Subwoofers / Speakers

Anyone familiar with elevation audio's Execution 12's or 15's? how good are they when compared to either DD 3500,RE SX,DC lvl3 and 4 etc(you catch my drift) in terms of street bass and possibly building a vehicle for bass boxing purposes?

So, I had some extra 6.5s sitting in my garage and was hopin i could use those in my truck, turns out i would have to do some pretty major work to get them in there due to the way the door is built, so i think i will just go with some of the same size, some 6x8's....does anyone know any good 6x8s before i end up going with some RF power serier component 6x8s? thanks

I got a new car and it has 3 speakers in the door. i have 6.5" and tweeter and need 4" should i GULP (so much $$$$) buy the right cross over and the 4" speaker for over $500 or put a 4" and make it my rear. if i make my 4" a rear i will need a new amp. unfortunately I'm looking at $500 eathar way i think, maybe not Will a 3 way blow my mind or 2 way with rear be as good? my specs right now: Head Unit: Alpine W200 Subwoofer: SI 15" Mag Sub Amp: Cadence A7+HC 1200@1Ohm Mids: CDT Eurosport ES-620 Mids Amp: HiFonics Son of Boltar 150x2@4Ohm Battery: Kinetik Power HC1800 Rear Speakers: none Everything is in a box as i plan my setup in new car

Sup guys, looking for a set of component speakers to run in the front. Going along imma get a 2ch. amp to go with it. I have a budget, from $100-250. Do you guys have any favs? I was specifcally looking at MB quart and Alpine. I want a 3way component set as well ,not 2way. let me knw guys!

Hey all. Question, I'm looking at some component sets and have come across both Pheonix Gold RSDs and Arc Audio 600.6 sets and really like both. RSDs are $40 cheaper, but what do you think of arc audio? Are they worth the extra $40? Thanks Arc Audios Pheonix Golds

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has had expierience with these tweeters. My cous wanted to get some of these or the "horns" To play around with. Anyone had expierience with the horns? I have never heard a tweeter horn. He has, that is why he wantes some to play around with in his van. I dunno though, any thought on these?

How many watts can a BL Fully Loaded handle without any problems?

I saw some mj-18 motors for sale and I was wondering could those be reconed into 15's using IXl baskets and softparts? if so please let me know. Thanks, Ryan

i THOUGHT about doing a wallor none wall enclosure in my car with three 18's of four 15's...does 18's have the same accuracy as a 15? i know it will play deeper because of the cone area..and yes i did search

I've often seen that running a sub at lower impedance will increase distortion. Is it possible to generalize at all in this question? For a given sub, you have to try it out, or is it possible to say that at a final load of 4 ohm, you are unlikely to percieve distortion? I am asking because, if there is a risk, it might affect both amp and sub choice due to monetary limitations.

I am trying to figure out the best way to accomplish my goals here while maintaining a reasonable budget. i will eventually go higher end, but for now i have other things i need to spend money on. With my original doors in place i was limited to a 6.5-7" midrange and tweeter. I was considering the Seas prestige textile domes for the high end, and the AA Poly's or the ID Oem's from the guy on CA.com that are like tweaked CX64 drivers. New setup was built around DLS Iridium 8.3's with a 8 inch midbass, 3 inch midrange, and 1.1" tweeter. the actual door panel has a sealed enclosure of expanding foam and 1/4" thin birch ply attached, but i will have to cut it apart and reshap…

Im debating whether to send a kicker 1500zx back and get a Rockford Fostgate T20001 but would that overpower a BL FL at 2 ohms because from what I hear the Rockford Fostgate is way underrated on the cover, but in the box it shows 800w+ then the cover Would it be worth the trouble to send a kicker 1500zx back and spend $100 on this Rockford? I picked up a Old School Memphis 1500 today and was wondering what should i pair it with. I mostly want SQ but also want my sub to be LOUD. I listen to all types of music, mostly rap but also R&B, rock, and death metal. I was thinking of going with these subs: 1 Memphis Mojo 15, 1 AA Havoc 15, or 1 Orion HCCA 12.

Getting one of these as a temporary sub to try out. Trying to figure out how they are, what to do for an enclosure, and how much power i can safely give it. i have probably about 1200 on tap, the last owner said he was running it @ 2 ohms on an SAE1000 and it'll take more. Im bout to buy 2x 18" RD Audio Alpha V.2 subs from someone on here.... I was wondering if anyone knew the recommended airspace for each sub, and the best tuning frequency for these subs as well.... as of now, I have a box designed for both at 13 ft3 after port displacement and drivers and crap with a port space of 177 square inches and 20" long tuned to 34hz.... so basically im giving each sub around 6.5 ft3 tuned to 34hz ..... to me, this seems good, but I was wondering if anyone on here has played with these subs and if you could give me your opinion on the best box to run these things in? RDAudio.net doesn't have the box recommendations up yet... sooooo help please....…

Hey guys, I'm looking for my first system! I want 2 12"s. I dont want to pay more than 250 a piece for each sub. I'm trying to stay under 1600 RMS for the two subs combined. I'm really choosing between 2 12" Fi SSD's, 2 12" Diamond Audio D6's, or 2 12" Alpine Type R's. I'm going to be putting them in a ported box as i listen to a lot of rap and hip hop.
