcap. brightass orange magnet rubber boot. Natural fiber cone ftw. pretty plain looking butt. i'm still keeping my RL-p 15. more than likely the RLp will see home theater duties. box build will soon follow.

Finally got my sub from the UPS guy. I can't wait til I fab up a box for this baby. Anyhow...onto some pics! i'm loving the look of that motor! multiple vents for cooling. more cooling all around the top plate... next to my RL-p 15 More pics will follow as I construct the box sometime this weekend.

i have a 15 bl on a sundown 1500d and i want more. i was thinking bout an 18 death row. i want something thats gona be louder then my bl. i want an 18 so opinions would be nice. thanks

Went and met with the owner today at his shop......we bs'd around for awhile and took home a few subs! They have the AMH, KMH, and BD Series...I snatched 4 of the BD series 12's (Their biggest at the moment) Rated at a "conservative" 1,000rms .....from what i have heard they are VERY efficient subs! Only time will tell....me and owner are building a box for them within the next week....I'm likely gonna tune them to 33hz....maybe lower. Maybe i'll do a review and throw up some TL vids.... Anyway....on to some pics!

The Fi BTL NEO that I ordered has a 2ohm Re rating of 1.8 so wiring in parallel i should be at .9ish ohms before possible box rise and any damping factors. I bought the AA 3800.1D and just purchased a North Star AGM31 for the back. I know my box is built to spec, tuned at 32hz, braced like a champ and stiff as humanly possible...here is my question/concern... I just want to understand as much as i can without getting overly technical on ohm's and voltage vs impedance and it's variance...As a daily listener I'm just looking more about what power I will be feeding this sub while wired to "1" ohm around 13.5v...I just hope I don't fall into some 3 ohm situation after al…

Long story short i ended up wiring my Sundown 1000 watt amp positive positive(instead of negative) to my fi q postive negative wires. Sub only sounds good on lows(like 40 and below) anything else and it just sounds like garbage. My question is since this counts as user damage is it worth getting it repaired by the sundown and fi? or if you guys have any suggestions on anything.......because im guessing either of the 2 can be damaged. PS the thing that sucks the hardest about all this is i just purchased and installed my rainbow 265's and now that it was finally complete other than dynamat HALP

Alright folks my friends 200 watt fender bassman with a single 15. is extremly louder than his 2400 watt power amp running 4 15's. i think the poblem is in the amp the amp runs 2x1200 watts at 4 ohm. and the speakers run at 1200x2 at 8ohm. so i tried to run the amp mono to one speaker 2400watts at 4ohm to a 1200watt 8ohm speaker, that made it worse they didnt even get louder than a voice. the amp should be able to turn all the way up but it starts to blink the "im about to blow up light" at about half volume. what is his problem? help help help help help

Since I have a son my girl wants a car seat in both cars I have to take the 15s out the back seat and I won't be able to do my dp21 I'm thinking about 3 10s facing into the car and porting the back deck. I'm about to pick up a crunch 3000d and its going into a 02 Pontiac sunfire. The set up is going to be used more for everyday use tuned in the low 30s. the trunk is and will be sealed off from the trunk and the subs behind the back seat with about 5in of space Right now I'm thinking of fi Qs, ssd, aq2.5s or dc lv4 can u think of anything better? I'm going to use 2 6in Euro ports on the back deck where the 6x9s used to go. Do you think it will sound good or should I use 2…

well today i fried my backup frontstage ( just little 4x6's) well since that gone i have to buy something new becuasr the 4x6's are my only units with weeters. That means i cant get my darn 15 inch magnum!!!!!!!!! grrrrrr i was so mad today. but on the bright side im gunna replace those 4x6's with some Morel SUPREME's. but now that meANS i gotta go make kick pannels and istall the morel wr-4s to lol :thud:

Hi I am running two Zed audio Miniliths to one level 3 12 with the spl coils. I thought it would maybe be too much power but they take it very well. I have the sub woofer in a very small sealed box and it still hits very well and the frequencies are very pronounced. I would almost be willing to say it sound like 2 12s but it is not that loud. I was comin home today and why Mag stopped hittin so I was like WTF. I went and took it out of my box and the Cone came detached from the Spider. So I guess I should contact SI now or does any1 else have any suggestions. Does SI have a phone number I can call? How much do you think it will cost to fix? I don't have a camera for a pic cause I bet that would help. Plz help me.

I'll try to keep this short as possible. The other day I was browsing through the classsifieds over at ca.com. I stumbled upon an MX 12. So I said to myself that id like to try an MX, I heard great things about them, also they look sexy for my inverted install. So I offered to trade my 12" mag(current gen) for it. He said cool. i traded. I have had the mx now for about 3 weeks. I must say Im dissappointed The sound was kinda up there with the mag but it didnt have that certain "crisp" edge of sq that I liked in the mag. I could deal with that fine. well i will be building these as soon as i find some coils that will do the job. after some consulting i have been informed the coils i was going to use won't be optimum with these motors. but here are some pics of what i have as of now.

finally ported the 12" magnum 2 cubes to 30hz. im loving it, it gets nasty loud and sounds even better i think than sealed. I have it running off the viper d1200.1. I've been meaning to ask anyone on here if they can help me out with a noise problem with my speakers... It doesn't matter what speakers are hooked up to my amp, they start thumping rapidly when I have the engine off in my car and the key is in accessory. I turn up the volume from my head unit just to get some bass going and then when I reach a certain volume my speakers start thumping rapidly and it's not the music that's bumping because I'll play a slow song and then when I turn up the volume at a certain level where my speakers don't like it, they go crazy. When I'm driving around and play my music at that certain volume it's fine. It's only when the engine is off. I …

Ok so my sub stopped playing today; neither coil will measure either. The only thing that is bothering me is that I cannot understand why. I do not think I overpowered it in all honesty. I've had the same amp on it for 2 years. The coil visually looks brand new: no melted former or discoloration. I cannot see breaks in the tinsel leads or wire ANYWHERE. There is no evidence whatsoever that the bottom of the spider crashed into the top plate; none that I can see. There is no rubbing when I push down on the cone. I've tried the sub on multiple amps. Any ideas what broke on me? Tinsel leads broken inside of the spider? That wouldn't make a lot of sense, though. The spider is…

Yeah, I'm so happy right now, NOT! Anyway, I'm in my car with the beats going pretty good and all of a sudden the bass cuts out. I pop the trunk and run back to see WTF. My amp is on, it's not in protect, voltage is good, I'm f**kin clueless. Then as I'm about to stab the f**ckin sub it turns back on. Again, WTF. Then it doesn't exactly cut out but it plays at like 25% volume for a little while then comes back on then goes back to 25% vol. Hey guys, driving home tonight listening to my music normally @ around volume 22/60 The song "on my level" my wiz Khalifa played and it's probably one of my hardest hitting songs on my CD. I turned it up to 25/60 about a minute and a half into the song I'm at the red light and my sub was making a terrible noise! Like it was bottoming out. So I immediately turned my music down. When I got home I checked it out, everything seemed fine..
