  6. Went and met with the owner today at his shop......we bs'd around for awhile and took home a few subs! They have the AMH, KMH, and BD Series...I snatched 4 of the BD series 12's (Their biggest at the moment) Rated at a "conservative" 1,000rms .....from what i have heard they are VERY efficient subs! Only time will tell....me and owner are building a box for them within the next week....I'm likely gonna tune them to 33hz....maybe lower. Maybe i'll do a review and throw up some TL vids.... Anyway....on to some pics!

I have a 2002 pontiac bonneville, i have a FI BTL 18 right now, running of of an audiopipe aqx 3500. I ordered a ZCON 18 a few weeks ago and haven't built a box for it yet. The most i can get out of a box is around 6.5 cubes. Any idea which one will be better to go with? also, it's mainly for music thanks

So I was coming home from work yesterday and I was bumping at a decent volume. I started to smell something burning, but it wasn't coil. I took a reading of the coils from the amp today and wasn't getting the correct nominal. Took the sub out and read the coils from terminals. One coil wasn't reading out at all, and the other was reading like 12. Took the coil out and this is what I found: Recone was done in November or so. This sucks.. =[

  11. I've been meaning to ask anyone on here if they can help me out with a noise problem with my speakers... It doesn't matter what speakers are hooked up to my amp, they start thumping rapidly when I have the engine off in my car and the key is in accessory. I turn up the volume from my head unit just to get some bass going and then when I reach a certain volume my speakers start thumping rapidly and it's not the music that's bumping because I'll play a slow song and then when I turn up the volume at a certain level where my speakers don't like it, they go crazy. When I'm driving around and play my music at that certain volume it's fine. It's only when the engine is off. I …

I have a 03 Re Audio SE motor. I plan to use this as a learning experiance. I am in contact with Nick@fi about getting parts to build it into a 15. Anyway, I was wondering how people go about cleaning the CA off the top plate? I tried scraping it but that got me nowhere especially with the magnetic field pulling on it. Is there anything that breaks down CA glue that won't harm the motor? Also I cleaned the gap with sticky notes and a skinny wooden rule with masking tape on it. Is there any other ways I don't know about for future refference? The gap is clean and taped up now but it was a PIA. The SE was a 10 previously and suffered from coil rub. And it had shavin…

  16. I have a small car and having a family and all that am currently trying to use smaller and smaller audio solutions to maximize space to the point where I really don't even want a subwoofer in my trunk anymore. I really don't need very much bass, just something to fill out the lower end but I want an all in one sub so that I don't have to use anymore space for an amp, etc. So I know under-seat subs are not discussed nor recommended here but I was about to pull the trigger on one and then noticed that the Pioneer TS-WX70DA is now under $200 and it's a loaded horn design. But what interested me in this particular one is the below picture showing how thin it is and that…

So I want to do a new build with ssa subs. Current set up is a skar 1500 and a havoc 15 in 3.5 @ 33 hz. It don't not have to be louder than this just looking for some thing different. I have about 8 cubes of space. I'm border line for stock electrical but do have a xs2400 on the way. Goals are daily but I would like a pretty flat response like killing the lows. Maybe 2 15 dcons amp turned down of course or a xcon 18.

My take on the "Super Subs" from mostly first hand experince. RE XXX - Loudest LSQ sub when given the power is needs, Very good SQ. If you can fit a larger box over 3.5 cubes and can give it 2k watts its the best bet. If you have about 1k watts or less I would go with the brahma which will get just as loud and sound a tad better. Under $400 shipped which is a good value. Largest of the bunch also, takes a stong person to lift a 15 lol. Adire Brahma - Best SQ/LSQ of the 3. With 1k watts its just as loud as a XXX. Nice due to the fact it can work very well in a huge range of boxes. Adire also invented the technolgy used in the H2, some other dei crap, XXX and some others(XB…

Ok, I'm stumped. I have an Fi SSD 15" sub dual 2 ohm. and a sun down sae-1200d amp. The other day I was driving around beating, when all of the sudden my beats just stopped. After a few seconds the sub started beating again, then stopped again and hasn't come back on since. I got out to look everything over, all the fuses were good (including the one under my hood). The one thing I noticed was the amp was in protection mode. I turned my car off for a bit then turned it back on. I went back and looked at the amp, and the light was green for about 45 seconds, then switched to red ( Protection mode). ok this is where is gets weird. I unhooked everything and looked it over…

lately i've heard quite a few bigger name companies have used various TC sounds motors on their own sub lineups, and i'm wondering, is it possible to salvage the motors (and baskets?) to recone these subs? If so, which models should i be looking out for? I know Eclipse used some in their Ti and 8200 range, and Lightning Storm, Ground Zero etc, but i think Eclipse are going to be the easiest to track down. Also, who can recone these, and to what size? I've found that Fi can recone them in this thread, but it looks like their baskets arent a great fit for most motors. Any help appreciated guys

This is for a friend of mine, he doesn't care about SQ that much, he just wants an ok sound that is extremely loud, so i'm basically looking for a cheap 12" spl subwoofer. He would like to keep it under $150 per sub. He wants it really loud, i'm talking 140db loud if possible, th cheapest sub that you guys think can hit that, he wants two 12" subs.

Just picked up a pair in a trade. Probably going in my trailblazer. Anyone have any experience with these? I dig the lows and it's looking like I'll be tuning for 31-33Hz. Any trailblazer people have any tricks of the trade for the build? I'm thinking subs up, port back. This will be a daily on around 1k. Hi. I was just wondering what the best 4x6 front door speakers would have to be in your opinions. What I am dealing with is the following: 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT Stock Monsoon Sound System 2 Kicker Comp 12s Kicker ZX750.1 Mono Amp Kicker 4 Gauge Wiring Kit Kicker Rear 6x9s And now all I need is the front two stock door speakers replaced. I was wanting something with a high rms wattage but good quality as well. I was thinking the Kicker 4x6s since everything else I have is Kicker, but is there something better? I, personally, like Kicker, but I am looking for the best of the best here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
