Subwoofers / Speakers

Ok guys, I need help deciding if I should get either an eclipse TI 12" or a crystal cmpx2(if I can even find one). Both will be sealed, probably be running off and orion 1200D, and inside a reg cab truck. opinions plz.

sounds dumb i know... but what would be louder? 2 15" Kicker L7's or 1 18" BTL. im working with very little space and all being stuck with strict parents who want the spare tire to stay in the trunk of my jimmy so i have about 6.5 cubes at most. thats barely enough for either selection. either way i go i will make sure they have a good amp going to it and sufficent electrical. im just currious for what i have to work with, what would bang harder. im going with a ported box obviously. i REALLY want a BTL after seeing the amount of output these things do. i like my L7's aswell. im just curious and kind of new to this. A little about me. I have been out of car audio for a while. My last setup was two MMATS audio P3 12's in a ported box which was great in my Ford Ranger. I recently bought a MB Quart Discuss 1500.1 from a member here and ran it at 2ohms to a Hifonics Atlas 12 which blew within two days. That was admittedly my fault for turning the gain up too loud. I have a single cab Dodge Ram and would like to stay with one 12" subwoofer. My usable space is approximately 30"(w)X15"(h)X11"(d) for 2.12^3 ft of space. Alright, I have narrowed down my decision to three choices and I need help deciding which one to go with. The three possible choices i have come up with are, 2x 12" DC Level 3s 1x 15" DC Level 4 or 1x Fi Bl I will be using a Audioque 1200d for my amp with a stock alt and a extra battery in back. The boxes will all be tuned in between 32-34 hz built to specs given by the manufactures. I have heard great things about all these subs and I am stuck on which to choose. I am mainly looking for a loud but still clean sounding set up to play mainly rap/hip-hop music. I would like to hear any reasons you may have for which set up to choose. Thanks.

i drive a 2003 toyota tundra access cab with the door tweeters and i want to get a component set that will go well with a 15" fi bl. what do yall think i should look into?

I'm looking for the best set of component speakers around $100 and coaxial around $50-60. Doing a budget build in my new car. Speakers will be powered by NVX JAD900.5 about 70w at 4ohm First I was looking at the NVX V-series 6.5" component and coaxial. They have decent reviews I can get both speakers in a set for $129.99 What are some other options in the same price range. I'll be using a sundown sa-8 v3 for a sub. Just want something that will sound good with it.

I'm in the final stages of planning out the system for my 97 Maxima. So far, I have 4 Sundown E8 woofers and a SAX-100.4 amp ordered to cover the midbass. Not purchased, but planned, is a SAZ-3000D running 2 Fi Q15's sealed. I want to run 2 of the E8's in the rear deck where the stock speakers are now and the other 2 E8's in the stock speaker locations in the front doors. The E8's will be powered by the 100.4 in a 4 channel 4ohm config so I can fade as needed for staging. That brings me to the topic of this post. Hi All, I am currently looking to upgrade my two Audioque HDS3.1 (probably 4-5 years old or so, but still in good condition) which is currently paired with a SKAR SK-2500. They sound great but I am looking for deeper and lower bass so I was considering getting just one large sub (a 15" or 18"). I currently have a car audio battery so I think I have enough power and have just recently understood that more cone surface area equals deeper and fatter bass. hi i need help finding a good pair of 12s subs. my budget is about 500 dollars for the pair. i got a 03 mustang so i dnt got that much room for a big box maybe 2.5 for each sub space. i got 2 hifonics 2000 watt amps a kinetik 2000 battery. i listen mostly to rap music and i like to crank it all the way up till my ears hurt. if u guys can give me some ideas it b great. i was thinking of re audio sxx or fi audio bl but dnt really know about them. or if u guys know better subs let me know. thanks

My dad has an old Jensen box that had an 8 inch woofer and a 2 inch tweeter in it, it sounds great but the woofers surrounds are worn away now. I need to replace the woofer in it but I'm having trouble finding one to go with the tweeter, fit in the box, and match the rms of the amp. The tweeter is 8 ohm, the box has about 4.25 inches of space, and his amp puts out 75 rms at 2 ohms and 50 rms at 4 ohms. He needs this for rear fill and to add some bass. This is for his work van so I need to use these enclosures as they just fit behind the seats. If it helps the original box handling was 75 rms at 4 ohms.

As the title says, im looking to replace my 2 10s and Im having trouble finding some that work well in my enclosure. Its a sealed dual 10 enclosure with 1.1 cu ft for each sub. Everything I have looked at has an optimum sealed enclosure of .5-.8. Anyone have some suggestions for me, price range would be around 500 for the pair. Thanks

hey fellas yes im a noob on this system stuff ok so take it easy on me lol.. well ive already spent alot on my system. it bumps pretty good now but im a bass freak, but now i want low clean bass that travels like a mofo. i have an 04 extended cab right and i currently have 2 12" kicker cvxs in a ported box just chillin on top of my seat(ghetto i kno) they are bein pushed by 2 alpine pdx 1000.1 so 2k watts to each speaker. my problem is i want more deaper bass and i also wanna put the box under my back seat so 10" woofers would be my solution. i kno its gunna have to be a custom box. i was thinkin bout 4 mtx 8500 cuz they would go perfect with my amps or 4 kicker cvx but…

A friend of mine has just sold his 3 sets of Focal 6.5", and he wants to run P A speakers to be louder. He runs an Infinity amp (4 x 125 w rms @ 4 Ohms) and don't want to change amp or to add one more. He was going to get Beyma speakers (the pro series I think) but he wants to know what else can he get ? 2 sets of 6.5" speakers for the front doors. Nothing in the rear, except his 18" Soundstream XXX in a big ported box. He want something that can be loud but with good midbass. The tweeters will be a set of Beyma available locally: they get sooo loud ! He looked at the sundown neo pro, but never listenend to them. Is it a good choice over the Beyma ? I want a sub that has good sound quality so i was looking at the FI Q but i also want a sub that can hit hard as well... this is going in the trunk of a honda civic and im shooting for a size 15 maybe 2 15 but im not sure if 2 can fit in the trunk... also can anybody help me on considering good components...

Single cab 2003 tacoma. What i have to work with is length: 46 inches depth:11 inches height: 28 inches could go higher if need be and have bench seats so the sub would have to go in a bottom corner. Any help is much appreciated

Im building a ported sub box for two 12"Dcon D4's.im in to SQ more than SPL, witch would be better a 3.2ft^3 iternal volume tuned to 30hz with 45.in^2 port area. or a 4.0 ft^3 internal volume tuned to 30hz with 60.in^2port area? im new to building ported boxes so any help would be a help...lol... thanks,,,,,,PS im runing a RF T500-1dbcp
