So i have a friend giving me 4 RF 12" punches tomorrow in a big sealed box. I'm wanting to put it in my car just to see how it sounds. I'm pretty sure the punches are 4 ohm DVCs. Anyone have a good diagram on how I should wire these for minimal impedance? It would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone is curious on how they perform, I will shoot a video and post it on here.

I have always wonder this, exactly what is the difference between these different speaker configurations. I want to know the difference, well the reason behind the following. Two-Way speaker Three-Way speaker Four-Way speaker Would like to know the Purpose, Pros/Cons of said above. Also, would appreciate some shed of light comparing this/these to an active or passive setup. For example, I know some people decide to buy a woofer for midbass/midrange purposes and company it with a tweeter. Ok, that makes sense to me. Im going to get a SX, but my dilemma is what to get. I got a little over 2cubes that im wiling to give up on a daily basis. What im looking at is either a ported 12 or a sealed 15. I know most will say the 12 just due to basic output levels, but ive always had a hard time putting a single 12 in anyone of my vechicles, ive always gone with a 15. The only thing that is the saving grace for the 15 is that I DO have this really nice box sitting around at home that I used to have my 15 HC in. I added a sa-10 in my nissan 350z and i notice i am having trouble hearing the music a little in my car with the sub turn all the way up. So i had to back down on the gain some tell the music sound better. now i am running stock component set's in my door's which i understand is the cause of my problem. My question is if i were to replace the tweeters with lets say some really nice jbl tweeter's i have would this help with my music tell i save up some money for better component set's.

Okay so I took some measurements today just to see how much space I have to work with. The idea is to keep my third row seats. That was the main reason why I brought a suburban instead of a tahoe. So far this is what I've came up with. *Note all measurements are external* Height: 23 3/8 inches or 28 1/2 inches if I go up to top of headrest Width: 49 inches Depth: 28 3/4 inches I went to 12volt.com to use their volume calculator and it came out to roughly 15 cft of internal volume space. i got just bought a four re sx 15's from a guy at work after i hooked it up but something about it i dont like so im selling it as soon as i get back home its in a caprice but anyway do you guys think i should go with four ported 12's i think they will fit or two ported 15's? im looking at the btl twelves or the t3 tss twelves what do yall guys think?

well actually it's a good day but also sad. a few days ago i got a 1999 s10 xtreme standard cab with bagssss baby! that's the good news. the bad news is i have no way of fitting my 15" d2 in my truck. it's a standard cab with bench seats. in my blazer, i had that baby in a 4ft^3 box ported to 32hz and it was crazy nice. i don't really wanna make a blow through in this truck because it has only 35,000 miles and it's in mint condition. the frame wasn't c-notched for the bags or anything (sadly i don't lay frame...yet). so yeah. umm...is there anyone who has fit a 15" in a standard cab truck without creating a blow through and without having my steering wheel at my knees wit…

Are amplifiers really needed for these speakers? I have coaxial speakers that replaced my factory ones. My factory ones were 25RMS and my new ones are 60RMS in the front, and 65RMS in the back. They crank up really loud and they are in the factory locations with the factory wiring. I think they sound amazing, but I always hear about amplifiers for these mids & highs. Are they needed?

What would be the best enclosure for 2-12" IA Lethal Injections? What's the difference between ported and bandpass? I've seen the response curve of both. The bandpass seems to peak about 35hz and drop about 60hz peaks about 40hz and holds it. What is this telling me? Will the manual for the subs tell me the preferred box dimensions for these.

I have a sundown sa 15.Its in a custom box at 33hz, powered by a hifonics brutus 1200. I have cheap 1200 watt amp kit from walmart right now but here very soon im upgrading to knukonceptz kca 1/0 amp kit. First question is : will i tell a difference in loudness or quality from this better wire? 2nd question is : how should tune my amp for my sub. Right now i have everything set to half way. Hey guys here's the plan. Don't worry about box size, trunk in the cad is huge. I want to run 2 or 4 subs, 15s or 12s. Power isn't a concern, I've got tons of Helix B Ones in the shop to use. What are some cheap subs to run to get as much as I can on music for daily and customer demo. I'm talking cheap. I've got 2 Hifonics HFI12d4's around the shop and they're available but don't know if I'm going to use them. Budget is $200 MAX, the cheaper the better.

I'm trying to decide between a pair of 12s for sealed operation. As most of you know I had an Icon 15. My girlfriend just got a new Nissan Murano and I gave it to her to start her system with. The 15 was just taking up too much space in my trunk not to mention I've been missing having a sealed setup. I have always favored sealed setups with a pair of 12s and need help deciding between these pairs. I have a 15 inch Fi SSD with a bout 800 watts going to it. I want to get some front 6.5 components that will be able to keep up with it. I have a kicker 150.2 amp so that should be able to do about 100 watts x 2. Budget around 100 dollars but I will go higher or lower if its worth it.
