hey everybody, I've narrowed down my search for 6.5" 2 way component speakers... ::Pheonix Gold RSD 65cs (60/120 watts rms/peak each) ::Massive Audio SK6 (100/220 watts rms/peak each) ::Massive Audio CK6 (130/280 watts rms/peak each) ::Massive Audio TK6 (120/270 watts rms/peak each) I'm not sure of what amp i will be powering the speakers with yet. I plan on running an Fi BTL with them so I'd like something loud enough to keep up with it. What do you think would be the best choice/why... thanks! Andrew

So i'm getting bored... i have a sundown 1500 and i want to try out some different subs.... thinking about maybe three different subs.... the icon or the mag or the nightshade.... wut are the pros and cons of both.... and if you have any personal experience with them please share... thanks!

What is the mounting depth for the mach 5 IXL 12, and is why is the sd on this woofer smaller that most other 12" woofers

Well I got the deck I wanted. The alpine 9887. I wanna go active but wanna make sure it this will work Need some pointers if not Option 1 will be using 2 100.2 ( one amp for tweets and one for mid basses) The tweets will be wired to 8ohm ( 2 wired in Series) Midbasses will be wired to 2ohm ( 2 wired in Parallel) Option 2 Tweets will be wired to 4ohm ( wired to each channel) Midbasses will be wired to 2ohm ( 2 wired in Parallel)

I got a new car and it has 3 speakers in the door. i have 6.5" and tweeter and need 4" should i GULP (so much $$$$) buy the right cross over and the 4" speaker for over $500 or put a 4" and make it my rear. if i make my 4" a rear i will need a new amp. unfortunately I'm looking at $500 eathar way i think, maybe not Will a 3 way blow my mind or 2 way with rear be as good? my specs right now: Head Unit: Alpine W200 Subwoofer: SI 15" Mag Sub Amp: Cadence A7+HC 1200@1Ohm Mids: CDT Eurosport ES-620 Mids Amp: HiFonics Son of Boltar 150x2@4Ohm Battery: Kinetik Power HC1800 Rear Speakers: none Everything is in a box as i plan my setup in new car

how do people take the sub out of the basket without wruening the subwoofer i seen it in one of steve meades builds and i have seen it in others

Well, they are shipping and I do have mine. It sounds great, the output is less than I am used to, but still more than I need. Listening to songs the biggest difference I notice is how pointed and short some of the notes actually are compared to how long they seemed on my BMs. They sound much closer to my B&Ws in my room, just pin pricks of sound where it should be with no hangover. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a true SQ sub. Now the caveats: If you are looking for a loud sub that can take more than 1000 watts this is not the sub for you. i THOUGHT about doing a wallor none wall enclosure in my car with three 18's of four 15's...does 18's have the same accuracy as a 15? i know it will play deeper because of the cone area..and yes i did search

So, I had some extra 6.5s sitting in my garage and was hopin i could use those in my truck, turns out i would have to do some pretty major work to get them in there due to the way the door is built, so i think i will just go with some of the same size, some 6x8's....does anyone know any good 6x8s before i end up going with some RF power serier component 6x8s? thanks

Hey all. Question, I'm looking at some component sets and have come across both Pheonix Gold RSDs and Arc Audio 600.6 sets and really like both. RSDs are $40 cheaper, but what do you think of arc audio? Are they worth the extra $40? Thanks Arc Audios Pheonix Golds

Anyone familiar with elevation audio's Execution 12's or 15's? how good are they when compared to either DD 3500,RE SX,DC lvl3 and 4 etc(you catch my drift) in terms of street bass and possibly building a vehicle for bass boxing purposes?

How many watts can a BL Fully Loaded handle without any problems?

I've often seen that running a sub at lower impedance will increase distortion. Is it possible to generalize at all in this question? For a given sub, you have to try it out, or is it possible to say that at a final load of 4 ohm, you are unlikely to percieve distortion? I am asking because, if there is a risk, it might affect both amp and sub choice due to monetary limitations.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has had expierience with these tweeters. My cous wanted to get some of these or the "horns" To play around with. Anyone had expierience with the horns? I have never heard a tweeter horn. He has, that is why he wantes some to play around with in his van. I dunno though, any thought on these?

I am trying to figure out the best way to accomplish my goals here while maintaining a reasonable budget. i will eventually go higher end, but for now i have other things i need to spend money on. With my original doors in place i was limited to a 6.5-7" midrange and tweeter. I was considering the Seas prestige textile domes for the high end, and the AA Poly's or the ID Oem's from the guy on CA.com that are like tweaked CX64 drivers. New setup was built around DLS Iridium 8.3's with a 8 inch midbass, 3 inch midrange, and 1.1" tweeter. the actual door panel has a sealed enclosure of expanding foam and 1/4" thin birch ply attached, but i will have to cut it apart and reshap…

I've been an OZ Audio for the past 13 years. Unfortunately, they are no longer making speakers. I've been looking for a new company to go with as far as speakers and have been hearing a lot of good things about Hybrid. I can't seem to find any specs on the Legatia Pro series? Specifically the 6.5" comp set (or 7.1?). My speaker locations have a very limited outer diameter and mounting depth. Thanks

I'm in the process of planning out another system for my car. I have a Hyundai XG300 with about 5 cubes max to work with. I already have Infinity Kappa Components in the front and rear currently only powered by the H.U. (Alpine CDA-9886). For the sub woofer i have an 18" Fi Audio Bl With all options in a 5cuft box tuned to about 32Hz being pushed with a Kicker ZX1500.1. I Have Knu Konceptz Kolossus 1/0 AWG wire for power/ground with a Red Top under the hood. I have a Rockford 360.2 acting as my current S.S.F.
