Overall: Both of these set-ups will be going into a 1995 Honda Accord electrical system is up to par to be running the 1200 rms Current set-up: 18" Fi BL Daily Loaded 1200 watts RMS 5.5 cu ft Box ported @ 32Hz Questionable Set-up? 2 x 15" MAW's 1200 watts RMS for them total 5.8 cu ft box ported @ 30Hz what set-up do you guys think will be better? I'm gearing more in terms of SPL. but like if you had to pick between these, which would you find more suitable to you? im a bit of a basshead when I decide t…

I have a Toyota Tundra Regular cab with a sealed 12" Kicker 06TCVT122 400RMS at 2ohms powered by a Kicker ZX400.1 and was looking upgrading to a 15" AA Havoc in a 3.5cuft ported box @ 30hz with either a Sundown Audio 1500D or 1000D. Heres some pics of my available space LxW 60"x18" However, do to my limited space I don't think thats possible so I was also thinking of getting the 15 in a sealed box or two 12 sealed, what do you guys think?

I recently picked up the WT3 and have been playing around with it a bit. But I am a little unclear on a parameter I am supposed to enter in. When having it calculate VAS you need to enter in the Piston Diameter, What should I enter? ie 15 for a 15" driver, 12 for a 12" driver etc. OR Should I enter in a calculated diameter from the Sd? Example a 15" driver is ~12.64", 12" driver ~9.73" etc. Thank you.

Im trying to find out which sub setup would be the loudest. All these subs have good enough sq for me. Im trying to stupid loud but only have 6cuft to work with and my amp is a sundown 1500. I dont want to use more than that in my trunk. All of the choices below are for the max recommended ported box specs. It will go in the trunk of a tahoe. The box & port will face the back. Tell me if theres anymore info you need. I want explanations also. -1 BTL15 in a 5cuft box -2 BL12 in a 5cuft box -2 SSA Icon 12 in a 5cuft box -2 Alpine Type-Rs 15 in a 6cuft box (cheapest) I also have three other choices but lower than the max ported box specs. I'm running out of thread titles.. I'm going to be getting two Mach 5 IXL-12s, and a Orion 2500D to power the two. My truck(see sig) right now, has no head unit and it has one factory speaker that works if I remeber right. I got a replacement headunit, but.. no speakers/component setup/whatever else I can do. What should I do? should I go with 3 way speakers or whatever they are, or go with a component setup? I don't have a lot of cash on tap.. I gotta finish a motor when it arrives, and gotta pay Mark @ Mach 5 when the money transfers to my paypal. Should I worry about a rear stage? I put some older Pioneer subs, Kenwood KAC8103D, and a Kenwood KDC-205 in a sunfire, an…

Im wondering which to get. 2 Fi SSD 12s in its optimal enclosure or 2 Sundown Sa-12s in their optimal enclosure both will be running on the same amp. Im wondering which would get loud and retain sound quality while doing it. All ported by the way.

I am currently running active with a set of ID XS65 in the stock door location of my '02 Tahoe on a Zapco ST-4X. While it sounds ok, it is not loud enough for me. I have done zero deadening to the doors thus far, though I did that on purpose so I could hear the difference for myself when I follow the recommendations of Don(SDS) for doing up the doors. I find myself having to dial back the mids to balance things out anyway, which seems odd to me considering the tweeters have a higher sensitivity and are receiving the same power. When I set the gains I had the tweeters crossed at 2.5k with a 24db slope. I played some music and went up til I had a nasty irritation/screech in…

Just like the title says. I plan on getting 2 12's and SA-12 seems perfect for my budget. I plan on spending about 400 on subs. Also will an SAE 1200 work well with these? Any info is appreciated.

Recently I edited some music, and it had a few really low notes. Decided it was about time I moved my high pass up a little from 15hz. Did that and then for some reason decided it was a good idea to reset my gain even though it sounded perfect as is... As I was doing this and I had the gain all the way down and the deck paused, I noticed a fluttering whine coming from my subs. Thought it was a little weird cause I had never noticed it before. I forgot to mark where I had the gain before which was a mistake.. I tried to set the gain with a 40hz tone, but It was hard to tell where It actually started clipping, I was hearing distortion way before I should have. I thought I h…

After all specs and pricing is weighed, what would be the better route? Amp would be a stetsom 4k2d or saz 3500d. Biggest enclosure I could do is 4.2 cubes before displacements. I will use two 4" x 17" aeroports (double flare). Thanks

Im fixing to start a box for a 12 for some guy over in jacksonville and between all of my scrap wood and the scrap wood from his enclosure i should be able to pull off a 2.4cuft @34Hz enclosure for the assasins with a F3 at ~28Hz. I wanna see what these things look like when they are wanging, and if she likes the ported box better than the WO ill keep the WO and throw thoes Audiobahns to see what it sounds like for HT if not she will get her WO back. Im also thinking about building a false floor in her car just for something to try. Ill mount her amps under it and then she will also have a place to store her jack, lug wrench, extra oil, jumper cables, etc... instead of t…

Stumbled upon this website and wow..... you could make some serious money on some of this junk. I like the looks of this; http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/256144054/Subwoofer.html and; http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/212748482/SPL_2_channel_Mosfet_Amplifier_with.html and; http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/224756014/WG65B_309_Speaker.html Idk there is so much crap on here..... many of them require buying a minimum of 50-500 products depending on what it is..... $1,000 bucks isn't so bad for 250 SETS of speakers. I know most of it is likely made in some shabby chinese / korean / whatever factory..... but a lot of things audio wise are anyway. Opinions? Be nice please,…

Has anyone used these subs? Im currently running two wired at 4 ohm bridged to a 2 Channel Planet Audio 2600.2. Its getting 1800 rms. Can these subs safely be over powered because i know some subs are rated lower than what they can actually take. Also, if anyone has used these subs, have you ever been metered?

Last year I traded locally with this guy for a 12w4. The sub is in my 2006 Chevy single cab truck. Box is roughly 2 cubic feet slot ported tuned at 32hz. The sub sounds perfect for the enclosure. Very very good and accurate sound. My only problem is that it's being pushed by a RF Amp with a birth sheet of 926 rms watts. Definite overkill for the sub. So I've turned it way down. Even at that, if I crank it at the deck and certain frequencies the sub sounds like it's being crunched. So I've thought about swapping the sub for a higher wattage subs. A JL W 6 looks to be to deep for the setup. So I checked around and it appears Kicker makes the CVX with very simila…

So i have been looking around at some midbass woofers but i am not to sure what to look for. What i would like from my midbass is that it sound good between the rages of 60hz-300hz. the midbass woofer will be placed in the door, 2007 ford escape. I would like to keep it under 65 per woofer.
