Whats a good amp for 500 rms at 2ohms just got big three done and stock alt in single cab. I may just be a noob but ia it better to run at 2 ohms rathrr than 1 to not tax the hell out of my electric

I started a topic about this awhile back and started to get some input about midbass drivers, but that thread died. I listen to quite a bit of metal and need some real nice mid bass drivers...... no budget... 08 explorer 5x7 w/about 3.5 - 4in depth... ..i can do 8in drivers .... any help would be appreciated...

Magnum's are coming! 12" and 15" versions will be available on (estimated) February 27'th. The baskets that we previously used (the "claw" basket) are no longer available...ever. The company that made the baskets went out of business. The baskets we will be using are the 12-spoke baskets finished in a silver/gray powder coat. Pricing on the 12"s is $300 shipped (as usual), and the 15" versions will be $350 shipped*. *Pricing on the 15's is subject to change after we receive the drivers. $350 shipped is only for orders received before we obtain the shipment. all i wanna know is when? im soon to be selling my clarions and i need something around the 200-250 dollar per driver range.

So I want to do a new build with ssa subs. Current set up is a skar 1500 and a havoc 15 in 3.5 @ 33 hz. It don't not have to be louder than this just looking for some thing different. I have about 8 cubes of space. I'm border line for stock electrical but do have a xs2400 on the way. Goals are daily but I would like a pretty flat response like killing the lows. Maybe 2 15 dcons amp turned down of course or a xcon 18.

Ok, I'm stumped. I have an Fi SSD 15" sub dual 2 ohm. and a sun down sae-1200d amp. The other day I was driving around beating, when all of the sudden my beats just stopped. After a few seconds the sub started beating again, then stopped again and hasn't come back on since. I got out to look everything over, all the fuses were good (including the one under my hood). The one thing I noticed was the amp was in protection mode. I turned my car off for a bit then turned it back on. I went back and looked at the amp, and the light was green for about 45 seconds, then switched to red ( Protection mode). ok this is where is gets weird. I unhooked everything and looked it over…

This is for a friend of mine, he doesn't care about SQ that much, he just wants an ok sound that is extremely loud, so i'm basically looking for a cheap 12" spl subwoofer. He would like to keep it under $150 per sub. He wants it really loud, i'm talking 140db loud if possible, th cheapest sub that you guys think can hit that, he wants two 12" subs.

Just picked up a pair in a trade. Probably going in my trailblazer. Anyone have any experience with these? I dig the lows and it's looking like I'll be tuning for 31-33Hz. I am trying to understand out of phase vs in phase? Lets say you have 2 speakers, a left and a right. Can only the left speaker be out of phase, while the right speaker in in phase? Or if the speakers are out of phase, then both will be out of phase, and its not possible to have just one ?

2 15" L7 on a kicker 1500zx (spending under 1100) vs. 2 15" FI Q w/ JL audio 1000/1 (would be spending 1300) is it worth it to spend the extra $200?

More times than not, I see people on Youtube with an extra battery in the trunk instead of having a better alternator. Isn't this just pointless? You can hold more juice, but if you can't replenish it faster than you use it, what's the point of 2 batteries? The only thing I can think of is that it's better because you can charge both batteries when your system isn't playing. Just for me I always have my bass on when I drive so this seems weird to me. EDIT: Another thing that gets me. I have 900RMS and my headlights dim, meaning I may have to replace the alternator and battery which costs hundreds. As many of you guys know I enjoy testing out new mids in my truck. So far...CDT CL-6, infinity kappa 6.1, kappa perfect 6.1, CDT HD-6, BA pro 6.5, and others not worth mentioning. So now I think its time to test out another pair. I have a limited budget this month so <$300 for the pair of mids. Here are a few of my ideas, if you have suggestions please feel free to make them. Anybody ever hear of this company? All they make is extremely high priced speakers and a single 10, 12 and 15. They claim to build very high efficient spl subs but the cost is ridiculous. For instance, they have a 10" sub that only uses a 2" coil, rated at 400wrms but goes for $1,000 new, $800 on ebay or $500 if you are sponsored. Here is their site- www.acshockwave.com

I have a 03 Re Audio SE motor. I plan to use this as a learning experiance. I am in contact with Nick@fi about getting parts to build it into a 15. Anyway, I was wondering how people go about cleaning the CA off the top plate? I tried scraping it but that got me nowhere especially with the magnetic field pulling on it. Is there anything that breaks down CA glue that won't harm the motor? Also I cleaned the gap with sticky notes and a skinny wooden rule with masking tape on it. Is there any other ways I don't know about for future refference? The gap is clean and taped up now but it was a PIA. The SE was a 10 previously and suffered from coil rub. And it had shavin…

Who has experience with both subs or who knows which is better? how do they compare with eachother?

ok, going to build a box for my ID8s. going to angle the back to sit flush to my back seat to help save space instead of making a plain square/rectangle shape. problem comes with the port. I attached a real crude drawing I did in paint, the small diagrams are how I think you are supposed to measure port length when the back wall of the box is plumb just like the front of the box. the large one is the way I am guessing you would measure port length when they arent, if its even doable. red is interior port wall blue is point at which I figure Id measure port length. so, whats the verdict?

well my buddy bought the solo x 10's for 350 plus 75 shipping. he ran into major car troubles and asked if i wanted them for 300 no questions asked lol. im sure most of u know i totaled this chicks car a few days ago and have fines to pay SO i sat down with the parents and they agreed to lend me the cash for them ( thank god) i have to pay back $50 per week plus $10 a week intrest so its not all that bad. so i got the solo x's for $360. iv sold my mtx 1501d ( got it fixed) and am using the money from that for a 220 amp alternator. ill also be getting 2 optima yellow tops in the back.so now the big question... the subs are dual 1 ohm, so would i have to get 2 zx 1500.1's,…
