Hey.... I recently sold my BL 18'S and want to either go with a BTL 18 or an re xxx 18. I am wondering which would be better in my application..... mainly spl oriented set up to be used daily. I must say I loved my bl's and don't know much about RE subs. Thanks

2 10'' lethal injections 2 10'' Sound Splinter RL-i 2 10'' Cerwin-Vega Vmax 2 10'' kicker l7s Now i would be able to build the recomended box for all. Also i will be using a 2000 watt (max) dhd amp, it could be lowered if need be. Which would be best for spl purposes? thanks for your time!

hey, i've been looking into some different subs and the audioque caught my eye. im not gonna lie im not asking for sq or anything, its my daily driver but im not an sq guy ( dont want it to sound poopy but you know what im saying) i would power them with 3000 ( for both ) and i want it to sound musical, what size box would you recomend? how small would they work in and what tuning would you use, i've read that you should tune the hdc3's higher ( above 35 hz, if i read right ) thank you for helping out a noob -tyler

Like it says...any thoughts on which is better? I can get either set for the same price for the 6.5" component set. This will be for my Jeep Cherokee system and whatever I get will see 100-150w RMS depending on the amp I get. I listen to pretty much everything but rap and country. I'll have two Sundown Audio SA-8's handling bass duty.

Are there any updates forthcoming for the Kicker Component sets? I'm still pondering about what to replace my CDT's with. Not too much info on the home page... Thanks -Nick

  12. right now i have a mag 15 in 3.7@27 hz box off 1000 rms and i'm getting a kicker zx1500.1.I was wondering if 2 15's getting 1500 rms in a sealed box(2.5 per driver) will be a lot louder? noticeably? just thinking about a new set up since i have a kicker zx1500.1 coming. But if i won't notice much difference i may just sell the kicker amp.

  13. hey guys, right now i got the box build already, it's a 11.2 cube box sealed. I was using a bunch of left over wood. one IXL 18 is going to go into it. I could add (3) 4 inch ports and make it a 10.7-ish cube box tuned to 16hz, or I could keep it sealed. it's going to get about 900rms. what should i do? I haven't ordered the sub yet. If I was to do sealed, i thought i'd go with the high Qt. I'm just afraid the 10.7 cubes is too small for ported, or will it be ok? since sealed would be in such a big box, wouldn't the lows be comparable to the ported box? say in the 15-20hz? or not really?

I was thinking of taking the subwoofer out of my room and putting it in my truck(temporarily) until I buy my stuff I want. It has an RCA' and positve and negative wire. I was thinking connect the power to my remote wire, the negative to the ground and RCA to RCA. Is this a really bad idea? or what? Thanks guys

Well my GF's mom is getting her tax check soon which measn im going to be planning their systems soon. Her moms system is pretty cut and dry. Either cheaper ocmponets up fron in pods and coax's in the rear or coax's all aroudn and an RL-I 8 or 10 for the sub. My GF's car, however, im not sure. i was going to give her my audiobahn 10's and put them in a wicked one...but i found a buyer. Soooo im thinking about getting her 2 RLi 8's or 10's and putting them in a wicked one. However she wants to keep her trunk space so my idea is this. Seal the trunk off from teh cabbin and put the opening of the wicked one facing up on the rear deck and put an acoustically tansparrent fabr…

First off I want to start out by saying a big Thank You to Nick for the oppurtunity to demo the proto. Now on to business. There is a defect (if you call it) in this proto. Nick can explain it better, and has in other threads. but the VC makes a weird noise at high excursions do to a bad chrome job and it leaking onto the pole, etc. But this will not be presant in the 15s when produced. So as to performance of the driver, I was expecting a bit better than my current Mag but to my surprise it was way more than just a bit better. Taking the VC problem out of the equation, this driver is much louder than the previous Mag. On my alpine HU it reaches the loudness of my Mag at …

I just got myself a 2008 Toyota Tacoma and i am a sound quality guy. I was originally looking at two 10's sealed to go under the front seats. But then I saw that JL has that thin line subwoofer. Has anyone seen or heard the 13TW5 by JL Audio? I saw that and I was like "whoa...". And based on sound quality. I need some recommendations for a head unit. I like Alpines line of touch screens but then I dont. They almost seem cheap to me. Is there another brand or specific item that anyone can suggest? And as of front stage I have heard JL speakers and I was impressed. Their price tho is almost unforgiving. Has anyone had good experience with any other company? Any input is gre…
