Subwoofers / Speakers

Around the $400 mark for either 1 or 2. 12" or smaller please. I'm in a 08 Lancer and I want to keep my backseat lol. Any suggestions on what I should get. Looking for really good deals on subs. I'm new to this so any input is amazing! thanks.

ok guys, i messed up my recone pretty bad...i used the 10 minute epoxy...and i guess i didn't mix it right bc its just tacky and still not dry. it has been sitting on my counter for well over 5 hours...what should i do?

I just got my magnum in the mail today . I put it right in my box (2.1 @29hz) and wired it up to a brutus 1000 at 1ohm, put in some sublime and wow .I've never had a sub before so this if my first install. I've only heard other kids at my high school and the only one that even comes close to this in loudness and sound quality is a kid w/ a 12L7 in a less than 1 cube box and it's still not as loud. This may not be the right place to post this but if anyone has this amp has any ideas what to set my amp settings at, that would be wonderful. There's Subsonic 15-36hz, bass eq 0-18, lowpass 35-250, and the level/gain 9v-.2v. Thanks.

what kinda of amp would u recommend putting on a 12'' mag? watts? need some help. i dont wanna under do it or over do it

i have a 12" solox pushed by titan 1500, sounds ok, i did 148db outlaw on audiocontrol.. the sub magnet is facing out of box, for looks, ALOT of people say that u will lose db.... how much db do u guys think u loose db with sub upside down.

Howzit going guys, I had a question on how much power would i need for "daily use" . I dont care about db levels or that kind of stuff, just something fun to listen too. I was wondering if 700watts would be good for a fun daily system

i have an ascendant audio atlas 15 and a shocker sig 12 that i need recones for. who would i talk to to get recones for these subs?

I wanted a 15" D2 so bad back in the day when SI got robbed Now I just realize they now produce them, which makes me very sad. Why? I recently ordered a 15" XXX and it should be here very SOON. Now the question is, do I use it for a while then sell it and get a D2, or sell it brand new un-opened? Either way I lose money

Hi, first off i would like to say that all suggestions are welcome and taken into account. I am looking for new speakers for a set up that i will be beginning very soon. For the speakers, i'm on a budget of around $300 dollars. I'm looking for speakers geared more towards rap/hip-hop, so something that can hit the lows well and has clear, crisp highs. Loudness is always a plus. I was thinking that a Sundown SAX-100.4D would be able to power most speakers that i would be considering but any suggestions on different amps would be appreciated. I've often seen that running a sub at lower impedance will increase distortion. Is it possible to generalize at all in this question? For a given sub, you have to try it out, or is it possible to say that at a final load of 4 ohm, you are unlikely to percieve distortion? I am asking because, if there is a risk, it might affect both amp and sub choice due to monetary limitations.

hey i was just thowing together some fast 15 inch box approximations and if i stood the box up so the sub was firing at the back of the front seat i could only get 1 inch of wood at the top and bottom of the box becuase the speaker size it to big ( i got a max of 18.5 in so with 3/4 in mdf i get 1 inch of space at top and bottom. is that enough space or should i sit it down so the sub is firing upwards. if i do that i can get plenty of room. if i face it upward would it sound any differnt?

Got recommendations for both of these subs and gonna have 10"'s box ported designed by RAM designs. Going to have a JL audio 1000/1v2 running them, if anyone has any other recommendations my budget is roughly $400. thanks

well... ive decided its time for my new truck to get a sub or two. I want to get something thats relatively cheap and can produce more bass than my last sytem. I recently sold my 01 extreme blazer. I was running 2 15 inch l7s with a 1200 watt monoblock audiobahn amps. My new truck is an 04 extended cab 1/2 ton chevy. Im going to pull the back seat soon so i will have plenty of room for a box. I dont have money trees in the back yard so id like to keep it pretty low cost =) my ideal set up would be 2 12s i think. if anyone could turn me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. thank you, austin

Ok so a long time ago I had the maw-15's, two of them, anyway they were amazing. but due to economic circumstances I had to regretfully sell them to make ends meet. Also along with my tiny but very stout amp. So here is the new deal going on... I have a better job now. new car. and a new budget. I drive a 2006 Pontiac g6 sedan.... I am looking into two subs for the car. i was wanting 10's because before i sold my maw's i tried to get them in the trunk of the g6 and it didnt work well. so Anyway 2 10's is what im looking at, or maybe 2 12's. budget is $500-$600 for both subs together. thanks in advance ~MadroX *Edit: Spelling Error

as i said earlier i was gunna give a review of these corectly when i got a worthy amp. well i decided to swap them into by dads truck. still no crossover so i just eq'd the lowend out as i liked. and they were running free air. ill be making kickpannels soon so lowend should dramatically improve and it will be safer to try low end hehe. the amp was a 50x4 alpine so each morel was getting 50 watts i played a variation of soft/hard rock song. evanesence, van halen, trapt, nicklback, disturbed, stained. afyter messing with the 3 band eq( yes only 3 band) i thought holy **** ! they were so bright, so clear. not a hint of distortion. absolutley mind boggling. i was seriously d…

i know yall have heard me say i have 2 15" cvx's in sealed box which is about 5 cubic feet!! i wanna show off at prom next weekend but i only have 1 fi q 15"right now, the other one i ordered about 3 days ago, so it will take like a week for the other one to come in.... right now i have the q in the box on my kicker zx 1000. however i still have the 2 cvx's handy, so should i just use those to show off and put my titanium 2400 amp back in to push them? or would yall just leave the Q in on the zx 1000? to me the Q sounds alot better and picks up more frequencies but i'm still kinda breaking the sub in, i've probably played it for about 1 hour total! if you were in my shoes…

well i was playing some new tracks and then i opened my trunk and felt weird smell from woofer, it's playing great but there is some kind a smell, like glue is burning or something, and dust cap gets a little bit warm, am i pushing it too far ? I got 15" JBL rated 350W RMS running it @ 4ohms 500W RMS
